Unfortunately, they were closed due a family emergency and I had to choose between a sushi place and this chicken place. I went with the chicken place because I thought, why the heck not? Walking in the area is clean and well maintained. The staff did seem to be extra stressed out, I assume possibly from being due to low staff. I placed my order for a 2 piece chicken meal with a side, a drink and a roll. Total was $14 and some change. The guy who took my order was good and he informed me that they no longer have any lunch specials. I was like ok that's fine, no worries. The cup I got was very small for my drinks and I kept having to refill it, which got annoying after the third time. The food here was good and filling, but for some reason there's an upcharge for onion rings. I went with the coleslaw since I knew I was going to get a ton of food, which I did. The food here is actually pretty good and you get a lot considering I only spent $14. I also like how organized and clean it was as well. I'm actually shocked to see the reviews of this location because my personal experiences have been absolutely phenomenal. I typically order online or on the new app for my girlfriend and I. Everytime I've gotten food from this location is it absolutely delicious. Their chicken and potatoes are always fresh, and tastes heavenly. When I go inside to pick up they always have my order correct and completed on time if not a bit earlier then the estimated time it says when I order. The employees are also extremely friendly, polite and attentive when you walk in. They reconfirm your order as they hand it over as well which is always appreciated. You can't place a catering order online or find the catering menu online, so I walked in about 2 weeks ago to place an order for our work Christmas party. The guy working the counter was very helpful & worked with me to order what we would need. We are a small shop of about 10 employees so it was larger than a normal takeout order but not a massive catering order. We ended up doing a 24pc bucket of chicken, the catering pan of ribs (3 slabs), a tray of coleslaw, a tray of potatoes, 2 bottles of sauce, & the rolls. I walked in on a Monday & needed it for pick up the following day at 11am. They told me they could have it ready for then & they did. Everything we ordered was there & the food was nice & hot! My sister ordered some ribs and potatoes for the Super Bowl party. Make sure you call ahead, especially when it is during one of the busiest events. They told her the wait time. She asked for extra butter, to which they delivered. Her mother in law picked it up on the way home from work. She said that the place was insane with angry customers. Customers that went in last minute and weren't too happy about the wait time. There was people fighting over who got the food first. When she got her food, people weren't too happy. They didn't realize that we ordered way ahead, and that is why our food is ready. It is always smart to order first. I can see why they were upset because they didn't want to miss the game or party, or upset their waiting guests. I won't take away for that reason because she got the food on time. The time they told us it would be ready. I am not much of a meat eater. My boyfriend said the ribs were delicious. He had a rack and a half. We tried hard to order fish and chips from a few local restaurants we thought might need some business. One was closed and the other kept hanging up on me. Weird. So we decided to go to our old faithful. Chicken Shack. Everyone knows that the chicken is delicious. And they are known for their spectacular broasted potatoes. But have you ever tried their fish? Most people haven't. It's so good! We prefer the English style cod. They also have cod patties and fried cat fish. They were super busy so we weren't the only ones who thought of them during this Corona Virus lockdown. They had splash guards up to protect the workers. Only three people allowed in at a time. And everyone respected the 6 foot rule. I can't wait until I don't have to write reviews about carry out. Lol. But for now, support your local places. I visited this store on June 6, 2017. I ordered 6 pieces of chicken. For the cost of these pieces I could have gotten an 8 piece meal from Popeyes Chicken. On top of an inflated price the chicken was overcooked. The legs and thighs were almost crispy to the bone and the breasts were not juicy at all.
