Thank you, Tabla and Kendall, for this wonderful event! I'm not familiar with this part of Grapevine, but it was an easy drive. It sits just off the street and isn't hard to find. When I walked in, there was an ample amount of seating for those waiting to be seated. The host/hostess desk is just around the corner in the bar area. The only issue I had with that was, when you first walk in, you aren't greeted. You have to walk into the bar area to get assistance. Patrons walking in and not being greeted due to the lack of visibility, may dampen the visit for first-time visitors. You only get one first impression; make it count in the best possible way. To-go order: Chili Garlic Shrimp (Mild) Entree - I really wanted to like this, but it was definitely not enjoyed. I ended up throwing it away. I'll do my best to explain. It was described as a gravy, but I had no idea what it was. Oddly enough, you could taste (sort of) the spices, but it was really bland and had too much liquid. The shrimp weren't seasoned either, but were cooked perfectly. After you finished your bite, it had an unpleasant aftertaste. I was done after one shrimp. I didn't taste the garlic, and I assume that would have been the main ingredient other than the shrimp. Appetizer: Chili Garlic Fish - This was the biggest disappointment; like the above, it was also not edible. I didn't get the point of this dish; I felt it was a waste to have on the menu. The menu said it was fish, but it had the texture of meat. It was really dry (as seen in the photo); it lacked seasoning and was completely bland. Garlic Naan: This was okay, but I don't think they use fresh garlic. The host explained the naan would have been perfect to dip in the entree, but nope, it wasn't. Takeaway: The gentleman who assisted me was great; he was well-versed when I asked about the menu and was able to answer all that was asked. Reading some of the other reviews, I feel it would be best for them to create a menu that focuses on their strengths and to eliminate the "fusion" part of the menu. I'm surprised; we had an Elite Event at their old location, and the food was great. I have no idea what changed, but I hope things improve for them. There are several Indian restaurants in the metroplex who exceed at what they serve; I don't want Tabla to get lost in the mix. Are they worth the visit? Of course, but be mindful of what you get.

Stay Awayyyy!!!!! If you want to put poison in your body, this is the place to do it. I ordered the Chicken 65, and it tasted a 2/10 while being completely overloaded with food coloring. Attached is a picture of my hand after I washed it with soap following the meal--it literally looks like I washed my hands in red paint. The chicken was drenched in red dye. Trust me, you can feel it in your stomach afterward by how bloated and upset it makes you feel. As for the butter chicken, you can definitely tell the gravy came from a frozen package, and you can actually taste the plastic. I would definitely suggest staying away from this place.

Im clearly going against the grain here but I had an excellent experience at Tabla. I came with two hours to chill out before picking up my mother at the airport while pretty darn exhausted and honestly not expecting too much from the other reviews. Everyone was so fun and chatty with me, my server was excellent and introduced me to the joy of spicy butter chicken, which was all around excellent, and I got to truly relax with a mango lassi while listening to the happy conversations of several big families meeting up for Saturday late dinner. I didn't have anything off the drink menu but the prices were very reasonable compared to the admittedly more elevated food prices. Some prices seemed rather high for me but I ultimately ate my butter chicken over four meals with some rice at home so it was a good enough deal. I would absolutely come again. My only suggestion is to pull the host stand even just an inch further into the walkway to make it clearly visible from the door!

Great service and ambiance! Owner and staff are very friendly and excellent at explaining the menu to help you find something you will enjoy! There is definitely pride in the food they serve. The special was very well worth the price and the taste was very authentic. Enjoyed talking with staff and learning more about the restaurant.

Ordered Butter chicken and chicken 65. Chicken 65 is dry. Butter chicken is more gravy like. Pretty big restaurant near great would lodge area. They're a chain and have tons of restaurants across the country so it's nice to see a new location open in grapevine! Service was quick and easy!

    Papad arrives before the chutney!

Curry is a bit heavy but pairs well with their Naan. Honestly, the best thing here is their naan. Update: the chicken biriyani is pretty good! Drinks (2/5): Shocked by the quality based on their regular price. The Velvet Karma was okay (tasted like watery Bailey's with cinnamon). The Karma Sutra was mostly cough syrup, almost no liquor tasted in either. Both $15 each. Service (2/5): The waitresses are all hardworking but they seem super short-staffed. The whole place was packed but they're too busy to be out in the front. It took forever for food and drinks to come out also, despite it hasn't been packed yet. Took 15 min for the cocktail to be out and was watery... Ambiance (3/5): The live music at 7pm didn't start until 7:20. We came earlier and waited for it to start. Super disappointed and wanted to like this place. We can't see ourselves back unless these changes. It just seems stingey as a business to lack liquor in cocktails this price. The staff and manager were all nice, it's just not well run unfortunately.

It's not easy to get a five-star from me. I'm jaded…read more The food here is authentic. Every bite was delicious. We had vegetarian dishes, malai kofta and mutter paneer, and they were genuinely surprisingly fabulous. They were cooked freshly, not from a pre-made pot. There are ways you can tell if it's really fresh. There are a lot of selections, and they're about 10%+ higher than the small university town we live in, and worth every darn dime. I'm seldom completely delighted, and the food here was great. The restaurant wasn't crowded on Wednesday-- and they should be. The cook is priceless. Give him/her/they a raise! I wish this wasn't my first time, or I'd recommend it without hesitation-- it was really, really good, and I'm a harsh critic. This was for dinner, and we have no experience with the buffet.

They give a daily soup during lunch, today was a vegetable corn soup. It was delicious, with good flavors without being too spicy. In fact the soup was so good that I decided to order their samosa as appetizer. The samosa's were also excellent, so many good flavors. It was served with a chutney sauce and another type of sauce. As the main entree I wanted to try something different than the typical Indian dishes that are the most common in the USA I ordered a vegetarian dish called Navratan Koorma. It's a mix of different vegetables in a creamy cashew sauce with rice and Naan bread. It was good and flavorful. The naan was bread was amazing, I've been to a few other restaurants in the area that have really unflavorful bread so this was nice. I was pretty full at the moment but felt like trying one dessert to have tried something from all parts of their menu and ordered Gulab Jamoon. An old classic, it was very good as well. It was slightly warm and freshly made and was a perfect end to the meal. The service was excellent throughout, the server gave me updates when one of the dishes were close to being ready. I thought the presentation was also very nice. I will definitely keep this restaurance in place next time I'm in the area.
