Pros: I absolutely loved this place. Very cute concept. Relaxed country chic decor. My chicken salad was great and the soup options change daily. You can get another scoop of chicken salad as your side (in lieu of the soup or various fruit and pasta salads options) or you can purchase some scoops from the already made case. That scoop was enough for me to make 2-3 more sandwiches at home. Cons: The staff. Clearly in the evening they are either local college or high students and they just talk about any and everything right at the register. The drink area was frequently sticky and more than once the fountain soda was out and they offered me a bottled water instead or to drink the iced tea or lemonade (I don't like either of the latter). The desserts items weren't very good but let's face it, no one is there for that. It can be a little pricey for a quick casual spot but it's tasty. read more

Today I had lunch at Chicken Salad Chick for the first time and had an amazing experience. Walking up, I noticed so many people having lunch on the patio and the inside was pretty full as well. There was no wait and the staff was so helpful, thank you Naadira, for helping me to order. I went with the Jalapeño Holly BLT and grape salad which was very sweet, both were delicious. I am excited to try the broccoli salad also. My order also came with a pickle slice and a mini frosted cookie, which I did not expect but enjoyed. What a wonderful touch. Wow! Chicken Salad Chick is beyond basic. I wasn't sure what to expect but many people told me to try it out. When you walk in there's a grab & go area with all of the different types of Chicken salad flavors coming in a small size that is around $6.99 and the larger size around $12-$13. This is nice if you are in a rush or already know what you want. Being gluten intolerant all of their chicken salad flavors are GF which is amazing. They offer soups and other sides as well. There are even a few V options. The only thing I really wish they'd add is GF Crackers or bread. They can make sandwiches and they give you lots of Crackers in your bag. This would be an awesome addition so I don't always have to go home and frab my gf bread or Crackers. The lemony Basil is my favorite flavor! Even my parents love this place. I rolled into PTC with salads on my minds for lunch. I was headed to one of my favorite spots when I saw the Chicken Salad Chick was open for business. So I walked in and was met by a line of people that stretched almost to the entrance of the store. I counted 14 people in front of me. While waiting to order, I peeped out the sandwiches, sides and chicken salad scoops that people dining in were eating. The sides were placed in these nice sized cup and the portion sizes looked pretty decent. When I finally ordered, I picked the combo which consisted of a scoop, a side of fruit, crackers and a butter cream covered cookie. I opted for an extra scoop of chicken salad for $2.00. I selected the Classy Scotty and the Kelli Cranberry. I had to wait 20 minutes to get uncooked food. I'm going to attribute the wait to this business being new and the lunch rush. But 20 minutes for 2 scoops of chicken salad? The classy Scotty was loaded with mayo. I felt like all I tasted was mayo. The Kelli Cranberry was not as mayo rich. To be honest, both were pretty bland. Felt more like hospital food. I was also a little sour about my fruit portion. What I received in the Togo container looked to be half of what the dine in customers received. But that may have been just the angle at which I viewed the other costumer's food. Food was okay. Definitely not a place I'll go out of my way to visit. I'll keep checking back to see if they switch up there offerings. I really love curry chicken salad. Hopefully they will have a version of curry that I can try one day. read more

I love the fancy Nancy it's my favorite!! I did not realize how many different kinds of chicken salad existed. For me it's either plain Jane or the one that has the grapes and the almonds in the apples in it which is called the fancy Nancy I like did they give you quite a bit for the price? I usually order through DoorDash but it's a very refreshing lunch we will possibly use them for our mother daughter banquet I'm looking forward to tasting their food again. They do a great job. I am a soup girly, and their soup was amazing. also, the entire inside is adorable. there is tons of seating and you can sit anywhere you would like after you order, they do give you like a ticket number and bring the food to you. I recently drove from Chesapeake to Hampton to meet a friend for lunch. She suggested we go to Chicken Salad Chick and I am so glad she did. We both had a scoop of the Cranberry Kelli and a bowl of fresh fruit. It was absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, tasty and just the right size. It even came with a pickle and cookie. The restaurant itself was spacious and I loved the decor. My husband has a doctor's appointment in Hampton next month and I told him we will definitely be stopping by this place for lunch. I can't wait until one opens on the Southside. Until then I guess I'll be visiting my friend quite often! read more

The one star is for service. I am visiting from California and what an negative impression ...scar on hospitality. But Uber Eats did not bring me the full order. I order three chicken salads 1 sandwich and two pieces of chocolate cake. The Uber driver only brought the sandwich and salad dressing. I called and Alyssa who prepared the order apologized said the order was there and I had to come to the store to pick up. She offered another sandwich as an apology. I came and picked up order. What a neat concept for a restaurant! I ordered the classic carol (presumably the flagship chicken salad) on a croissant with lettuce and tomato. The classic carol chicken salad was bland and nothing to write home about. Agreeable to be sure, but disappointingly flavorless. Nothing unique about it. Also, the pickle spear was mushy and soft? Almost like it was past it's prime. No crunch, no zest. HOWEVER, they DO have other chicken salads and they offer them in to-go containers. So, I got two other flavors that I was originally deciding between and they "gave what it was supposed to gave." Very delicious. The to-go orders are available in small or large and they write the "best by" date on the bottom of them. The Mac and Cheese was also not the greatest. Again, agreeable, but flavorless and nothing unique about it. Overall, a positive experience and a newer business with a solid concept. Will be back to try more things from the menu! read more

Went there on Friday with the family. Nice clean place. The chicken salad was ok. The bacon on the BLT sandwich was the microwave version they sell at Walmart. Not many apples or grapes in the chicken salad. They should probably cut the fruit into smaller pieces. The Mac and cheese was very basic and not creamy. The broccoli salad was bland and could use a quick fix. The pasta salad was decent but could still use a flavor punch. Pickle was good. Small sugar cookie was solid. We first found Chicken Salad Chick in Florida a few years ago. We loved them. This location did not let us down. This is a fast growing chain, but the employees act like they individually appreciate your business. The prices are incredibly reasonable. The food is awesome.
