I've seen this Chick-Fil-A for the freeway for some time and decided that today was the day I was going to check it out. The food aside for a second; who ever designed the drive through at this location is a genius! It's hands down the best drive through line I've ever seen executed. They had not one, not two but three people taking orders outside! I know crazy right ! Three people taking orders. Also, while they occupy a corner of this shopping plaza (where there are other stores and drive throughs) their drive through signage is everywhere ! There was not mistaking where I needed to go...did mention there are other drive through restaurants in this same shopping area ? The person taking my order was pleasant, courteous while being to the point...had wireless payment device and then I was on my way. When I got to the window I was there for like 10 seconds, or long enough to reach out for what I ordered and was back on the road! This Chick-fil-A right off the freeway is a convenient location in Ventura. The team here is really nice and go above and beyond and I genuinely feel like they care about my experience here. I'm always curious about the different dipping sauces available, and the workers are always willing to recommend a few different ones to me to try. The chicken sandwich is a must order. The texture of the bun, chicken, and pickle all work well together. I've also tried their Grilled Chicken Club and it's a solid recommendation as well. The nuggets are a good choice if you want a snack. The waffle fries are very good as well. I've usually ordered food to go here so I've never dined in. The ordering process is quick and they'll have your food ready shortly after you order. You can also place a mobile order through their app so if you time it right you can walk it with your food ready to go and you're able to cut the line. This is going to sound weird, but the Coca-Cola fountain soda machines they have here are really good. I would say it's on par with how McDonald's has theirs. I ordered inside of the store on Saturday morning and ordered 3 breakfast sandwich meals (number 6). I ordered 2 of them with bacon and 2 of them with sausage. I received all 3 sandwiches, however none of them had egg or cheese. It was literally 3 sandwiches with a biscuit and meat. Who ever heard of someone forgetting to add in 2/3 of the sandwich? And what were the people thinking when they even put that together? You'd think they would think it's a little odd to prepare that and give it to a customer. Horrible customer service and strange behavior all around! Akin to coming to a three way stop, I waited for the car that arrived first to enter the drive through before turning to enter myself. I was cut off by a car entering from the opposite direction, and another one trying to rush in after I turned in half way. Is this how aggressive people get when they're hungry for chicken?? Upon reaching a staff to order, not only did she not take my order, she looked the other way. Then I reached the second attendant, and again, nobody acknowledged me. Completely disappointed with this chick fil a. I went through the drive thru and ordered breakfast and I specifically asked for 2 of the 4 count mini yeast rolls without the chicken, just the bread! I repeated it again to the person taking the order and she said okay got it. She never repeated my order except stating that she understood what I wanted and to come around to the front window. She hands me my order and we drive off after checking the bag shortly after, we noticed she actually charged us for the chicken minis and did not give us the correct items. We went back and instead of them acknowledging the mistake, they said this was not an option, but later on rather found it and took the other food back and charged us for what we originally asked for. To me, this was not great business service at all, they mad a mistake and it caused me to deal with the inconvenience of having to go back inside and especially since I had my child in the car who was quite hungry and had to wait even more time to eat because of the mistake they made. I love Chick-fil-a! I'm always treated by their employees with outstanding service and a smile. A little really does go a long way! You know how some fast food places are usually hit or miss with food or good service? Even mediocre service? It's always 10/10 here with both! I have many favorites here, especially their chocolate chip cookies (divine!) but lately my go-to is their Frozen Lemonade. Whether it's in the drive-thru or walk-in, these drinks are always fresh, flavorful and so yummy! Inside the restaurant is clean and spacious. I've not yet found a dirty booth or table on any of my visits here. While I must admit I used to go inside quite often, I now rely on their APP to get business done! I understand they've created the 3 or 4 lanes to smooth through the lines quicker and for COVID reasons. However, they need some lighting!! I asked to see the menu and it was about a 5x7 or even lesser in size that I couldn't even see due to the dark and its size! TODAY I came back since my toddler asked for fries... I asked for a menu again since I'm not familiar with CFA and the person who took my order was abrupt and said he/she didn't have a menu and didn't even bother to tell me from the top of her head what kind of meal they have even for kids (she/he should know or at least be familiar with this!) To top it off... Well, look at my video and pictures. I drove out of the drive way but stopped a few feet away to feed my kid. What in the world??!! Are take-backzies allowed on tips? I just left one for Chick-fil-A recommending people to try the grilled chicken club sandwich for a change. I, assuming it'd be as spectacular as the spicy deluxe sandwich, went ahead and wrote it as a tip being confident that it would taste fine. I was sadly mistaken. The quality of the grilled chicken was sub-par. The bun was different, which I can accept, but the entire combination with the vegetables and the pepper jack cheese just was not appealing. I'd rate it a 3/5 at most. I'm rounding it up to a 4 for their excellent service and their usually amazing menu options. I was in the Ventura area to run a half marathon. I stopped in here for a quick meal as it was conveniently located just off of the 101 freeway at the Telephone Rd exit. There was plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot. I used the mobile app to place my order. I found a table and scanned in the number. My food was brought out to me as soon as it was ready. So in the battle of chicken sandwich I was was finally lured into the chick fil a for a classic chicken sandwich. This review is based solely on the sandwich and not on the environment. While the competitors are typically in more rough environments chick fil a is the rich friend version of chicken joints. It's a 5 star spot solely based on the set up of the dining room but as mentioned my review is based on the sandwich so here we go! While flavorful this classic chicken sandwich lacked any wow. It was a light breading heavily seasoned in a good way but gave nothing to be desired or craved. The textures of the bun blended with the texture of the chicken, no crunch nothing to give the pallet those different feels. Under the chicken were two sad ass pickle chips. Enough for 2 bites to have that zing of acid from the pickle to tie in the flavors. A good flavor profile all around but a lack of texture and body to have me craving another visit. read more

Not one to ever complain, but this Ventura Chick-Fil-A needs to get their stuff in order. Already knowing of the long wait, which I'm ok with, but their drive they lines are somewhat confusing. Waited in line and after ordering, and as I was about to enter the drive thru lane there was a a long line where cars are expected to merge with online orders which is a problem waiting to happen as drivers are hesitant to let any car in. When I arrived at the window I was asked to wait in a parking stall which took them another 20 minutes after the first 20 minutes in line. Finally got my food and I get home and my sons meal isn't even in the bag. I called and spoke to a Manager on Duty and of course they offer to replace the meal but I'm 15 miles from them and my kid is hungry now. I know things happen, but after 40 minutes I'm sure others would be upset as well. NEVER GONNA VISIT THIS LOCATION AGAIN! Oxnard is currently being renovated so I hope it's back up and running soon.
