I feel like you can never go wrong with a CAVA. I absolutely love how you can customize your meal and the variety of fresh options that they provide. This CAVA was an absolute hit. Online ordering was simple and the drive-thru to pick up was a breeze.

I LOVE CAVA! The food is DELICIOUS! I have been to this location a few times and their ambiance is so friendly! It's easy to stay and chat with my friends for an hour or so until I'm ready to leave. One note is that depending on the time you go they get a little stingy with the protein serving amounts. Sometimes it's worth it when they serve a lot. I definitely think the veggies should be free instead of getting charged double for them. I totally recommend their delicious food nevertheless!

I ordered a kids meal and asked for steak not knowing it was charged extra the worker did not say anything about it and then gave me an extremely small portion of steak.

Chicken & rice bowl (customized) and my Spicy Chicken pita

So, I've been driving past this place and at first, I wasnt sure I'd like it. But I ordered online and gave it a try. The food prices are scary. 15 dollars for a pita? Well, its fine when its freakin' 5 pounds, lol. The brownies are tasty, but not for $2.65. IT'S LITERALLY 2"X2". My wife got a Chicken & Rice bowl. GEEZ, its HUGE...My only issue is that it was missing the side of pita that was supposed to come with it. So, I ordered thru the app and drove through to pick it up. I'm used to checking in at a sign then pulling through, but I guess Cava doesnt do this, which is fine. I pulled through and a gentleman answered the window pretty quickly and asked the name on the order and came back with everything (well, ALMOST everything). I asked if the brownies were there and he was like, is it?...so I looked in and saw them...figured everything else would be there. We were missing the pita, but it's not worth calling about or driving back for. So, will I come back? Sure, I really liked my spicy chicken pita, but I would remove the pickles. They are good, but not my style on my order...But I will come back. $38 for a spicy chicken pita, chicken & rice bowl and 2 brownies. the saving grace is the sheer weight of everything. Ill definitely be back...I just hope that the service is better than I've read about in other reviews.

Here's the list: Sunrise, Jolly green, Power BLT, Baked Oatmeal, Croissant French Toast, Salsa Verde Pork &Eggs, Homemade Blueberry Tart and Carrot Cake Pancakes. Something tells me you just can't wait to hear.. the Fresh squeezed Sunrise & Jolly Green juice were so fresh and refreshing my goodness they were like little liquid vitamins drinks. The green went down so smooth with a hint of sweetness. The sunrise was just right for first thing in the morning carrot juice mixture I don't think we get enough of carrot juice but I felt so alive after drinking enough too go in on that Savory Satisfying Salsa Verde and it with the over easy egg on top to bring it home. When delivered it was still hot, the pork was so moist and seasoned darn well the salsa brought the entire thing together with that warm egg yolk I almost hurt myself it is a must try. Then comes the Large Power BLT with added grilled chicken. Listen to me you have to add the grilled chicken it takes it to a whole'nother level with the hickory smoky bacon cooked perfectly the kale and the brussel sprouts bean sprouts grape tomatoes it's just loaded goodness and the dressing being oil based seasons the green because they are raw so keep that in mind. You can literally feed 2-3 people with this salad. It's gonna be a summer staple for me no doubt!!!! Now comes the Baked Oatmeal - I've never had baked oatmeal but I believe they may have changed my mind with the berries I can't explain the warm goodness I think it was cinnamon but the oatmeal is so incredibly inviting so moist and chewy almost like an oatmeal cookie added berries for sweetness I added cream too it and let all my cares extinguish themselves. The Croissant French Toast- is RICH absolutely Rich, buttery toasted 3 pieces of goodness with a great helping of syrup. I say have some eggs and bacon some kind of fat or acidic beverage to cut through the richness, it put me to sleep when I finished it. We have the Homemade Blueberry Tart- ok let's talk.. flaky, buttery, when you break off a piece you layers of dough like someone loves their job. The filling on the inside compared to dough was perfect and very blueberry light sweetness, it's a cross between pop tart and toaster strudel but better. The icing kinda rubbed off in the bag but it was just enough and sprinkles to enjoy. I really liked that!! Yep, I saved the best for last those super moist Carrot Cake Pancakes, where have they been all my life huh where have they been? Just a simple sweet carrot cake with syrup you might as well say, like sponges just absorb the syrup to put you in a food coma and gone add a pad of butter as if, well as if it needed to be rich too flavor explosion just all over the place. I've never had that flavor pancake before but I will again. I wish I knew about this place before now, but it is one great find for any day or any occasion. Every item purchased was made, prepared and packaged with care. HomeGrown clearly loves their job because great things are coming out of that kitchen. I was very impressed my favorites are the Power BLT added grilled chicken and those Carrot Cake Pancakes. I've found another way to get my veggies . If you have not tried this place you got to and apparently they have some several locations. Picture time! I also posted my order and price shall you wanna take a walk on the tasty side of life. Enjoy! It's definitely a Yelp 5*****star. The serving sizes were nice. The price for what I got was perfect for me. The flavors paired well in each item. The excellent care in packing made me really happy. HomeGrown is well worth the investment.

When we told her it was our first visit to the restaurant, she took the time to carefully go over the menus with us (regular, happy hour, and drinks), providing her recommendations when we asked. Her guidance was spot-on-target! For drinks, I had a Mindful Chai and my friend had the 3-Beverage Flight (Golden Hour, Heart Says Thanks, and Tres Raices). My chai was the BEST I have ever tasted (and I order chai every chance I get!), and my friend loved her 3 drinks (she said Tres Raices was her favorite). For our food, we split an order of the Not Queso Dip and the Avocado Tostadas. We were both very impressed by how fresh the ingredients were, and the blend of flavors in each dish that created a unique and yummy taste. The Kitchen has an open, airy layout that inspires deep breathing, while the arrangement and spacing of tables still provides for intimacy of conversation and minimal ambient noise. Sofhia checked back with us several times during our meal to ensure we had everything we needed and were thoroughly enjoying our food and drink (we were!). It was a delightful meal, and we thank Sofhia, the kitchen staff, and everyone at Whole Harvest Kitchen for such a lovely time. We'll be back!!

We didn't sample, but next time I'd like to try a flight of their wellness drinks! The LETTUCE CRUNCH WRAPS (soy-glazed jicama & tofu, lentil, pickled veg, walnut, cilantro, sesame dip) were an absolute favorite. Highly recommended! The texture was very well balanced. Silky smooth butter lettuce and a delicious sauce on the side, although it truly didn't even need it. The AVOCADO TOSTADAS (blue corn tostada, guacamole, quinoa, white bean, radish, pickled red onion, super seed) were yummy, but our least favorite of the three. Instead of a thin layer of mashed avocados, I'd honestly just put a few nice slices of avocado for the bulk of it. Taste was lovely! It is a totally cold dish, fyi. The HARVEST WOK BOWL (split pea-fu, beluga lentil, farro, snap pea, greens, brown rice, daikon, cashew, ginger-scallion sauce) was completely phenomenal. I could do without the split pea-fu, but it probably added some great nutrition! The FLAVOR and texture of this dish was so so good. I can't even right now. (As my teenager would say...) Enjoy!!

Everything flows. It's organized chaos done right. The seasonal drinks are consistently creative and actually good. Not just pretty for Instagram. Balanced, thoughtful, and well executed. And the bakery? Dangerous. The display case is pure temptation. Cinnamon rolls, pecan twists, danishes, cookies, scones. Everything looks like the right choice, which makes choosing impossible. They also have solid brunch plates and sandwiches if you're trying to pretend you're here for something other than sugar and caffeine. Now for the one miss. I ordered the pepper jack breakfast burrito, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to the rest of the experience. Flat flavors, mushy texture, no real identity. The hot sauce was doing most of the work. It felt out of place in a spot that clearly cares about quality. Thankfully, the bakery and coffee saved the day. The pecan twist was flaky, buttery, and just sweet enough. The seasonal latte with cold foam was smooth, balanced, and dialed in. Overall, McLain's is a Kansas City staple for a reason. Efficient, welcoming, and consistently good at what they do. One menu tweak away from being near-perfect. Solid 4-star spot. Would happily come back.

The Atmosphere - So this place is fantastic. If you are looking to watch a game there is a TV on…read morefor you. Yet if you are not excited about any of what is on... it is not in your face and you can easily sit comfortably and have a conversation with your table. I hope to eat on their patio someday soon and will review again for that occasion. The bar is central to this place (who knew that a place called 30Hop would have that.) Also this place has 32 taps which is more than the original 30. But, I think the name will remain the same. 4 stars The Staff - I have rarely been greeted as well or as friendly as when I showed up here. Not only was the hostess nice and sweet, asking where we wanted to set and then guiding us to an area that had staff waiting on it but, also stood to chat briefly till our waitress got there to get us started with waters. Our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. She was friendly and able to read the table which I am sure takes quite a bit of talent. It was an impromptu date night so we were only waited on when one of us looked up and around. The Manager was also around to say hi and chat with us a bit before continuing on to other tables and see how they were doing. 5 Stars The Food - I picked up a chicken sandwich with fries. It was exactly what I was looking for on this day. My date, however, picked up a salmon salad that was amazing! Not only was the salmon cooked perfectly with a sear on all sides to give it that crispiness that is so desired but this was plated like a Michelin star was in the kitchen! Everything tasted so good. And I cannot wait to get back and have more things off the menu. My date even assured me that she will be right there with me! :D Overall - This is a fantastic addition to the Merriam area there and a good revitalization of the location. My only comment is that parking is limited. In our discussions of this I have come to some conclusions. I believe that ideas/architectural concepts are often adopted in for use in the KC Metro from successes in other cities around the globe. As much as this seems like a great idea, it seems like few of these builders take into account that this is a city of car travel. We have very low public transportation or infrastructure to support alternative modes of travel. Our city is on a sprawl and though our traffic is low you are traveling a greater distance to get to other city centers in the metro. I think the biggest reflection of this is that parking is often and afterthought and that there is rarely the right amount with any of the new constructions around town. This of course has NO refection in stars for 30 Hop. Just an observation. 5 stars!

Okay Modern Market, I see you…read more I was on the hunt for a healthy-ish spot for lunch (I mean, hello it is January), when I came upon Modern Market Eatery on Yelp. Upon doing some research I learned it's a scratch kitchen specializing in clean eats, and that it's a chain. A win for the health options, a ding for the chain, but not all chains are bad, an we are living in a time where there are some winners. So, I packed myself up and headed down the road to Prairie Village. It's still fairly new, and it has that squeaky clean feeling to it when you arrive. Inside it's counter service and you seat yourself (they will bring the food to you). It kind of reminded me of how Noodles and Company felt when they first became a thing way back in the early 2000s. I ordered a thai salad that came in at under 400 calories so I was honestly skeptical at how big or flavorful it would really be when it arrived, and holy cow was it good. The chicken was cold, but still held some flavor, the dressing was great, there were fresh veggies, pickled onions. It was one of the best 400 calorie meals I've had in a long time. My dad ordered the salmon curry and he also enjoyed his though I didn't try it so jury's out on my opinion! I left full and happy to have discovered this spot. I'll be back soon!
