This was my first time trying this restaurant, and unfortunately it will be my last. The chicken drumsticks I received tasted old and not fresh, which was very disappointing. Quality like this is concerning, especially for a first impression. I wouldn't recommend ordering based on my experience.

Popped into this place impromptu to see what it was all about. It's super cute inside with plenty of comfortable seating. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Ordering can be done thru a self serve kiosk. I wish I was more hungry but will be back. For this first time I tried the hand breaded dirty wings. The crispness and texture were perfection and the chicken was moist. It was a tad greasy but favorable. Not too spicy but absolutely benefited from the blue cheese sauce on the side. I also tried the chicken empanada. It was nice size with a good amount of tasty filling. Their drink menu is extensive (didn't try anything this time). I'll definitely go back as I want to try their popular fried chick and some other things. Give this local small business a shot!

Scrumptious, absolutely The are conveniently located in Southlake, just near 114. The are so very welcoming and hospitable. The place has charm and ambience abounding. They truly care to make a comfortable space to commune over a lovely meal that satisfies every time. Family and friend oriented, they even have a game section if one would like to sit for a spell and play a friendly game together. The have beer, cocktails, boba and milk teas as well as a variety of pan-Asian cuisine. Kind of like FF however NOT a CHAIN restaurant; no-no, they are a small business that needs support. We were greeted upon entry and the restaurant itself wasn't busy. There's a self-service kiosk, but there was also an employee to assist with any questions we had. The pork belly bowl was not a set price. Each item chosen had a cost associated with it. I thought the fried egg would have a runny yolk, but it was more of a firm consistency. The pork was pretty tasty, but a very small portion. Overall, not worth it for the price paid. The chicken burger wasn't the best. Great ambiance though! The first thing I noticed was the place was totally empty. Not even a worker in sight. So I used the ordering machine. Which ended asking for a tip despite me doing my own order. I did like the drink I ordered. Especially the option to choose the amount of sweetness. I ordered six Korean chicken drumsticks which were a total let down. Requested extra crispy. What I got was burnt. To the point that the ends were black and broke off while holding them. The coating was hard and inedible and had to be removed. One drumstick was so small and burned, even that couldn't save it. For the out of the way location, it was surprisingly disappointing. read more

Saw a "new" named place in Southlake but it is actually renamed from Boba Chick a month or so. Staff recommended the chick wings, i order 6 piece garlic parm wings and wife order the popcorn chicken bowl with egg. Wings were very good, large portions dripping in sauce which I liked. I was almost finished before my wife's order came out. The reason for the quite long wait, the popcorn chicken was way over cooked. Basically the popcorn chicken was probably cooked as long or longer than the huge wings. While the wings were very crispy and crunchy even with the large amount of sauce, the popcorn chicken was tuff and no flavor. read more

Ordered the 5 chicken tender combo, 1 of the tenders was tiny, so it was really 4 tenders. The screen we ordered from said it came with ranch, but when the food came out there was no dipping sauce, apparently it was "extra". Wish I just went somewhere else. read more

I ordered the appetizer of steak bites and seriously I had to chew about 25 times for about 75% of the pieces, I had asked for the medium rare and they were more toward medium well. I almost sent them back (but then I never know if they are going to spit in them or something, I think I have sent back 2 things in my entire life, so I wasn't really keen on that idea) I will say the horseradish sauce they came with was excellent, especially on the 25% of pieces I could actually chew easily

We started with the Caesar salad, which was generously dressed. I didn't mind, though, and still enjoyed it. For our mains, we had the Panzotti di Ricotta e Spinaci and the Tagliatelle Bolognese di Mamma. The ravioli came with four giant-sized pieces that had a flavorful filling without being too heavy. The tomato and basil sauce paired well with it. The Tagliatelle Bolognese di Mamma was also enjoyable. The restaurant can get loud, especially when someone orders the tableside pasta cheese wheel. They stop the entire restaurant and play music, which can be a bit disruptive if you're trying to enjoy your dinner. I would come back for happy hour.

That's the best I can say about our entire experience. Cluttered and small spaces do not work well together. My suggestion to continue with the show of the cheese wheel but not the loud and obnoxious music. I don't mind a small restaurant when it's tidy and you can move around easily to get to the restroom or out the door without almost being whacked by a 4' pepper grinder.

We've driven past Craftway Kitchen more than a few times, always intrigued with a 'we have to try that place sometime'. Saturday night was sometime. Taking our chances as a party of three walk in's, the restaurant was full inside, and there were a few tables open on the patio. I generally don't like to eat on patios, because flies show up, etc. Not at Craftway... not sure what they were doing, but there wasn't a fly or other flying bug around. The patio wasn't just clean, it was meticulous. Welcoming too - It felt very much like an extension of the restaurant. Alex, our waiter was quick to bring water and menus. Returning to take drink orders, a margarita was ordered as was a glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Drinks were quickly served. Water was never allowed to become empty. Alex asked if we had ever been to Craftway, we informed him this was our first visit. His ask "any allergies?" to which we said no. He disappeared, returning with an appetizer sampling plate with three items - the Reuben egg rolls, crab stuffed mushrooms, and blue cheese chips. All were fantastic! Three entrees ordered, the Chicken & Fig sandwich, Chicken Milanese and the Cajun pasta with Chicken. Food arrived; each entree was fantastic. Cooked to perfection, flavors were amazing. Dessert, shared, was a bread pudding with ice cream, a perfect finish. Alex never let beverages become empty, delivered superb service. The Chef circulated the room checking on satisfaction and chatting with patrons. Giving Craftway Kitchen a very well deserved 5-star rating. The staff did everything right! Departing, we talked about what we will order next time. We will be back to Craftway Kitchen!

Most of the starers are mouthwatering, even the unexpected Ruben Eggrolls are a delight. Less daring items like the coconut shrimp are equally good. Without a doubt my go to entree is the Beef Wellington. I remember La Madeleine had an affordable one on their menu in the late nineties, this is reminiscent. I do usually swap out the mashed potatoes for the chopped wedge as side, just seems like the classical steakhouse side for the task. The only thing I would say that is lacking is the wine list, despite being very fairly priced. Their most bespoke bottle of red is the Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon (2021), which while amazing for the $99.99 they charged, it was fairly flat, lacking the traditional vanilla perfume you'd expect from a pricey California Cabernet Sauvignon. Also took a bottle of GH Mumm Grand Cordon, which also did not taste as anticipated. I think the most plausible explanation might be heat damage, as both wines are usually well regarded but came up short.

They also had a pretty sizable prime New York strip for under $70 which is pretty impressive. Most restaurants would've charged 85 or more for that steak. It was cooked perfectly. Char medium rare.
