Such an amazing staff and experience! We visited the restaurant during the Dine LA event this summer and it was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious and with the Dine LA menu we were able to get to try so many different dishes for such an amazing price point. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The staff explained the different menu items in a way that felt welcoming and not condescending. Overall a wonderful experience and can't wait to try out some new hidden gems next summer during the dine LA event. The food here is so delicious! My favorite is definitely the chicken masala with the garlic naan. Everything always comes out so fresh and HOT, which I absolutely love. Our waitress was also so sweet and gave us really great recommendations. She had us try a fish dish that we had never ordered before, and we definitely did not regret it. It was delicious! My boyfriend also wanted a spicy naan, so she recommended a cheese naan with bell peppers added to it, and he loved it. We had such a good experience. This is my new favorite place to get delicious Indian Cuisine! The restaurant is nicely decorated and has plenty of seating. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I was there for their extensive vegan menu and it did not disappoint! Unlike many other Indian restaurants, the naan is vegan! That alone made the visit. We started our meal with Vegan Garlic Naan, Cheese Naan (for my friend) and Pani Puri (a popular Indian street food) they were all incredible! The Uttapam was new to me, and I'll definitely order it again. For my entree I had the Nirvana Tofu which I highly recommend to vegans and non-vegans alike. Dessert was a refreshing Mango Sorbet. Large delivery order for 6 people arrived hot and well packaged (deli containers) in branded bags. Taste-wise, the food was good. Portions were small, with a lot of sauce, not a lot of meat (12 oz for tikka masala and makhani each had about 4-6 oz of chicken) saag paneer (8 oz, 5 3/4" cubes). Lamb vindaloo seemed a bit more meat than chicken dishes. All the sauces were thinner than expected (chutneys and raita included). The only item that was thicker than expected was the mango lassi. Upon arrival I was expecting it come with rice because I'm not understanding how it's $76.52 for 2 small Togo containers of tikka,2 samosas,garlic naan,and 2 mango lassi. Second strike was the mango lassi being spoiled. Within the first sip I could tell it was sour not from the mango but from the yogurt being spoiled. The staff is so sweet and friendly and you can see that this family run restaurant really enjoys sharing their delicious dishes with you. The mix of traditional dishes and some street dishes, it was a wonderful mix of flavors. We left there full and totally satisfied. In fact, the food was so good and they really had great vegan dishes for my sister, we went back the next night. There is something to be said about that. Our waitress was very young, polite, and professional. We ate at one of the lower tables. Great experience but it was uncomfortable for me. My legs were too long and I'm only 5 ft 6. My husband is a regular at their restaurant on Fair Oaks in Pasadena and he says he can tell a difference between the chicken tikka masala. I really can't. My bestie and I met here for lunch during our work break. I bookmarked the Pasadena location a while back after it showed up in my feed a few times, and later realized they had a second location here in Glendale, right off of Brand - easier for my bestie to get to. We opted to order from the second menu, sharing a plate of Vada Pav sliders and the Gulabi Farfalle. The vegetarian sliders were small spicy potato patties in buns, a twist on a popular Indian street food. The gulabi farfalle was a creamy tomato pasta with a hint of Indian spices. I had an appointment in Glendale and, like any reasonable Angeleno, decided I'd rather kill time with food than sit parked on the 5 pretending it's a parking lot. Yelp told me I was dangerously close to All India Café, which had been sitting on my "to-try" list, so in I went. The Chicken Tikka Kebab came out sizzling and fragrant--juicy boneless pieces that hit all the right notes of cilantro, ginger, and garlic. But the real MVP? The green sauce on the side. Bright, herby, tangy--it was so good I considered asking for a to-go tub and calling it dinner. The little pickled veggies were a fun bonus too. The Peshwari Naan was sweet and nutty, almost dessert-like, though it came with a jam that didn't really do it for me. Still, naan on its own? Yum. I also ordered the Gajar Al Hawa dessert--warm, carrot-based, and surprisingly comforting. Unique flavor, but I was into it. For drinks, I tried the Maharaja's Fashion (their Indian Old Fashioned with saffron bitters). Couldn't really taste the saffron, but the bourbon and orange combo still worked. Service was warm and attentive without hovering, and since I rolled in early evening, I pretty much had the place to myself. We were working for a place to eat and happened to stumble in here! Immediately, we were greeted by our server who offered us lounge seating on the floor or a standard table (try the lounge). As a vegetarian, Indian food is typically an amazing option and this place was no exception--our waitress was able to provide several recommendations and options and we tried an assortment of things all of which were delicious. All dishes on the menu were well-marked as vegan, vegan option, and gluten-free so there was never a concern. Definitely one of only a few great Indian places in LA! The lunch special is a fantastic value and portion for a great price, and is absolutely delicious! Full of flavor, love the Naan, and the sides all go well together. You can keep dipping the Naan into the Masala and it's so satisfying.Comes with Dahl and Potatoes stew. We also love the Samoas. It's a very nice atmosphere with Indian Bollywood on the screens. Service is also great, so much to choose from too if you want vegetarian options.
