Today I came in and took a seat at the sushi bar at lunchtime. I was promptly greeted with and asked if I wanted the full menu or abbreviated lunch menu, was given a carafe of water and glass, and told that my server would be with me shortly. Fifteen minutes went by and I kept looking around for a server but could not make eye contact with anyone. There were only a few tables occupied-maybe three. The worst part was that the heavily bearded gentleman charged with sushi rolling/making was joking around with his kitchen crew loudly, in Spanish, was standing right in front of me, and totally ignoring me. Why do sushi makers all think that smug arrogance is part of the required persona to be a "sushi chef"? Oh well. You folks lost a customer. There are plenty of other places to get sushi that is just as good.
