Apparently this place is viral? Had no idea, but when my daughter came into town from Chicago it was her #1 priority to try food from Chicken Salad Chick. I have to say, it did not disappoint. The Grape Salad-just do it. Don't question your choices-just try it. She LOVED the Chicken Salad sammy she had. I don't like chicken so I ordered the Pimento Sandwich which was really good, but I was looking forward to their Egg Salad which has apparently been discontinued. I don't care what anyone says this is one of the best new chains that has opened in our city, I wish there was one closer to downtown. If that was the case I would be there weekly. I think I've tried almost every chicken salad they offer on the menu. Not one is a dud. Are some better than others? Of course but they are all delicious in their own way. I personally love the sassy Scottie, the buffalo Barclay, the Jalapeño Holly, the kickin' Kay Lynne. (And that's me narrowing it down) The sandwiches on the buttery flaky croissants are also so satisfying. The Maui Mama Melt is really good because it has a good balance of sweetness and savory flavor. The service? Well it's good old fashioned hospitality, you will get treated like you're at one of your family members homes. Good tip if you want more crackers just ask because they will hook you up! I love getting chicken salad to take home from here too so that I can munch on it all week for lunch. My daughter took me there for my first time and we got lucky, they were apparently celebrating some kind of anniversary...we received a free scoop of the classic chicken salad for free when we walked in. I was surprised by the number of varieties of chicken salad they offered. I ordered the croissant sandwich with 2 sides....little did I know I could get 2 more scoops as sides instead of chips or soup or fruit... My sandwich was with Olivia's Old South and my extra scoops were the Barbie-Q and Classic Carol.... They were all excellent!!! I had Chicken Salad Chick for the first time today and it was great! I got the Dixie Chick with broccoli salad. I ordered a side of the poblano chicken soup as well. This a review for the new Metcalf location that opened in July of 2025 (clearly some reviews for the other location). Anyway, was really excited about this restaurant since I LOVE chicken salad and have heard good things. First up, the space is very cute. Feels like a small southern cafe, which I'm sure is the point. There are menus at the front and also over the counter where you order. I met a former colleague there for lunch at 11:30 on a Wednesday and it wasn't too busy. We were second in line. While there, we perused the cooler with all the salads you could buy to take home. So many options! Once we got to the counter, it was all straightforward. We both ordered the Chicken with the fancy Nancy on a croissant. I got the pasta salad and she got the Mac n cheese. Once we ordered, we were given a table number and stopped to get drinks. We found a table and sat right away and sandwiches came out within 5 mins. We both LOVED our sandwiches. My table mate liked the Mac n cheese but I found the pasta salad way too dry. I really liked the pickle and the free little cookie. When we left, I stopped at the cooler to pick up their classic car and the fruity Frann so I could have some more salad later this week for lunches. Looking forward to trying more chicken salad! Finally, finally, FINALLY! I've been wanting to try Chicken Salad Chick ever since its popped up on my Tik Tok months ago and we finally have one in town! So of course, I had to try. The inside of store has table cloths on all the tables which made it feel like you're going to get someone's home and eating. While eating our food, we noticed a ton of JoCo "soccer moms" coming in which was good sign. The staff was extremely friendly with even the franchise owner coming busting tables and bringing food to customers. That shows me she's committed to making sure this location succeeds and the customers get top-notch service. The sandwich is pretty good and a lot of variety in regard to different styles of chicken salad you can choose from. You can get the chicken salad just as a scoop instead of a sandwich but if you choose a sandwich, you can also get additional toppings like lettuce and tomato and also get it on a croissant or regular bread. The sides were surprisingly amazing, the pasta salad was tossed in a savory vinaigrette with black olives, pieces of feta cheese and artichoke in it. The broccoli salad was topped with bacon and cheddar cheese, very tender, broccoli florets, and had an amazing taste to it. My family and I are basically obsessed with this place. We've dined in twice, taking other items home to eat later also, and gotten delivery once. I'm really picky about my chicken salad- I hate when it's gristly or grimy or I get a bone or something blubbery that feels uncooked, but I have tried 3 types of their chicken salad here & I have not experienced any of that for which I am very grateful! I love the simple concept of Chicken Salad Chick- they have 12 types of chicken salad and then a 13th kind that rotates. Right now the rotating one is called Maui Mama, with jalapeños and pineapple. It's excellent and the jalapeños definitely give it a spicy kick. I have also tried 2 other flavors. The Cranberry Kelli is probably the most kind of classic Midwestern chicken salad. It's a little too high on mayo and low on other ingredients for me however. We've also tried the pimento cheese. Pimento cheese is one of the greatest loves of my life and their's is excellent, although be aware that it's the consistency of a cheese ball- it's definitely not creamy. The egg salad is also delicious. It has pickles in it. Everything is really flavorful and well seasoned. They really think of everything here, even when we've gotten things to go and delivered- they include cutlery, napkins, and crackers, which I really appreciate. Every meal comes with a pickle spear and a small cookie. You can also order bigger cookies and they have a marshmallow crispy bar, which is really delicious. It's like a classic Rice Krispies treat with more chocolate and chocolate chips. They have Coke products which I am thrilled about since I am a Diet Coke addict, and they also have fresh brewed tea and freshly made lemonade. The place is busy, but it runs really well with a large helpful polite staff. Each meal comes with your choice of side and so far I've had the mac & cheese which was delicious of course because it's mac & cheese!, but it's nothing special. The grape salad is one of those seemingly strange Midwestern salads from the 1950s that somehow works- it has kind of a yogurt dressing with nuts and brown sugar on top. Their best side dish I think however is the broccoli salad. My daughter literally said that she wants to eat nothing but this broccoli salad exclusively for life! If anyone remembers the old Sweet Tomatoes buffet restaurant (RIP,) the broccoli salad at CSC is very similar to the 'Joan's broccoli madness' salad there- sweet, savory, crunchy amazingness! read more

The inside decore feels like a walking into a small town southern Cafe. They even have table cloths on the tables. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a quick grab and go cooler full of their chicken, egg, fruit, broccoli, grape, and pimento salads. We dined in and had their version of a combo meal. The portions are a nice size and the flavors are good, you even get a mini iced butter cookie. The pimento cheese was tasty, could be a bit creamer, but I know that is a matter of preference. They have good desserts. Their lemon cookie is a cookie for a cure and benefits cancer causes. Salad option can be served on bread or just in scoops or even on a regular leafy salad. Their soup options change daily and usually have 3 options to choose from. This is a great place for a light and filling lunch or supper. We will definitely be back! read more
