First and most importantly, we got three different sliders at three different heat levels (medium, hot, and don't chicken out). The order was to go - when we got home, none of them were labeled in any intelligible way so we each tried all three and agreed they were pretty much all the same level of heat. Disappointing. Nashville hot chicken in Glendale? Yes please! We came here for dinner yesterday and it was pretty busy! I guess many were looking forward to their opening. We ordered combo one which was 1 slider and fries and combo three which were 2 jumbo tenders with fries. The chicken was okay... I didn't really like the seasoning. What bothered me more was how the skin didn't stay on the chicken. It was quite soggy and it just all fell off eventually. The fries were good! We also got the watermelon lemonade which was pretty bland. It tasted more like watermelon juice, which I didn't mind because I don't like super sweet drinks anyway! The outdoor patio is cute and instagram-y if you want to post one for the gram. The people are nice and everything following covid safety measures which were good! Hand sanitizers by each window, tables 6 ft apart, and everyone wearing masks. I would probably try again in a couple months to see if anything changes! If they gave 2-3 pieces if you added the tenders on any combo that would make up for it. After ordering it took like 20 minutes to get my food. Quite long if you're comparing it to other fried chicken spots that usually come out in half the time. The chicken was piping hot ( the breading kind of fell off), chicken was juicy, but small. Amazing spot nestled in Glendale, with fantastic food. We got the Mini Steve' Fries (which is 1.5lbs?!) which was more than enough for two of us. We rounded out the meal with a Chicken Slider that was delicious and well balanced: not too rich but very decadent. The chicken is cooked superb, there was juices dripping from it after I took a bite. We finished off the meal with a regular churro. It was crispy outside and soft inside with a great blend of cinnamon sugar outside. The flavor was reminiscent of Disneyland's churros which are some of the best in my opinion. We decided to try this place after hearing about a new hot chicken spot in our neighborhood. Upon arrival we were surprised to see it was the location of what was formerly known as Trap Chicken. We ordered online, well in advance, and unfortunately had to wait out in the hot sun for an additional 20 minutes. We were given complimentary lemonades for our wait, they were bland. The food was tasty! I really liked the fries! Overall food was okay! I believe it was their opening day so maybe that's why service wasn't up to par as they were working out the kinks of getting orders out in a timely manner. Absolutely the best! The sliders were phenomenal with perfectly balanced flavors. I got the medium and also tried the hot and I loved the cheese, coleslaw and toppings. Fries had just the right amount of seasoning and the mac and cheese was also delicious. The lemonade was a big surprise. I don't drink lemonade, it's usually too sweet but this one wasn't. Chick Next Door is a new chicken joint that was founded in 2020 and they're located in Glendale. I was feeling adventurous for a late night dinner and end up on this chicken joint. Their food and drink list were not that extensive albeit expected since it's a chicken fast food joint. I ordered Combo 2: two chicken sliders and french fries and pink lemonade. You can adjust the level chicken's hotness; I opted for mild. The two sliders and fries were fresh, warm, tender, crispy and juicy. The tiny chicken sliders have a unique interesting flavor but not substantial enough to say the least. As for the Lemonade, it was refreshing and cold. Service was mildly slow. Prices were fair. Staff was attentive, competent and professional. Indoor and outdoor seats are available. Moreover, they have a great music playlist (kaskade) as you eat. In this great review, it's time to end our little chick review. Overall, I had an average experience and food/drink. I had better chicken sandwich (e.g., Chicken Day) and bun. The cashier girl with the colored highlights is very nice. She asked me how spicy? I requested the hottest. It wasn't that hot at all but it tasted really good but a slider was a slider and very small. This was our first time dining at this restaurant and I have to say that it was one of the best places I've tried in the last 3 months. The location of this makes it easy to miss however once you step up to the ordering stand and order (the staff being incredibly friendly) you get to see what Chick Next Door offers. Their main dishes are their chicken sliders combined with your choice of fries, coleslaw or their mac and cheese. For their spiciness of chicken you get a choice of mild, medium, hot and extra hot, while at the same time offering a "not spicy" option for the kids if you decide to bring them. Their secret ingredient comes in the form of an orange (looks like thousand island but the taste is far from that) sauce that adds a punch to their sliders as well as dipping for their fries. The item that definitely took me by pleasant surprise was there Steve's Fries which are pretty much an amalgamation of their chicken tenders (your choice of hotness included), fries, macaroni and their orange sauce. The best way that I can describe it to other foodies out there is imagine if you had some carne asada fries but instead of their steak you have a nice tender piece of chicken.
