There was no wait when we entered Pelicana for lunch on a Saturday, and you can order directly from the tablet on the table. Service was friendly with water refills offered. Water and cabbage salad are brought to the table upon entering. The cabbage was good though the sauce very mayonnaise heavy for me. We ordered a half order of crispy chicken in garlic sauce, a pasta dish, kimchi udon, and sweet potato fries to share. While I liked that the garlic sauce was super garlicky, it was a bit too sweet for me. The pasta sauce was also on the sweeter side. It also took a while for the food to come out, but that is usually the case for Korean fried chicken as it takes time to double fry the chicken. The chicken was indeed super crispy and delicious. Sweet potato fries were yummy and the kimchi udon spicy but tasty. The interior was large, spacious, and bright. Prices were fair and portions good. Haven't been here is many years yet I felt underwhelmed? No line and many tables open but our server told us to sign up via waitlist (we were also the only ones on the waitlist). Waitlist app did not notify us when our table was ready, had to go in 10 minutes later after the app said we had already been seated. We ordered on the screen connected to our table and waited for what felt like a while for our food (maybe longer than two people should for an empty restaurant who ordered 1 order of 9 wings to share.) Pelicana Chicken is just as good as I remember it being in South Korea. Juicy and crunchiness perfect for smothering in their big variety of sauces - exactly how Korean fried chicken should be. Their combo sets are also great for sharing. We ordered the couples combo and added some extra items for our kids. It ended up being the perfect amount of food for everyone with leftovers for home. Will absolutely be back. I will say though that while we loved their signature sauce, their soy sauce was just salt-overload. We hardly touched it, and even our kids couldn't stand how salty it was. We tried the rose tteokbokki this time, and it was a total hit. The truffle fries were okay this round, the truffle flavor was on the lighter side but once we dipped them into the rose tteokbokki sauce, it was pure heaven. Pair it all with an ice-cold beer, and you've got the perfect way to kick off the weekend. We were seated outside, and our server checked on us regularly. Please note that this is a super old review back from when I came here during the Honkai: Star Rail fan kick off event and it was not...well handled. I'm going to be fairly objective and give them a lot of leeway because I understand they'd never done a collaboration like this before and probably never dealt with a crowd this large. My friends and I arrived around 10am, and there was already like 100 people in front of us. And surprisingly the line was already moving, slowly but it was moving which I appreciated. Seemed they opened up earlier to prep as they knew more people would be coming as the collab event started one day before. Unfortunately, when I made my order they didn't allow me to choose any sauce toppings for my chicken. Probably because they were slammed with orders...But it still sucked not getting to even have the choice? Like I would've appreciated even the option to have some on the side so they don't have to wait man power mixing the chicken and sauce, but nope. Just no sauce. And I paid for the combo collaboration meal set which was $50+, so not cheap. I actually think the chicken wings were really delicious even without the sauce, lightly spicy and flavorful and juicy with a crunchy outside. The chicken drumsticks were kind of atrocious though. It was tough and mostly breading, an experience shared between all the meals my friends that attended the event with me had. We also all agreed the fries were just...bad. They were so sad and tasteless and while not floppy weren't crispy either. I've seen the fries in photos and other locations which look really, really good. Most of our friend group didn't like the mochi cheese balls either. They were just overly sweet and chewy, not crispy at all. I don't know if that's what they're supposed to be like, but...my husband and I just ended up not eating these. Overall, this was really expensive for what we got. Wasn't worth it for over half the food to be subpar. Alex was extremely helpful and patient, especially when assisting us with ordering through the table kiosk. He was attentive, checked in on us regularly, and made sure everything was going well. Things changed when Joanne brought us the check while we were still eating and drinking. I asked if there was a time limit, and she told us it was two hours. I then asked if we had been there that long, and she said we were "almost" at two hours and walked away. After waiting a few minutes for her to return so we could pay, I went to the register instead. I also asked them to confirm how long we had actually been there. We were told we had only been there for about 1.5 hours, and that we were welcome to finish up -- so it wasn't the two hours we had been told. After we had already paid and were packing up our food, Joanne came back to "apologize." She began with an apology but then stated that the policy was actually 90 minutes, not two hours. I explained that we had no issue complying -- we just hadn't been informed correctly. Unfortunately, the conversation felt less like an apology and more like we were being blamed for breaking a policy that had been communicated inaccurately. She continued to interrupt and talk over us, which made the situation more uncomfortable. Overall, the food and Alex's service were excellent. Bonchon is overly salty! I am usually not a fan of boneless wing because normally they are dry chicken nuggets. What a surprise to have such great boneless chicken. The sweet raw onions with mayonnaise sauce keeps thing interesting and also the traditional Korean one which fornme was spicy. I finished off the whole thing with a pitcher of the mango microbrew. I think the best pairing is a light beer like Cass or Terra or Hite with Korean food. The microbrew had like 4% alcohol. It is always best to get a little drunk while your eating chicken and I didn't even feel drunk, but just felt like peeing after destroying the pitcher on my own. I think Shock Top would have done the job better. Overall, I think I will definitely eat here again when I want chicken. read more

I got on the wait-list via the iPad at 12:35pm and got the text to come back after confirming I'm still at the source 19 minutes later. You have 5 minutes to confirm once you receive the second text from them otherwise you forfeit your spot on the wait-list but I was able to confirm and not get kicked off once I replied in 7 minutes of receiving the text. By 12:54pm they were sold out of steamed rice. You put in your order via iPad at the table. If you need the server you can click Call Staff on the iPad. It took 2-3 tries before the staff got to our table. Wish there were more frequent water refills. Also felt like they were understaffed. There's a mini trash bin on the table for your trash and chicken bones. Highly recommend the cheese ddeokbokki and soy chicken wings. I will not make the mistake of getting signature next time. It's not bad but it just didn't hit like the soy chicken wings. I also wish they had refilled our complimentary cabbage salad. We tried the original chicken and half soy honey honey and garlic wings. The table has a side of cabbage and the chicken comes with radish. (At Furai Chicken, I felt they used double-fried pieces--making it faster to serve but often times over fried. BBQ Chicken pieces are usually tiny.) It is semi-self-service. You ordered at your desk using the little table kiosk; if you need help you "place" a service button. If you dine in, you have the shredded cabbage when you sat down. They also brought us water right once we were seated. Ambiance wise, it was comfortable enough to dine in. Tables are sufficiently spaced out and not overly close to each other.
