A good option for a low key dinner in the Southlake area, although as a huge fan of Thai food it is far from the best I've had. The service at Thailicious was great. Drunken noodle is one of my favorite Thai dishes. I ordered medium and the heat was just right but overall the dish was good but I'd probably order something else next time. My 3 year old had the fried rice with beef - it was delicious. Better than my drunken noodles. We also ordered the green curry to go. Terrible food. We have Thai food at least one a week and this was among the worst, this was our second time to give the place another chance. Dirty utensils. And very rude staff. When we tried to ask for our order fixed after they brought us the wrong thing and insisted that we placed the wrong order and that it's our fault and refused to replace it unless we pay for a full new order. Not sure if the waitress didn't understand us but she brought both orders wrong and refused to fix one of them. You should not go here unless you enjoy rude staff, stale food and dirty utensils. Searched for a local Thai restaurant while in town for a conference, and Thailicious came up with a bunch of positive reviews on Yelp and Google maps. If you love a curry- they have 10 different varieties!! I love appetizers and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of options from crispy spring rolls to chicken satay. We loved their old location in Town Square and delighted to see that their new location continues to thrive in the community. We love their lunch specials - For the price, it cannot be beat and their lunch menu is sure to have a dish every pallet enjoys. We've tried most of their dishes on the lunch menu but my favorite is the Mixed Veggie Stir-Fry with Tofu. The sauce is delicious (adding their tableside Sweet & Sour is a game changer), the veggies are always fresh, tofu cooked to perfection, perfectly cooked rice and yummy egg roll!! I also very much love the salad that comes with the entrees as well. The peanut salad dressing is fabulous! The interior is beautiful and the restaurant is always immaculately clean. The service is also what makes Thailicious wonderful, every server we've had always has a smile and is very welcoming. They hustle here to take care of their customers and it shows! Drink refills never make it past the half way point and they are always checking on you to make sure things are going well, this attention doesn't go unnoticed and is very appreciated. Such terrible food. I don't know if when they changed locations from Carroll street to the new location if the ownership changed but we used to live this place. When they moved we went thinking everything will still be tasty and it is just a new location, but no, food was mediocre and one of our girls got sick. We thought maybe she had a virus or Something but our kids rarely get sick. The next time we tried it same thing, this time I got sick. We just couldn't believe it was the food from Thailicious b/c we used to love it and ate and never felt bad, but since being at this new location we've gone at least five times And the food is not good and someone gets sick. We have stopped going there and will not be going back. There are so many other great options for Thai food in the area. I decided to try Thailicious for lunch today. Unfortunately, it was not worth the experience. I love Pad Thai, so I ordered that with chicken. They asked how spicy, and the options I was told was mild, medium, or hot. I love good spice, but knowing the Thai spice can sometimes be over the top I went for medium. When my dish arrived, I was very disappointed with how dry the chicken was and there was literally no flavor or spice to it. I barely ever send dishes back, but when the waiter came up and asked how it was, I told him that the chicken was to dry to even eat. He said they would remake it. Upon remaking it, the chicken was less dry, but still lacked flavor completely. There was no spice or flavor to the dish at all. I took a few bites, asked for a box, and planned to give to my dog as it was not worth even eating. Overall, the food was 0 stars if possible, but the server was trying really hard, so that gives them an extra star or two. There are plenty of other places to try in the area, I would not recommend this place based on my experience. read more
