Ordered ahead for lunch pickup on a Friday approx 12:45pm. Ordering online was perfect. I arrived 5 min after my scheduled time. Service: 1 customer waiting in the pickup line and 1 customer waiting at counter. 4-5 employees behind the counter a walking upfront. Not one employee asked for my name once I got to the counter. I had to ask if this was the correct counter for pick up. And then I had to walk over to the counter with the regular ordering and give my name to the employee and tell her I was there for a pick up order . The staff seemed like maybe they were new and just waiting for orders behind the counter and not helping any of customers at the counter. Drink station was not the cleanest. Service wise ... I have had better, the counter service wasnt the nicest and she didnt look like she wanted to be there. I had to call back up because they forgot one of my soups. I had to call 4x before someone answered. She also didnt initially put my cookie in the bag but I caught that before I left. I've heard great things about this place and was finally able to see for myself. Definitely exceeded my expectations! The staff were friendly and allowed me to sample. I decided on the Cranberry Kelli which was sweet and flavorful. The side of fruit and pickle were very fresh. But complimentary cookie was the "sweetest" surprise. I was really excited to try their chicken salad, because for the past couple of weeks I've heard great things. This was my first time going to one of their locations and this review is solely based on their a la carte small chicken salad. When I walked inside, there was less than 4 people. I walked up to the counter and started asking the women general questions, such as what is the best chicken salad to try or what is your most popular meal. Instead of being helpful, she seemed annoyed and said grab a chicken salad from the fridge. I asked her again what are they most famous for and she said "Classic Carol". So that's what I chose and purchased the item. This was my dinner and I was not happy, for only 125 g/ ~4.4 oz of chicken, that I was charged 6 dollars. That seemed way overpriced for the size of the product. Since I was already annoyed with the service and package price, I was hoping to enjoy a high quality chicken salad. It was just... ok. The seasoning was decent, but that's about it. There's was only a small amount of celery and it tasted a bit processed. This chicken salad doesn't exactly compare to the freshness you'd taste from a small local business. In Cincinnati, I've tasted much better chicken salads. It's not that it was bad, it just wasn't great. I plan on visiting again to see if I have a better experience by ordering something different. I will update my review after that visit. read more

I'm aware this is a chain, and they probably all look like that, but I've never had a bad bite or bad service at the Oakley location. I just had hand surgery so I ordered just the chicken salad because I thought I could make easy sandwiches one handed. I ordered through Uber Eats. First off the portions I ordered were suppose to feed 2-3 people, the very small portion would make 1 sandwich and not a very generous one at that (to be fair when I was writing this I weighed a pack, they are 8 oz each I was surprised, so $18 a pound). CSC website shows the price as $6.99 per pack, delivery price $8.99 per pack (I don't know who increased the price CSC or Uber eats and frankly don't care, that's what I paid. I ordered Fancy Nancy, Olivia's Old South, Classic Carol and Barbie-Q. Instead of the BBQ I got Dixie Chick which turned out to be the only one that had its own flavor. .like biting into a raw onion! It was the one flavor on the menu that I did not want to try. When my order arrived I took a taste of Classic Carol, it had no flavor at all, nothing...it was a flavor vacuum! Hoping it was just the one I tasted each one, with the exception of the onion bomb, they all tasted identical with no texture to any, no celery, nothing. The Fancy Nancy had apple, pecans and grapes. The apple had been in it so long it had no crunch and tasted like the salad, didn't have a pecan and the one grape had a little pop and sweetness left, the whole thing tasted spoiled. I will save the entire order for cat food, although they won't eat the onion bomb or the Fancy spoiled one. I am a retired Chef after 46 years so I have a fairly decent palate. Not only am I disappointed and will never order from here again I feel cheated! That was a lot of money for some cat food! read more

My experiences with this Oakley location have just not been stellar. Staff seems slow in action. Sticky surfaces and a slightly unpleasant smell at times. On my lunch break, I ordered a pick up meal to be ready at 5:00 PM so I could swoop in and pick up a tasty, easy dinner. When I arrived in the evening, I was told that my meal had already been picked up. Ummmmm... no one else could be picking up my meal. Staff gave me a free drink and was apologetic while they remade my order. What a disappointment because the whole reason for ordering on my lunch break was to avoid waiting. I love Chicken Salad Chick! I'm glad Cincy has one. I first had CSC in my hometown of Huntsville, AL. Ever since then I have loved this place. I love how chicken salad is so light yet filling. I don't feel super heavy after eating it. It is also so good. It's perfect when eating in the spring and summer. I love it year round but it's so refreshing in the warmer months. This location taste the same as the ones in Huntsville did, so I can say they are consistent in their product. That's a major plus! I always get the same thing which is a Classic Carol always on a croissant with pasta salad as my side. I ask them to hold the tomato and lettuce. Yep, I'm a basic betty! I like plain old chicken salad and bread. I also enjoy receiving that little iced cookie. Let me begin by saying the chicken salads are very good which I why I did not learn my lesson the first 5 times. Each time I have ordered from this location, to be delivered by Uber Eats, something has been missing or completely wrong. This time the amount of the order that was missing was @14--which is not a lot of money but 5 times come on--Uber Eats refuses to adjust since I can not send them a picture of what is missing(duh) and CSC was called. Spoke to Lauren and she stated she would look into this and get back with me that day or the next. Two days later I called them again for her to say Uber Eats says there is nothing they can do but yet she did not follow up as promised. Called today and spoke to Andrew and he says the same thing--He did offer to "take care of it next time I come in" Not sure I am interested in doing anymore business with such a poorly ran site. Nancy was good but the grapes were whole and I prefer mine sliced. The Dixie was probably my fave because I do an onion chicken salad at home. This was pretty good. The Scotty was their popular option and was good, but not my favorite. The scoops are large and 2 could easily be a full meal. The croissant was fresh and soft. I have been here twice now and both times I have enjoyed my experience. The staff is super friendly and was helpful with answering my questions. The food is tasty. Whoever took the time to nail the chicken salad recipes really nailed it honestly. And the whole experience was easy and I can't wait to try it again. I had the original and one of the spicy ones. This chain is simply the best. Everything that I've tried on the menu is superb beginning with the namesake chicken salad which comes in different variation...as a sandwich, or actual salad. You can also get it with grapes or pimento cheese. Wonderful side dishes are offered as well as soups (highly recommend the loaded potato). The only problem with this location is the super crowded parking situation. Located in a strip shopping building with a condado's and Starbucks there are cars everywhere. I remember a buffalo, one with grapes, the traditional, Olivia Old South with pickle and egg, also Fancy Nancy with pineapple and grapes. I had the old South and fancy Nancy. Both were ok. They were a little bland for my tastes buds. It seems that although they had different preparations the basic taste was the same. I think the chicken salads from Silver Glades, Fresh Market ahs Otto's are much tastier. I have a recipie where you roast your chicken breast with onion, celery and seasonings that ends up with a very delicious chicken from the start.
