Absolutely the best chicken around. 5 stars. Great selection, great prices, delicious, and filling. The menu offers much more than just chicken, too. Ribs, burgers, salads, mozzarella sticks, sweet potato fries, corn nuggets (amazing), etc. It's quite extensive. I'd drink the BBQ sauce alone it's that good. I googled, "best fried chicken northern nj" and found people talking about Chicken Galore. So I drive 20 minutes to fair lawn and pull up to Chicken Galore. Sure it's a hole in the wall but GODDAMN it was worth it! I got 4 fried wings side of Mac cheese, mashed potatoes w/gravy corn bread and rice pudding. 20 minute drive back home ad the chicken was still crispy, hot and possibly the juciest fried Chicken I've ever had. Really great. Mac and cheese was good nothing special. the gravy they put on their mashed potatoes was a really good beef gravy and the corn bread was the perfect complement to everything. I don't understand why people love this place so much. We ordered two cheeseburgers and buffalo wings. The cheeseburgers were hard, dry, and had an awful metallic smell to them. Not edible. I'm not kidding. Also can't forget the hair found in the freezer burned french fries. The wings were overly salty and not at all 'buffalo wings.' The delivery guy was also visibly hammered. We received their menu in our mailbox a few days ago. We loved the idea that we could order fried chicken in our area for delivery. All we've had around here (for fried chicken delivery) is Chicken and Rib Crib. Tonight we got the #6; fried chicken and "English Style" fish fillets with a couple sides. We also ordered two cornbread. Sides weren't tasted yet. But I don't have high hopes, to say the least. I'll explain... The chicken... thin, non-crisp coating, flabby skin. Needed A LOT more seasoning. Overall, a 2.5 out of 10. Pretty Bad. The fish... absolutely awful, and NOTHING like what *anyone* would know "fish and chips" to be like. English Style?!? LOL It was flat, machine-formed frozen food. Even worse than what would get in a *cheap* TV dinner. The worst thing is the pressed fillets were pale and GREASY like you wouldn't believe. Don't expect a great crispy batter coating because it's soaked with oil. The "tartar sauce" that we got for the fish was packaged in the same small white plastic containers with the tear-off foil tops that you get at Burger King, etc, for dipping (we got 3 of them). The fish came packaged in a square white foam container. Fish Overall, a 1 out of 10. Terrible. Seems to us, lots of pre-made, frozen stuff that they just throw in a fryer, and even so, they aren't good with frying properly. We gave them a $30 shot, and their menu is already in the trash. Although we haven't tried the other sides that came with the order, their cornbread is packaged like "Twinkies" and their rolls look no better (looks like cheap, frozen, factory-made stuff). Never again. Although I cannot recommend it, if you must have fried chicken delivery in this area (Hawthorne and adjacent) I would give Chicken and Rib Crib an advantage here, even though I'm not a fan of them either. read more

Hubby picked up dinner for us Friday night. Dinner consisted of 10 pieces of chicken, 10 shrimp and potato pancakes. Chicken was so over cooked that legs and wings looked like a dried out mummy! Shrimp was so undercooked that the breading was mushy instead of crunchy. Cocktail sauce for shrimp was frozen!! Potato pancakes were still raw in the middle!! Hope it was an off night!!! My entire order was messed up. I ordered a jumbo dinner (6 pieces) and the piece types were not what I ordered. I ordered mashed potatoes and got french fries. The chicken was slightly undercooked (eek!), and it was much fattier than KFC. The fries were mushy. I like to support local businesses but in this case I see no reason to go back. read more

Site says they deliver to Paramus, called in, gladly took the order. Within 5 minutes they called back stating they don't deliver to our part of Paramus (4.9MI, 11Minutes). I explained that the person who took the order confirmed they deliver to Paramus to which the gentleman said "I'm sorry sir but she's new and didn't know". I then explained that the website doesn't specify that parts of Paramus would be excluded and that the website also states they deliver to Riveredge which is even further away. The gentleman just responded that he was sorry, I asked to speak to the manger and was told that it was to busy to speak to him, I insisted and after a few minutes hold and the original woman picking up the phone as if I didn't call and her transferring me stating "he called back again", I finally got to speak to a manager who explained that it was not that they don't deliver to my area, but because it is superbowl sunday he couldn't deprive more local customers over me. In my opinion favoritism doesn't equal good business, if your website states that you deliver to specific areas, deliver to those areas regardless of the day or work load, especially like a day on Superbowl Sunday, hire temporary staff to make these deliveries. Giving 1 star for now, we still placed an order I will update the review based on the quality of the food. read more

One negative is the price, they really charge a premium price (I think they can do better.) They have very good, tasty chicken. They're extensive menu is well laid out. The chicken wings are the smallest I've ever seen. I get bigger wings from a bar, the chinese place and so on - they should get bigger wings.. The sides and fried shrimp are good. read more

This is the place to go when you want something that's way better than KFC or Popeyes. I mean, come on people y'all can't expect an amazing four course meal like you might get from a diner or something. The employees at Chicken Galore work pretty hard and I give them credit for not "overbreading" chicken like most chicken places do. Chicken Galore is simple with quite the family history, and the food isn't as bad as most people claim it is. I would rather eat Chicken Galore food my entire life than KFC, honestly. They deliver as well, and I give a lot of credit to the delivery guy because he juggles both his job and supporting his little family at the same time. Wow, my food took an hour to come big whoop? You guys are lucky to even have food in front of you. I mean it's not like you paid $1000 for it!! Be grateful that there's even a crumb on your plate because some people don't even have anything. Today I went to this place and I thought that the food was absolutely delicious. The wings are some of the finest tasting chicken I have tried, crisp and juicy not a hair under or overcooked, however lacking the sauce. As for the atmosphere, dylan s is right, 80% of the restaurant is the kitchen, containing two small tables and a vending machine. I know for next time to take the wings to go but I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! read more

Horrible food and horrible service. If I could give this place zero stars that's exactly what I would do. I got the Rib Dinner from what they are trying to pass off as a restaurant. First they were off colored and smelled funny. The meat was tough and clearly cheap/frozen. When I called to complain. There solution was to still try it because no one else had complained about the horrible ribs that day. I told them I was not going to try because I was not going to get sick and he responded with "sorry we can't do anything for you". I would give big zero star to this place,worst place to go, had a bad experience today, me and my family went to eat there first time and had worst service and worst experience no one want to go through.We were served pieces of glasses in the food and they still charged us for all the food we ordered which was just glasses and I have a proof of it, I took the pictures of it. We ordered the food and as food came on the table the wall which was totally glass broke with some reason which they are going to charge huge from the insurance company for that for sure .The glasses was all over in our food but non of the staff came and apologized or they were not even sorry for spoiling our dinner our food, instead when I called them and showed the glasses they did nothing just picked up plates saying sorry and threw it but they still charged for the total worst food I ever had.will never suggest anyone to go there. read more

We ordered the Bex Special for the kids (3 Mozz sticks, 3 chicken fingers, and fries). It was perfect. Our little girl got her chicken fingers regular, our son got the spicy fingers. The owner switched out the fries for tater tots. They were so good my husband and I made a game out of stealing a few. We got the 10 Leg Fried Chicken Special. Mashed Potatoes. Corn Nuggets. And Broccoli Bites. First of all, the batter they use on the chicken is great. Would love the recipe. The corn nuggets are heavenly. And the kids, who hate anything with green in it, ate half of our Broccoli Bites. I am not a french fry person myself, and didn't expect much from the mashed potatoes, but they were also a delicious alternative (get the gravy also - it was addicting). And the 10 leg special is ingenious. My husband and I love the legs and fight over them when I cook, so this made it easy. I had to take the kids with me to pick up the food which is usually a disaster (they deliver but we were in a rush). The restaurant had a toy egg vending machine, which for a quarter kept them occupied. And the place had a great family feel. The owner was cooking my chicken, his daughter was taking the orders, his son was bagging the food, and his nephew just appeared to be hanging out telling jokes and being a cutey.
