Service was friendly, not very fast, but then they had a steady stream at the counter and at the drive-through. Prices are reasonable for the quantity and quality I guess. At first, it doesn't look like there's any dining in, but there is a thin strip of tables along one side. Restroom is way in the back. The bowl of soup looks more like what I would expect the size of a cup to be. It's decent, thick, not much chicken, some cheese and rice. Good on a cold day. Nothing special. The broccoli salad is fresh, also has cheese, bacon, and a nice dressing. Bigger portion of that. I'd go back. Sweetie goes once in a while. There's something here for everyone to eat. read more

I am really liking how fresh the food is at this restaurant. I ordered the broccoli cheese soup and the Fancy Nancy chicken salad on a croissant. Delicious! I also love the little cookie that comes with each platter. My husband enjoyed his Bacon Cheddar melt with broccoli cheese soup. The service is quick. Substituted a bowl of broccoli for cheddar/broccoli soup despite not even mentioning that they were out of soup. And on top of that, the chicken salad was mediocre at best...all hype, no substance. This is an interesting little restaurant. I really liked the ability to just buy the prepackaged for at the register. It was all packed fresh within the span of an hour and I loved being able to choose small portions of different salads. I didn't order a meal but I noticed others in front of me did and they looked amazing. I know we are living in a DoorDash/UberEats world but I did not like the fact that those drivers were all sitting in the restaurant seats taking up the area for customers to sit. Our first visit here and we enjoyed a good meal. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken salad containing apples, grapes, and pecans. The classic chicken salad was not as good as it was a little salty and lacked celery. While the portions of chicken Salad were good, the portions of soup were smaller than expected. Chicken salad turned into a destination treat. Who would've thought? This chain has more choices than you might imagine, including some interesting sides and sandwich combos. I scheduled my order to be picked up and when I got there at the scheduled time they claimed they "didn't know where my order was" and a few minutes later told me they gave it to someone else. I waited 10 mins then was handed a bag and when I opened it it just had the two scoops and that's it. No crackers, pickles, or cookie. I ordered the two scoop meal. This review is based on many visits over the past few years. I wouldn't continue to patronize the business, except it is my toddler's favorite food. The service is exceptionally slow, for a place that is compiling food items, not cooking them. Online orders in particular seem to take upwards of 30 min to be ready. Order accuracy is frequently a problem. Multiple times items have been forgotten. Now, we make it a habit to check our order before leaving which is a step we shouldn't have to take. There are frequently items they are out of. This last trip, the fresh fruit side was only squishy grapes and 1/2 a strawberry. The food is typically good. I feel bad leaving this review as I love chicken salad chick! But unfortunately the service at this location needs a total overhaul. My boyfriend and I placed a pick up order at 1:15 pm that was scheduled to be ready at 1:30. We got to the location a few minutes early for pickup (maybe 5ish minutes) so I completely understand having to wait a bit longer as it wasn't 1:30 yet. However we were met with over a 45 minute wait past our pickup time!!!! That's absolutely ridiculous. Especially for chicken salad! There is no "cook time" involved in the process of making these dishes just mixing pre made ingredients in a bowl. And everything else besides the chicken salad is premade/pre packaged. It is truly beyond me why 4 scoops of chicken salad could take that long. I understand they were a bit busy but still cannot justify it taking that long for a pre scheduled order. To make matters worse we weren't the only ones experiencing this ungodly wait time. About 15 minutes into waiting the man beside us informed us he too had been waiting for over 45 minutes past his pickup time for his order. RIDICULOUS! Then to make matters worse the staff couldn't seem to care less. No order updates to everyone waiting, rude brushed off behavior to costumers coming in to order, and not even a halfhearted apology for the wait when finally handing us the order. Newly open so will definitely go back. Went thru the drive thru which was fairly quick. Understandably they are still training staff and getting things in order. Staff was friendly and pleasant. I ordered the chick with sandwich (Olivia's old south) on white non-toasted and mac & cheese and also a small quick chick classic carol. The mac and cheese was decent, creamy, and good sized for a side. The sandwich was very bland. Did not have the lettuce and tomato on it as advertised and a lot of bread for the amount of salad. The small cookie is a Cheryl's iced sugar cookie. The classic carol salad was good and came with some crackers which is nice. I definitely want to try a few other varieties and their soup. I waited in line for the grand opening. The staff and corporate was really nice One of the corporate members told me the story of how the restaurant got started. It was a very interesting story. I have never seen so many options for chicken salad. I chose the Fancy Nancy croissant sandwich. It comes with a side and cookie. I like that they have quick pick chicken items as you walk in. I look forward to trying them all, especially since I get free food for a year. All the tables have table cloths on them, It makes the place look really charming. So close to my work...yet, unfortunately I don't go to often. Not because the food isn't good, because it is! The thing is...they are really, really slow. I've waited in line at the drive thru for 20 mins on more than one occasion. I expected hiccups when they first opened, but I still have issues with waiting way too long for my order. It's not like they are cooking anything? I did hear an employee mention that they take care of Door Dash and such orders before customers that are there? Decided to hit the drive thru and check this place out on lunch. There was a bit of a wait but they just opened a week ago so I'm sure they are still figuring things out. The "chick" that took my order told me her favorite sandwich so I went with the sassy Scott chicken melt and a bowl of tortilla soup. After one bite I had to cut off a piece for my co worker to try. I absolutely loved the croissant this sandwich came on. I will say the croissant and cheese out shined the chicken salad I got however, it was still very good. I came in for a pick up order for people at my office and when I asked for my order that was pre paid and pre scheduled, they looked at me like I was insane. I showed them the email which had the payment information, name, everything on it and they looked at me like "okay what do you want us to do about it?" I literally had to be like "I don't know what to do from here" and they got their manager who looked at the email and was like "oh hold on a minute". After waiting for a while, I told who I was picking up for food it might be a minute and they were like "cancel it, we will get somewhere else." The take home options all looked delicious and the soup we ordered with our sandwiches was to die for! Service with a smile is an understatement! We were so excited to try Chicken Salad Chick when it came to Grandview because we had tried it in Florida and just loved it! However, we were extremely disappointed with our experience, especially the portions. We ordered the fancy Nancy on a croissant combo with tortilla soup and while the taste was wonderful, there was less than a tablespoon of chicken salad on the sandwich! In fact, there was ONLY chicken salad on half, the other half was bread, lettuce and tomato! The soup was tasty too, again skimpy portions about 1/4 of a cup, less than half of the cardboard soup carry out container! The ball bite size Cheryl's like sugar cookie for dessert was nice! We wont be back to this location, we'll try the one in Polaris and see if they skimp on portions there too! We strongly do not recommend this restaurant! read more

Ordered on the app at 12:12 to pick up some lunch. Order was supposed to be ready at 12:30. Did not receive our order until 1:20! At arrival checked in at the counter. after waiting awhile checked in again. Many other customers arrived and received their orders. Went to the back and didn't come back out, like they were hiding. Called and spoke to a manager. Who was basically like "yep, it's been a really long time, sorry. No explanation, no communication, no compensation offered. No anything. It took an hour and 10 minutes to receive the order. I am appalled at the lack of customer service received. I never complain. I worked in the food industry and am very understanding. So it takes a ridiculous amount to make me complain. And to complain and get a yep, sorry is insane. If they had communicated whatsoever and not hidden in the back, we would have been understanding. Like if they were out of the flavor of chicken salad we ordered, they could have let us know and asked if we wanted a different flavor or to wait. if the soup we ordered was the issue, they could have told us and we could have decided what we wanted to do. But to not communicate whatsoever, not offer compensation or even a freaking coupon for the next visit is insane. I'll definitely choose a different location in the future. read more

My family of 5 had lunch at the brand new Chicken Salad Chick in Grandview Heights today. The store was very clean, the staff friendly, well trained and enthusiastic. Among the 5 of us, we tried many of the menu items. We loved the classic chicken salad. The special chicken salad melt was a favorite of the group as was the broccoli salad and the chicken tortilla soup. Less well received by us was the egg salad and loaded potato soup. The sweet pickle taste over powered the egg salad. The presentation of the loaded potato soup was nice but the soup was a little thicker than I like and a bit salty. Both of these may be just how another customer likes their egg salad and potato soup. The Cheryl's cookie at the end is such a nice touch. Grand opening is this week and it was amazing to me how well the staff is already working together as a team. Service was very efficient. It is a very nice addition to the food scene in Grandview. The only other criticism I would have is it is hard to turn into coming south on Dublin Rd. We missed the driveway, not sure if there is a left turn there. You see the shop but the driveway is before the store. It was pretty easy to go turn around but sone signage would be helpful. Overall though a really nice restaurant and delicious food. read more
