So we were recommended this place since we had a beyond long layover at this airport. I had said that I was craving a good Philly cheesesteak sandwich and they said this was the best one there. The service when you arrive they were very nice. Let you sit wherever you want and was very attentive. The waitress was great. She knew what to recommend and to even try it the way she has it and I couldn't have agreed more. I got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with mushrooms and onions and some kind of special cheese and it was delicious. Definitely large so big enough to share with someone. Then I got the combo fries which were sweet potato fries and regular and they had the crab seasoning on it, which was delicious. I would honestly keep coming back here whether I'm in town and I go to the restaurant or at the airport. The place is not big but they do have a full bar as well and plenty of charging outlets so it's really nice in there and good music as well. Stopped into Chickie's and Pete's to grab dry rub wings with a side of buffalo and ranch dressing. The dry rub was a great flavor but I am a sauce gal so I needed a little something else. It was like 10am when we stopped by, and the only other customers were a table of octogenarian women eating nachos and drinking soda. Good on ya, ladies! We were invited to come sit at the bar by some of THE NICEST STAFF WE'VE EVER INTERACTED WITH AT ANY AIRPORT EATERY. They joked with us, they laughed with us, they encouraged us when we were debating about ordering alcohol because "time doesn't matter airside", they checked in on us endlessly (but thoughtfully so; it didn't feel forced, it felt like they were genuinely interested in making sure we were all set!), they never made us feel rushed or like we were wasting time... which, like the octagenerians, we for sure were. A Yuengling, a Diet Pepsi with a single shot of Jack Daniels (... *as if* they don't carry Coke products), and an order of crab fries, after tax and tip, was like $40. For us, that's cheaper than the same thing (but with way less fries) anywhere at home! The amount of fries was sooOoOoOOooooOOo generous. Quick work trip with the only option to dine at the hotel and airport. Not preferred. Had to try this local icon and their location at the airport. Bartender, Dave, was awesome and his personality is exactly what you expect, Philly. Service was quick with good banter. Lots of TV's with sports on. Asked for a recommendation and Dave suggested the cheesesteak. I'm not an experienced or cheesesteak snob so I thought it was good. Big sandwich, good flavor. Portion of "crab fries" was huge. I'm a Philly girl, so there is no way I come back to visit without getting my cheesesteak fix. You may think that getting one from the airport isn't a great idea, but I disagree, it's helped me with my fix on a number of occasions. In Philly a cheesesteak should be over the top. Even making consideration for being in the airport it was bad. A cheesesteak has thin sliced ribeye, mushrooms, onions, peppers and your choice of mozzarella or cheese whiz served on a grilled bun. This was steak with a few onions and queso sauce on a cold bun. This was not what I wanted, I would have sent it back but I never saw my server again until I asked for him. If you want fries they only have 1 size, huge. They charge you 9 dollars for it. There are a lot of options in this airport. Try something else. read more

Ordered the tenders today, no complaints. Only ding would be that the don't offer more than just honey mustard and BBQ sauce. I wish there were a couple more sause options. I'm not giving them a 4 because of a prior visit. I ordered the chicken wings. One thing I miss since I moved out of NJ is Chickie's and Pete's and it just so happened that I was taking a flight out of Philadelphia airport and there was a Chickie's right next to my gate! THE UNIVERSE WAS LOOKING OUT! And while it was breakfast time, they actually had a full menu which included all their signatures plus a fire breakfast menu! I wound up ordering their breakfast sandwich that had Pork Roll, Scrambled Egg and their signature magically delicious Cheese Sauce on a cheesesteak roll! I stopped here while at the Philadelphia airport. You seat yourself and my server came up quickly to greet me and show me the QR code menu. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and fries (non-crab seasoning). The food came out quickly and service was good throughout the visit, but I haven't had food without flavor like this in a very, very long time. It simply was not good and I regret stopping here considering the other options in the area. The chicken in the sandwich was tiny, very thin, and the sandwich only came with greens on it. The fries had zero seasoning, but thankfully came with cheese for dipping. To pay, you close out using the QR code. I had some time to kill while at PHL, so I decided to visit a couple of spots to have a couple of beers. The space was fairly narrow with a long bar that spanned the length of the space. Fairly nice for an airport bar! I ordered the "Famous Crab Fries", which appeared to just be crinkle cut fries with Old Bay seasoning on them. They seemed to be prepared well, fairly crispy and not overly seasoned/salty. While the items were pricey, it was a generous serving. They have about 12-15 beers on tap, though it is a fairly uninspired list, mainly IPA's and commodity American Lagers (Bud, Miller, Coors...). I had the Yards Philadelphia Pale Ale which was quite nice. The bartender was pretty busy, but still provided timely service and was friendly. Overall, a nice spot for a beer and a bite if you find yourself in Concourse C at PHL. read more

They've completely remodeled since I was here last and it seems to have been done very well. I ordered the South Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich and fries. The sandwich looked great, but was only ok. The roasted red peppers tasted like they were steamed in a microwave, not even close to being roasted. The bread tasted good, but was tough to bite through and chew. The side of fries came out first and we're great, especially with the cheese sauce, but they came out before my sandwich so I was already pretty full when the sandwich arrived.
