Oh my goodness, this chicken is GOOD! A few people had told me about this place, and I had to try it. I went through the drive-thru and can't speak on the ambiance inside, but this is in a cute little location. The menu is pretty simple, you basically get giant chicken strips, with a bun is a slider, and there are a few sides. We tried no spice, mild, less seasoning mild (I think, it might have been worded differently, but essentially means the same thing), and medium chicken. When you see the chicken, you get a red crispy strip, but the taste wasn't as hot as you'd expect from the color. Lots of paprika and chili powder, but it was good and so juicy! The medium was just right, the mild was good for my husband who is a wimp with heat. The no spice was a little bland, but pretty comparable to Caine's. My toddler liked that one, but it could have used a little salt. The fries and bread were pretty basic, but the fried cheese was basically seasoned just like the chicken. The ranch tasted homemade. Seriously probably the best fast food chicken I've ever had. I tried to replicate it at home later, but I still used nowhere near enough paprika and chili powder. Definitely a new favorite. Well, it happened ...they cut their tender size in HALF. Literally one tiny tender on their sliders and in their combos. I used to be willing to pay a little extra for the quality and portion sizes but it's no longer worth it. This chain is going down hill fast. read more

Food? Great. Service? Great. My taste buds? Also great--though the chicken clearly knew it was hot stuff. The atmosphere, though... let's just say it's less "buzzing hotspot" and more "waiting room for deliciousness." It takes a minute to cook the food (which I actually appreciate), but being in a small space with 10 other customers rocking their best bored DMV expressions is not exactly Instagram-worthy. Maybe the solution is to borrow a few of those Cracker Barrel pegboard games. That way, when you're done proving you can beat hot chicken, you can prove you're smarter than the average bored stranger. Stopped into the new location. First visit to Dave's Hot Chicken. Since they just opened this location 2 days prior we knew it would be busy. It was but we stayed and waited. The new employees were nice and obviously still learning the menu and registers. They were very friendly and took our order and answered all our questions about the menu. We waited a few minutes for our food but everything came out hot and right. The sandwiches were yummy! Chicken was nice I got the lite mild. Hardly any spice might move up next time. Love the pickles and Dave's sauce. Mac and cheese was good too. Can't wait to come back when the crowds die down a little. read more

I went through the drive thru, ordered just a 3 ct of daves hot mozz, and after waiting 30 minutes to pay i was then told to wait in the handicapped spots until i was brought my food. I waited around 45-hr total just to get my hot mozzarella sticks. there were multiple workers with zero sense of urgency, and maybe 2 customers in the store. still smacked tho good af so im not super mad read more

I'm picky about my chicken sandwiches. Somehow they have been able to season the chicken just so the chicken is tender and moist and with each bite it is just heavenly. The service is OK. The ambience is relaxed casual. The parking lot can be a little tricky. The disabled parking is very close to the exit for the drive-through so that can be problematic. a lot of teenagers get lunch there so there's a lot of coming and going. It's busy. I love the chicken slider. It has some kale coleslaw and some pickles on it and some of their sauce. I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

If you like Dave's Hot Chicken, this is a great restaurant. The staff was well trained. The food came out quick, accurate, and hot. The store was clean and well-stocked. If you don't know this restaurant and like chicken fingers, it's worth trying. This is especially true if you like spicy chicken. Our favorite part was the fries. They had a great seasoning on them. Second was the sauce- it was like a mix of mayonnaise and ketchup. I got a 'hot' slider. I thought the flavor was great and loved it. I bought 2, but probably only needed one. My son bought a chicken tender with no heat. He thought it was a little too plain. If he bought it again, he'd get in with extra mild, to add some flavor. One thing to note- it's pretty expensive. I bought the 2 sliders mean for $13. It didn't come with a drink. My son bought 2 tenders and a soda. For the 2 of us, it cost $30. Also, they wanted to charge me for a cup of water for a lid. A manager stepped in and said not to worry about it, but- seems a little petty if you're dropping $30 on a meal. All in all, Dave's is worth a try. I ordered a chicken sandwich with the least amount of heat level and after I took a bite I was spitting flames like a dragon from how to train your dragon. The instant the tender touched my tounge I had to leave my game sprint down stairs and get milk to stop my tounge from falling off. Then I took a bite into the other sandwich and it was even hotter, I think I'm about to throw up from the spice and all this cow juice I've been drinking. When I walked in, there was no one else waiting, yet I was ignored by the staff for several minutes. No one acknowledged me or even said hello. When I finally placed my order, I expected it to be fairly quick since the place wasn't busy--but it took almost 20 minutes to get my food. Service is horrendous especially if you go at 4PM during shift change. Apparently it took them 20+ minutes to "count money", (can't be that hard to count money folks or there's something wrong), and nobody could problem solve how to handle a line of cars while they "count money". I did ask if they could use one of the other cash registers to process my order, which they replied no. Honestly I can't understand why. Regardless, took over 20-nearly 30 minutes to receive 3 orders and BTW it cost over $75.00 . BTW I was informed by the very, very young manager (possibly a HSchool kid -- I assume) that they are required to "count money" from their cash registers 5 times a day -- good grief. Lastly, ordered two medium (heat level) and other w/no spice w/2 milk shakes -- not impressed by the lack of taste -- so disappointing. Horrid experience - wouldn't return! read more

Great food and chicken and fries, however we stopped at the Polaris location at 10:20 on August 6th 2024 and they had the doors locked and various things scattered in the drive way so you couldn't drive up and order, there were about 4-5 staff members we could see in there. Then we tried to call the restaurant and the guy would answer and say hello and say he couldn't hear us and hung up every single time. Not sure what was going on, if you're going to close early please at least put a sign in the window. We drove a while away to get some Dave's because I was craving it. Overall, the chicken sandwich was really good. Nothing special about the chicken tender, little bit on the dry side. My order was made incorrectly, which did not bother me it happens. What bothered me was after i politely asked for it to be corrected, i received a box that was covered in sauce, spice, and grease. I asked for a napkin and had to clean the box in front of the employee. Customer service was terrible. I did not feel welcomed and it seemed like the employees did not care about their job and didn't want to be there. For a brand new opening you would think the customer service was better than the food, but that was not the case. I am not sure if I will ever be going back. The main reason for the 3 star is strictly due to customer service. Really a bummer, hopefully others do not get the same experience we did. read more

If I were to be asked I would advise people to stay away for a few months. At least until they figure out how to operate efficiently. Went there for lunch today and took 30-40 minutes for myself and 5 cars ahead to get through the drive through. Wouldn't you know that by the time I get my food it's cold. They also forgot to serve the drink I ordered, which in fairness to them I guess I forgot as well and only realized after I drove off, so I will own my part of that I guess.. I can't say that the food is terrible, even though it wasn't fresh. I just had really bad service.
