    Edamame dumplings
    Molly M.

Had a very nice experience coming here with some friends who had been several times. They ordered the charred cauliflower and edamame dumplings which surprised me how much I enjoyed them. My friends got burgers and I had the jambalaya pasta. I liked the flavor of the pasta enough but the sauce didn't remind me of jambalaya at all. There was a little kick but there were no tomato-y flavors in it or enough garlic or something. It did still feel healthy so I wouldn't mind eating again but I'd probably order something else. Our service was excellent as we ended the meal with the cookie and ice cream which was massive and a great ending.

Tried True Food yesterday for a solo date after looking at it for awhile and it was great for what I needed it. I was really hungry so it did not matter! I went on a weekend late night and realized it wasn't too busy. I ordered the lemonade and it did not taste anything like I was expecting it to taste. I had their guacamole apps and I enjoyed the chips the most! They were so good. I made sure to take them home with me. The entree was the star of the restaurant. I got the pasta and it was very delicious. I loved the flavor. My waiter was nice, she checked up on me through the night which I appreciate.

I crave the charred cauliflower app! It is. Must try. I wanted the lasagna but they had sold out for the day. I tried the hot matcha and it was a great ending to my meal.

This was my first time dining in and although the server was the best something seemed off about the visit. We were sat around a round table close by the patio door and as the door opened an closer the cool brief was a bit uncomfortable. So the server who greeted us noticed and asked us if we wanted to move and we agreed. However, the next round table had a piece of hair wrapped around the knife which I'm sure had to be whomever was in chair of setting the table. So, as you can probably guess that put a bit of hesitation into whether we were going to stay and dine. The entire time thinking and wondering what else would have a hair in it. Thankfully our food came and no additional hairs were present. I ordered the turkey burger but this time with the fries. The air-fried fries were a bit different as they seemed more like fry pieces. The broken fries that are normally at the bottom of the bag. I myself won't order them again and was happy that the turkey burger was still as delicious as i remember. I had to give this review 3 stars for to the hair found and the disappointment of the fries.

Location couldn't be better for a view and people watching. Service was outstanding with promptness and exploring the menu. We only ordered appetizers and they were delicious and filling. See pics. Hummus was lovely and the pita chips were light Edamame dumplings were light and albeit filling. Pizza was thin crust also yet filling for zesty squash with burrata cheese. Excellent wine selection and the server was knowledgeable and provided good recommendations.

It was our first time at this restaurant, and the staff was both helpful and friendly, which enhanced our experience. As someone who follows a low-sodium lifestyle, I appreciated having the nutritional information for the menu items available. My husband ordered the grass-fed burger for dinner. It was juicy, fresh, and bursting with flavor, and the bun was soft. He also had a side of sweet potatoes, which paired perfectly with the burger. He mentioned feeling satisfied but not overly full afterward. I chose the Chinese chicken salad, which came with generous slices of grilled chicken. I opted for the dressing on the side since I'm allergic to ginger. It was good but I probably would find something different next time since it was a little dry with no dressing. I love that. They also offer a variety of gluten-free options as we have someone in our family with celiac disease. we are looking forward to coming back and trying their menu as it changes with the season.

So the vegan place had no pizza crust that didn't have dehydrated mozzarella in it so couldn't have it , so asked for the turkey burger came back again couldn't do it because it has milk in it what happened to this place being a vegan heaven but no vegan so settled for a turkey burger with lettuce which I can get anywhere will not return !!! Not a vegan place

Food was great! Split the Chinese salad and Jambalaya. So good. Kanyon provided great service. Place has a fun vibe too.

I'm definitely in my crunchy era, so I was excited to try True Food Kitchen! The restaurant vibes were modern and clean. And it's nice that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. My husband and I did the dinner duo where you could choose an app, two entrees and a dessert. I might have had too high of expectations, everything was good, but not great. I definitely appreciate the real, whole ingredients and sourdough though! Service was good, nothing special. There was some confusion with our order and us getting double of things. Timing was a little off too, our sides came out when we were almost done with our entrees, but dessert came out before we were done with our entrees. Nothing major. I was super full by the end of the night, but not overly stuffed, like I still felt good, which is a true testament of their real, whole foods! I think I'll be back!

Chopped Salad to wrap up the evening!!

Great food !!! Great seating except for the patch on the seat and wobble in the table - but all good - they lost have a work order on it !! Awesome service from Jessica !!! Give her a raise boss !!

On the left the gross prunes I received on my pizza, which the manager insisted were craisins. On the right, actual craisins.

I would like to know why prices arent on the online menu?

It is a franchise so prices are different based on location. Try selecting the Kansas City location.

Trying to figure out why someone mentioned this place is good for Keto? Looking at the menu, so far I've only found one item that doesn't have any non-keto ingredients. Maybe the chef will customize off-menu?

I'm Pescatarian and also do keto. I find their bowls to be really delicious-all veggies and you can add a protein-salmon, chicken, etc.

The chairs are incredibly comfortable, exactly what you'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Great wine selection, and the cocktails were excellent. We started with the spinach artichoke dip -- a little on the creamy side, which is a good thing if you like it that way. Served with tortilla chips. I ordered the octopus appetizer as my main. It was perfectly cooked -- slightly crispy without being overdone, which is rare for octopus. The potatoes underneath were a touch underdone for my taste, but the sauce tied everything together nicely. The shrimp and grits were outstanding. The grits were cooked perfectly -- having spent a lot of time in the South, I know good grits when I taste them. The shrimp was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but the real star was the sauce. My friend said it was described as an avocado sauce, but it had a spicy kick that reminded me almost of Indian food. Service was outstanding. We started with the Mini Cheddar Biscuits to share, which come with four biscuits. They were excellent--fluffy on the inside with a slightly crispy exterior. The cheddar flavor hit first, followed by a touch of sweetness from the honey, and the combination worked really well. For my meal, I ordered the Fried Chicken, substituted the mashed potatoes for mac and cheese, and added a side of collard greens. The fried chicken was absolutely amazing, perfectly seasoned and fried. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and cheesy with a nice crunch from the breadcrumb topping. The collard greens were some of the best I've ever had. They had a great smoky flavor and were well-seasoned without being overly salty. The only downside to the experience was the service toward the end of our meal. We sat for around 15 minutes waiting for the bartender to come by so we could get drink refills and the check. We eventually had to wave them down, even though they were working right in front of us. Overall, the food was outstanding and easily made up for the minor service issue. It is accompanied by DELICIOUS crusty bread, salad that tastes like it is mixed with a SAVORY sweet onion vinaigrette, and prosciutto. For entrees, I ordered the regular friend chicken sandwich with a side of fries. As I am from the South, I am VERY picky about my fried chicken. As far as restaurant fried chicken goes, this is THE best fried chicken I've ever eaten! The skin was thick and crispy and the chicken breast was very juicy! Not greasy at all. The condiment is a spicy aioli, which was not too spicy (a good thing). It also comes with a pickled cucumber and onion salad that was addicting. The sandwich has one of my favorite types of lettuce: Bibb. The fries were PERFECTLY crispy and seasoned. My husband ordered the fried chicken, which comes with mashed potatoes and gravy and a salad. He loved his meal and said his fried chicken was also the best. The mashed potatoes, which of course I had to try, were so buttery and the prime example of why it is a comfort food. So we loaded up and showed up one day around Noon. Ambiance was really cool. It's in the middle of some sort of progressive looking shanty-esque suburb. The kind of place that does drag queen bingo. I was right at home. Inside was college sport bar, but with a nice, huge board on the wall of all their beer selection. It Was quite expansive. Service was top notch, too. Nice server took care of us, made sure our glasses were never empty. The food came out at a good clips, and we got an unexpected bonus of free little beignet-like donuts with some delicious dipping sauces. As for food, we started off with a jumbo order of the Truffle Parmesan Hand-Cut Fries for the table. We got to choose two from their extensive list of aioli dipping sauces. Fries were good. Dusted with the perfect amounts of truffle and parmesan. And the sauces were my oh my. I recommend paying the upcharge to just try them all. I mentioned the time earlier, because we had no idea we were stumbling upon their brunch menu. Even more options to choose from! I got the Crispy Waffle Smash Burger (smashed hertzog beef patties, fried egg, smoked bacon, merkt's cheddar, caramelized onion, maple aioli, crispy buttermilk waffle). This thing was really nice. Perfect waffle, not too small, not too big, and no oily or anything obtrusive. A nice bun option. Eggs and bacon sometime get lost against giant burger patties, but with these smash patties, the extra accoutrements really stand out and make this burger really stand out in my mind. I also for the try the Smokestack Burger (smoked burnt ends, smoked gouda, whiskey bbq glaze, pickle relish, chipotle aioli & crispy jalapeño straws). Uhhh, as you can read, this thing was loaded with goodness. Fatty burger, smokey burnt ends, sweet boozy glaze, acidic pickles, and texture from that jalapeno. This was the perfect burger. I insist you order this. Overall, my research did not reveal Beer Kitchen to me, locals recommendation did. Shows that you gotta use your street smarts instead of your book smarts sometimes. Best meal I had in Kansas City.

We have been here for Easter brunch two years in a row. Last year was fantastic, no notes. This…read moreyear was a bit of a letdown. The prime rib was dry, chewy, and a bit overcooked. That should be a centerpiece, and it was disappointing. There was one broccolini dish that the sign said was with lemon butter and cotija cheese, but appeared to be just steamed broccolini with absolutely no seasoning. I asked and was told they wanted to keep it vegan, but..... seriously, no salt? Pepper? Oil? Apparently not, just sad, plain broccolini. They did at least white out the accompaniments on the sign to correct themselves, so that's something I guess, but you really do expect something better from an establishment like this. The server was attentive to our drinks- the brunch was bottomless- but hard to find to get the check. The biggest weak spot both years has been the dessert table. There were perhaps five small desserts on a small cocktail table. Really not what you'd expect. The bacon was pretty good, however, you often find a lot of undercooked bacon on buffets. One conspicuously good thing is that, unlike so many other places on Easter, the tables were spaced well apart. Many places will pack the diners in like sardines, and this was not the case here- we had ample room to move about. Altogether, Grand Street needs to step it up for Easter Brunch. There just wasn't really anything special about it, and some elements were very much lacking. It didn't feel like a brunch you go to in celebration, which in my opinion an Easter brunch should. Nothing stood out, it was fairly plain [including decor] and it just needed MORE.

We came here for Sunday Brunch. First off, the only way I knew this place existed was from Yelp…read more Very nkce restaurant. Our waitstaff, Mark, was amazing!!!! I mean AMAZING! We ordered the buffet which includes an entrée from the menu and unlimited trips to the appetizer and dessert buffet for one price. For my entrée, I ordered the breakfast chimichanga. It was more wrap than anything. The filling was a lot of black beans. More than anything else was back beans. Hubs had the Prime Rib omelet and a waffle. He said that the slices are prime rib were very large which made the omelet seem more like a scramble with just prime rib. He really enjoyed the waffle. The teenager had pancakes which he said was good and the toddler had French Toast. The French Toast was very dough and she didn't like it and I don't blame her. It should have been cooked longer to rid that doughy texture. The buffet was nice though. The salads were good and the fruit was very fresh. One thing that happened, that the restaurant should take into consideration: hubs wanted the syrup. We had a small metal metal container that had cream in it for coffee and one that had warm syrup in it. I went to check which one was which and the syrup one was so hot and sticky, it got stuck on my finger. When I pulled my hand back, the whole container spilled all over me. Luckily, the syrup inside wasn't that hot, just the container it was in. There's no reason that container was that hot based on the lukewarm temperature of the syrup. Mark sprang into action, getting hot towels for me to clean myself up. Needless to say, I left very sticky. Overall, not a bad place. We will be back for brunch again, making sure to order different things. Mark was thw MVP though of that experience. I hope he's on task to become manager soon because he knew what he was doing.

We arrived for happy hour and had a drink while we looked at the menu. We asked to sit in front of a window and we did....but I don't think there are windows at sidewalk level. Everyone needs to know and go immediately! The price point is amazing and better than their lunch or dinner prices. Everything tasted delicious, and they offer a five dollar breakfast sangria or mimosa- perfection!! I ordered the steak and eggs that comes with Shrimp Oscar, and I had the chili crisp hollandaise served on the side and subbed fruit for the potatoes- it was FANTASTIC. The hollandaise made a delightful dipping sauce. My friend had the eggs any way entree and loved it too. Their breakfast potatoes are delicious and not your standard breakfast potatoes-- more of a smashed, fried, with garlic kind of concept. We also celebrated her birthday which they brought out two free truffles for!

It was the perfect night to sit by the windows and watch the clouds roll in as a thunderstorm approached. The service was excellent. Our server, Jenna, was friendly, attentive, and quick throughout the entire meal, making the experience even better. The food was delicious. We ordered the lobster roll, Braised & Blue pizza, meatballs, oysters with caviar, and the chicken and shrimp yakitori. We also had a couple cocktails- Spicy Paloma and Pineapple Express made with reposado. Everything was flavorful and well prepared, but the lobster roll was definitely my favorite of the night. Between the stunning rooftop views, great atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food, Prime Social made for a perfect evening in Kansas City. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend it for a date night, special occasion, or simply enjoying the city skyline with friends.
