I had never heard of Chicken Salad Chick and definitely didn't know there was a chain of stores. Glad they exist though. The restaurant is bright and airy. You place your order at the counter and find a seat, of which there are lots in this location. The food arrived fairly quickly and I appreciated that the soup was hot and the salad was cold. The chicken artichoke soup was slightly creamy and well seasoned without being salty. The Fancy Nancy chicken salad had Fuji apples, grapes and pecans. Though it had more mayo than I typically prefer the flavor was good- slightly sweet, slightly tart. The pecans add a nutty flavor but the texture of them seemed to be lost in the salad. The broccoli salad was great, slightly crunchy broccoli, cheese, bacon with a bit of dressing - delicious. Crackers and a cookie came with the meal. Since I didn't order the sandwich, I appreciated the crackers and the cookie was a sweet treat for the end of the meal. If I came across a Chicken Salad Chick restaurant again, I'd stop in to try more of their menu and as an alternative to more traditional quick food fare. read more

Nice concept with very good chicken salad. I had the broccoli salad which was not overly dressed in mayonnaise which was a nice surprise. If you want something other than a burger, this is a great choice. My daughter had the melt which was buttery goodness. read more

Stopped by while in town for a meeting. This is a chain restaurant that offers a wide variety of chicken salads. You can have your chicken salad on a sandwich or as scoop on a bed of lettuce. I'd highly suggest previewing the menu before you arrive, because you can't see the menu while waiting in line. It's blocked from view until you're right on top of the register. They should consider fixing that. Not being familiar with their menu, you may feel pressured to make your choices without enough time to take in the menu. You place your order at the register, take a number, and they bring your food to your table. The negative reviews that refer to tipping wait staff makes no sense, as there are no waters/waitresses in this restaurant. It's fast food with some staff working the dining room to keep it clean. BTW, we found the place to be really clean. We ordered some chicken salad, a soup, and the grape salad. The chicken salads were fine, but had a bit too much mayo for our liking. The soup was wonderful. The real star here for us was the grape salad. Fresh grapes with a cream cheese and sour cream based sauce and topped with a sprinkle of brown sugar and chopped pecans. I should have known by the lack of cars in the parking lot at lunchtime. There is a smell of mold/rotten something that never left my nose but I pushed through for lack of time I had available left. I use to work there shout out to Jose, Sarah, and gen for being rockstars , Mike on the other hand has cussed and yelled at there previous GM putting her down etc very unprofessional, I worked in the back it's clean for the most part but the current Generel manager Samantha is hanginging with her highschooler workers outside of work i fine that odd a 34yr old women with kids is alone with a 15-16 yr old kid gossiping and smoking weed cigarettes god knows what else, the GM Samantha turned down my request for new shoes and told me to figure something else out i have fell over 3 times since then smh. I worked in the back alone one while week low staffed so bad it was sad because she said it's for her bonus that's a sad reason why we suffered I have evidence that this GM is hanging out with minors so management is taking a turn for the worse behind closed doors she even gossips with the minors about people very unprofessional. Food was good but I've seen a rat to a roach to dead flies in the back. Still clean facility over all just terrible management unfair pay for everyone but day crew , finally mr Luis drinks coronas all day drunk slurring his words etc very fake individual and deserves the worse hes yelled and complained about his raise before the tip system makes 18 plus tips for drinking having no chicken salad prepped if we ask he complains for what reason? Idk the alcohol probably definitely should lose his job after talking bad about some of the day crew and the drinking. Should you work here? I would say yes! However hearing that the management of this company tipped a waitress so bad is terrible especially when salad chicks ask that there employees be tipped as a method of circumventing paying them a higher wage but will not tip a local waitress the base level amount. read more

I have been so hyped to try this!! We lived in Ga and one came up where we lived as soon as we were relocated to KCMO. We were up in Columbia today visiting nature trails and I legit made my husband not get on the interstate and find a place to turn around. I got the Carole original and it is such a good OG flavor, however the Dixie Chick had my heart!! I'm a sucker for onions! Other notable mention was the spicy pimento cheese, reminded me of being at my nanas house in South Georgia.... Sooooo good. 10/10 recommend and we will definitely stocking up the cooler and head to Columbia, way more often! read more
