Delicious chicken in a casual setting. For two people, the whole chicken with 4 sides is plenty of food! The sides were not as special as the chicken (yucca fries, sweet plantains, corn salad, and rice with beans). The plantains were the best of what we ordered but not a stand out. Seating is all stools lining the restaurant, which is fine but makes it hard to share with more than one other person since the narrow counters only just fit the trays of food. Bathroom was clean. Despite some of the more positive reviews, I would be remissed if I didn't express my experience with C & W was simply awful. I severely deride their chicken and fixings. Only two hours after eating a half a chicken with black beans and coleslaw, I developed stomach pains. In less than an hour, I had excessive mitchuration, defication, and regurgitation of the aformentioned items. My experience was excruciating. The flavor was all there. I got the 1/4 chicken and 2 sides. I got the Yuca fries and arepitas. Both sides were nice and crispy and not too greasy. The Yuca fries were perfectly fluffy on the inside. Before tasting the food I thought it was just overpriced Peruvian chicken. The portions are small but good enough for me (I happen to be of small appetite) you do have the option of getting 1/4 or 1/2 chicken, I think there might be a bigger option than that. The deserts were also amazing I tried both with my sister and if you like pumpkin anything you have to try the ice cream with pumpkin dough balls( I don't know the menu name). I definitely recommend the arepitas -they are fried goodness. The fried yuca had a nice seasoning that was a bit salty and spicy. So I just ordered this a few minutes ago on UberEats. I was really ecstatic to order this but it did not live up to the hype. The beans have a weird overly vinegar taste to them. I literally only ate one spoonful. The sauces were excellent. The chicken "skin" was really good but the meat lacked the traditional Peruvian flavor. I also ordered the nacho wraps which I'm guessing is the restaurant's version on cheese sticks. They were really good but would've been better if there was a dipping sauce included with them. Overall, the chicken skin and wraps are the reason for the 3 stars and that was a push to give. I probably will not go out of my way to visit this place in person. There are waaaaaaaay better Peruvian spots in DC but I'm guessing if you want to see what the hype is about you can give it a try like I did. I've lived in the neighborhood for quite a while and only had my first Chicken + Whiskey experience. A friend recently suggested it for a lazy Sunday lunch. As a vegetarian, I had always been a bit skeptical of the place since the only veg options are some sides and one sandwich. However, my expectations were completely blown out of the water. The Inti Wrap was AMAZING and super satisfying. The ingredients were well balanced and tasted fresh. Plantains on a sandwich, absolute genius. The wrap was large enough to get two meals out of it, especially if you get a side. We also tried a few cocktails from their walk up bar and every single one was delicious. I do hope they expand their vegetarian menu, as some of their other wraps sound like they would be delicious even without chicken, but I will definitely return for this sandwich over and over and over and will bring my omnivore friends as well! read more

Super cute fast casual place! I ordered the Pollo Frito sandwich and WOW, the jalapeno cheddar bun was AMAZING. All of the flavors just melt in your mouth. I will definitely get this sandwich again. I also order the Yuca fries, speechless. The dipping sauces they give you are delicious as well. My roommates and I then split the Picarones y chancaca for dessert. They are pumpkin doughnut balls serves with vanilla ice cream. Extremely rich and hit our sweet tooth! We then went to the Whiskey part of the restaurant, which feels like a speakeasy, and it was a completely different atmosphere than the restaurant. The music was different, lights were turned down a little--I loved it! I ordered one of their signature drinks, L.S.O.P #14 and it was delicious, a perfect end to a great dinner!
