I stopped by this fried chicken food truck and it did not disappoint! Who doesn't love a food truck in front of a brewery. The chicken was perfectly crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can tell everything is made fresh. What really stood out though was the amazing customer service from owner Peter pollo himself, super friendly, welcoming, and they made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to whenever I'm craving some great fried chicken! You must eat the chicken topped fries like a pie. Eat it from the top down, not just the top layer. Oh and their corn bread, ugh, delicious

I live right around the corner and one day I saw a red food truck pop up on the corner. I had to see what they were selling. Pete, the owner is super friendly, and even offered us some corn bread, which was awesome! The corn bread reminded me slightly of pound cake with all the corn bread goodness. May 30th is the last day Pete will have his red food truck. Next time I visit it'll be a shiny yellow truck! I have ordered the chicken wings, loaded pork belly fries, and the chicken sliders. All of which were tasty. The chicken wings were juicy and the mango habanero sauce has a nice kick. I do wish they retained their crispiness a little longer. I had one in the parking lot which was yummy! But by the time I got home they weren't crispy anymore. The pork belly fries are a must try! Pete recommended this one and it is good. The chicken sliders are great too. The slaw that goes on is what makes the sliders special. The truck is located in a parking lot in front of a car stereo store. He's here in the evenings and there are lots of spaces to park. Plus there is also a taco stand across the street. Great little place to get some late night munchies.

Fucken amazing corn bread!!!! Must have get you some!!!

Amazing corn bread! Love the passion! Great service in the OC! A must after a delicious beer at Pfeifferrs'

The cornbread is soooo moist and melts in your mouth. Just when I'd given up on finding cornbread here in SoCal just the way I like with no kernels. Thanks for insisting I try the cornbread at the Wittman Trunk-or-Treat! I'll be chasing you down for more. =0p

Always a pleasure coming to Chef Pete's ChickenBully :) Porkbelly fries were tender, while fries soaked up all the juices. The bacon mac is always a favorite. Loved every bite, Chef Pete!!

This meal was an absolute feast. Before we even ordered, our…read moreserver brought out waters and a bowl of cabbage salad for the table. It's a small gesture, but it immediately made us feel welcomed. We decided to go with one of the combo meals, which came with boneless crispy fried chicken, cheese tteokbokki, and fried potstickers. We also added an order of corn cheese because... how could we not? The chicken lived up to the hype. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated in a sauce that had me licking my fingers without shame. The cheese tteokbokki was exactly what I was hoping for. Chewy rice cakes swimming in a rich, spicy, cheesy sauce that kept me coming back for another bite. The corn cheese deserves its own paragraph because wow... I understand why Korean restaurants serve this. Sweet corn covered in gooey melted cheese is one of those dishes that sounds simple but somehow disappears before you realize it. The fried potstickers rounded everything out nicely and added another crispy bite to the meal. And because apparently we hadn't eaten enough, we finished with Dippin' Dots for dessert. It was such a fun way to end the meal and brought back a little childhood nostalgia. Overall, the portions were generous, the food came out hot, and the whole spread looked as good as it tasted. This is definitely a place I'll be coming back to whenever the Korean fried chicken craving hits.

My friend had to go ask again before they came and started to clear out a table for my group. I get that my group was slightly larger because there were 7 of us but saying that 2 hours before closing was slightly ridiculous. Ambiance was clean and standard for a Korean fried chicken restaurant. Now onto the food... chicken was good but not the best Korean fried chicken I've had. The fish cake soup was $25 for only three sticks of fish cake which is MUCH too overpriced for what it was. The taste was solid but also basic and felt like something I could make at home... not special. The chicken gizzard had a good texture and flavor which was nice. The tteokbokki wasn't chewy enough so we weren't that big of a fan. The fries were freshly fried and good but it's hard to mess up freshly fried fries. Overall food was solid but not the best.

Especially Korean wings!…read moreTheir wings are pretty big compared to your average flats that you'd usually get at your typical TGI Friday's. So you're getting bang for your buck here. My bf and I got 12 wings of the original and 12 wings of the soy. We couldn't finish the whole thing, but brought home the other half, threw them in the airfryer the next day and they were still crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I don't know how they do it, but the breading is absolutely perfect! It's not greasy either so this wing has the perfect harmony of crunch and barely any grease. The only downside of this place is that they don't have any wipes, but they do have restrooms. Lol The clam soup was a nice pairing with the wings to wash down the crumbs, as well as the cabbage salad. The cabbage salad had a thousand island mild kind of dressing that was really nice. We ate the whole thing quickly! I've been here a few times and will continue to come back. They have fun kpop music playing on a big tv screen in the back and I love the button on the table to call over a waiter when needed! Clean and fun ambience! When we got there at 5 pm, almost all the tables were already full. We were able to get the small table where you sit down on some cushions to eat. They have this unique seating area in the back by the bathroom near the kitchen. Check it out. We ordered the honey soy chicken plate with rice. They fry chicken thighs for that one and gave a decent amount of chicken. The sides were ok. Probably not my preference. We also got the 8 piece seaweed fried chicken and the honey soy chicken. The chicken here are big and moist. Very juicy and very good. The seaweed one is very unique and I really like that one. A lot of umami flavor. However, what made it a 4 star place for me was that the server never really checked up on us at all. Didn't come by to ask how things were or anything. Also, the price is quite high for what it is. $20 for 8 pieces of wings isn't cheap. The two items with tax and tip was over $40 and I think we all still left not quite full. Anyways, it was good trying it out, but might not be something I go to often.

This chain is the ONLYYYY place I'll get tteokbokki from. I don't know what magic they use in their…read moresauce base but it's perfectly spicy and savory with just the slightest bit of sugar. The other places are half sugar/half gochujang and it gets so cloyingly sweet and thick I hate it. But I never have that problem here and it's soo soooooo good!! Here you choose your choice of rice cake + spice level and then add whatever toppings you'd like. It already comes preset with a good level of rice cakes, fish cakes, veggies and a boiled egg. I added sausage (+$3.50 for 6 pieces) and jjolmyun noodles (+$3.50). After adding those my total came to $22 for the tteokbokki (base price $15). The sausage I'd get again but the noodles were ehhh. They got soggy kind of quickly so I'll just get regular ramen next time. For type of rice cake just trust me and get the garaetteok!! It's made with rice flour and is the BEEEEST TEXTURE! Plus the name in Korean translates to "grandmas garae tteokbokki" so you have to order what they're known for! It comes in 3 long strips and they have scissors on the side for you to cut it up yourself. The texture is so perfectly soft and chewy. I cannot explain. It is simply the best like frozen regular rice/wheat ones cannot compete. For spice level, level 2 (out of 3) was perfect where it's slightly spicy but it builds the more you eat it and ends at a good medium-high. By the end I was like oooooh it's kicking in. But any less would be too mild and I feel like level 3 it'd be too spicy for me to finish it all and have a good time. Rice balls ($6)-- Comes in a big bowl with a pair of gloves and you mix and make your own rice balls. It's good! Good change of pace from the tteokbokki and helps with spice. It's not the mayo kind, just sesame oil and soy sauce or something but it's still good!! Gimmari ($4.50)-- Kind of tempura, glass noodle wrapped in seaweed. It's good but.... there's only 4 little pieces ????? It's so expensive. Like baby pieces. In comparison that whole rice ball bowl was only $6 so I just can't justify this pricing. Overall the flavor is AMAZINGGGG and price really isn't that bad if you order tteokbokki + rice balls. The fried stuff is expensive. I went on a Saturday the place was full of Korean families so it's like yk.. good sign that the place is good and authentic. They also sell fried chicken but I didn't order any. Parking is easy since there's a huge shared lot.
