    Edamame dumplings
    Molly M.

Had a very nice experience coming here with some friends who had been several times. They ordered the charred cauliflower and edamame dumplings which surprised me how much I enjoyed them. My friends got burgers and I had the jambalaya pasta. I liked the flavor of the pasta enough but the sauce didn't remind me of jambalaya at all. There was a little kick but there were no tomato-y flavors in it or enough garlic or something. It did still feel healthy so I wouldn't mind eating again but I'd probably order something else. Our service was excellent as we ended the meal with the cookie and ice cream which was massive and a great ending.

Tried True Food yesterday for a solo date after looking at it for awhile and it was great for what I needed it. I was really hungry so it did not matter! I went on a weekend late night and realized it wasn't too busy. I ordered the lemonade and it did not taste anything like I was expecting it to taste. I had their guacamole apps and I enjoyed the chips the most! They were so good. I made sure to take them home with me. The entree was the star of the restaurant. I got the pasta and it was very delicious. I loved the flavor. My waiter was nice, she checked up on me through the night which I appreciate.

I crave the charred cauliflower app! It is. Must try. I wanted the lasagna but they had sold out for the day. I tried the hot matcha and it was a great ending to my meal.

This was my first time dining in and although the server was the best something seemed off about the visit. We were sat around a round table close by the patio door and as the door opened an closer the cool brief was a bit uncomfortable. So the server who greeted us noticed and asked us if we wanted to move and we agreed. However, the next round table had a piece of hair wrapped around the knife which I'm sure had to be whomever was in chair of setting the table. So, as you can probably guess that put a bit of hesitation into whether we were going to stay and dine. The entire time thinking and wondering what else would have a hair in it. Thankfully our food came and no additional hairs were present. I ordered the turkey burger but this time with the fries. The air-fried fries were a bit different as they seemed more like fry pieces. The broken fries that are normally at the bottom of the bag. I myself won't order them again and was happy that the turkey burger was still as delicious as i remember. I had to give this review 3 stars for to the hair found and the disappointment of the fries.

Location couldn't be better for a view and people watching. Service was outstanding with promptness and exploring the menu. We only ordered appetizers and they were delicious and filling. See pics. Hummus was lovely and the pita chips were light Edamame dumplings were light and albeit filling. Pizza was thin crust also yet filling for zesty squash with burrata cheese. Excellent wine selection and the server was knowledgeable and provided good recommendations.

It was our first time at this restaurant, and the staff was both helpful and friendly, which enhanced our experience. As someone who follows a low-sodium lifestyle, I appreciated having the nutritional information for the menu items available. My husband ordered the grass-fed burger for dinner. It was juicy, fresh, and bursting with flavor, and the bun was soft. He also had a side of sweet potatoes, which paired perfectly with the burger. He mentioned feeling satisfied but not overly full afterward. I chose the Chinese chicken salad, which came with generous slices of grilled chicken. I opted for the dressing on the side since I'm allergic to ginger. It was good but I probably would find something different next time since it was a little dry with no dressing. I love that. They also offer a variety of gluten-free options as we have someone in our family with celiac disease. we are looking forward to coming back and trying their menu as it changes with the season.

So the vegan place had no pizza crust that didn't have dehydrated mozzarella in it so couldn't have it , so asked for the turkey burger came back again couldn't do it because it has milk in it what happened to this place being a vegan heaven but no vegan so settled for a turkey burger with lettuce which I can get anywhere will not return !!! Not a vegan place

Food was great! Split the Chinese salad and Jambalaya. So good. Kanyon provided great service. Place has a fun vibe too.

I'm definitely in my crunchy era, so I was excited to try True Food Kitchen! The restaurant vibes were modern and clean. And it's nice that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. My husband and I did the dinner duo where you could choose an app, two entrees and a dessert. I might have had too high of expectations, everything was good, but not great. I definitely appreciate the real, whole ingredients and sourdough though! Service was good, nothing special. There was some confusion with our order and us getting double of things. Timing was a little off too, our sides came out when we were almost done with our entrees, but dessert came out before we were done with our entrees. Nothing major. I was super full by the end of the night, but not overly stuffed, like I still felt good, which is a true testament of their real, whole foods! I think I'll be back!

Chopped Salad to wrap up the evening!!

Great food !!! Great seating except for the patch on the seat and wobble in the table - but all good - they lost have a work order on it !! Awesome service from Jessica !!! Give her a raise boss !!

On the left the gross prunes I received on my pizza, which the manager insisted were craisins. On the right, actual craisins.

Update. We never got our money back, even tho they offered to refund it and we have followed up, This has happened two other times. One time we only got half of a pretty large order, another time they left off a pizza- not a big deal but we still should have been refunded, since it was like 25 bucks with the gluten free crust. Both times we have had to call repeatedly (last time we called SIX times before it was resolved). GUYS- don't offer a refund if you're not going to process it! We should have just contested with our credit card this time. We're going that route now and will not be returning.

I would like to know why prices arent on the online menu?

It is a franchise so prices are different based on location. Try selecting the Kansas City location.

Trying to figure out why someone mentioned this place is good for Keto? Looking at the menu, so far I've only found one item that doesn't have any non-keto ingredients. Maybe the chef will customize off-menu?

I'm Pescatarian and also do keto. I find their bowls to be really delicious-all veggies and you can add a protein-salmon, chicken, etc.

You can tell a lot of thought went into creating the space. What really sets this place apart is the wood-fired cooking. Everything is prepared over Missouri hickory and oak, and you can truly taste the difference. The food has this incredible smoky depth that makes every bite feel elevated and intentional. I also love that they source ingredients from local farmers, which really comes through in how fresh and vibrant everything tastes. The menu feels seasonal, thoughtful, and well-executed. The food itself is not only beautifully presented, but packed with flavor. Every dish I tried was cooked perfectly and left a lasting impression. They're open for lunch, and they also offer catering from casual office lunches to full events. I've heard amazing things about their charcuterie boards as well. Knocking my socks off with ease and leaving my cuticles filled with buttery remember-me's. I had to see her again. Had to! On the second time of asking, I wanted to see if she danced a different tune just as well. Putting on a Chicken Cobb for size proved ill-fitting, at least stood beside THAT sandwich. Nothing to make me crawl back with a humbling desperation. Inflation makes your lunch $10-15 already, so may as well make it twenty, order the right thing, and the Russell becomes worth frequenting. When we told her it was our first visit to the restaurant, she took the time to carefully go over the menus with us (regular, happy hour, and drinks), providing her recommendations when we asked. My chai was the BEST I have ever tasted (and I order chai every chance I get!), and my friend loved her 3 drinks (she said Tres Raices was her favorite). For our food, we split an order of the Not Queso Dip and the Avocado Tostadas. We were both very impressed by how fresh the ingredients were, and the blend of flavors in each dish that created a unique and yummy taste. The Kitchen has an open, airy layout that inspires deep breathing, while the arrangement and spacing of tables still provides for intimacy of conversation and minimal ambient noise. Okay Modern Market, I see you…read more I was on the hunt for a healthy-ish spot for lunch (I mean, hello it is January), when I came upon Modern Market Eatery on Yelp. Upon doing some research I learned it's a scratch kitchen specializing in clean eats, and that it's a chain. A win for the health options, a ding for the chain, but not all chains are bad, an we are living in a time where there are some winners. So, I packed myself up and headed down the road to Prairie Village. It's still fairly new, and it has that squeaky clean feeling to it when you arrive. Inside it's counter service and you seat yourself (they will bring the food to you). It kind of reminded me of how Noodles and Company felt when they first became a thing way back in the early 2000s. I ordered a thai salad that came in at under 400 calories so I was honestly skeptical at how big or flavorful it would really be when it arrived, and holy cow was it good. The chicken was cold, but still held some flavor, the dressing was great, there were fresh veggies, pickled onions. It was one of the best 400 calorie meals I've had in a long time. My dad ordered the salmon curry and he also enjoyed his though I didn't try it so jury's out on my opinion! I left full and happy to have discovered this spot. I'll be back soon!
