Ok, ok..great packaging to start. I'm excited

A Saturday night in from the pool, nothing sounded better than some Chinese food. Via UberEats, the delivery packaging was supreme and gave me high hopes. Everything was just kinda blah..I went with the Orange chicken, doubled the chicken($5 extra), substituted llo mein($2), side of fried rice and 2 chicken egg rolls. Orange chicken lacked orange flavor, nice portion size but I did pay extra for it. I had to douse the rice and lo mein in soy sauce to give them flavor. I didn't taste any chicken innthe egg rolls. Side note, if you want Sweet N Sour sauce with your egg rolls, it's an additional $1.50..I've never heard of that before. Thank goodness, I had soy sauce, sweet n sour and orange sauce at home to make this somewhat good. A 4 is generous but maybe my taste buds were off this night.

Finally had the chance to try this spot. The interior was clean and welcoming. One highlight was the takeout bag they offered; it was really sturdy and felt like a reusable bag. Much better than a paper or plastic bag. They had a sesame and sweet & sour chicken combo that was nice. Not often do I get to try both. The dish itself was on par with other places. The fried dumplings were pretty good, I enjoyed the crunchy crust. Overall it's a decent spot that would satisfy a craving for easy Chinese food.

A bit out of the way. By Duff's Wing's. But very tasty Chinese food! Nothing fancy but very clean with an $8.99 Lunch Special as well!

Spotlessly clean Chinese foods at a walk-up counter, made by friendly Mexican folks, for take-out or dine in. Table service is not available but the dining area is spacious but a bit echoey. Parking is adequate, food quality is excellent as is quantity at a good price. To follow this up, this place is worth driving to for the food. It's hard for me to believe but this could actually be from scratch. If it's not, I'm fooled!

This is the seating area. Customers order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table

We were in Southlake Texas and decided to look for a place to eat. We found The Wok on Google and decided to give it a try. It was 5:25 pm and there were no customers eating inside. We ordered Beef and Broccoli and the Honey Seasame Chicken. The food came to our table within 10min.s and it was fresh and hot. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. I think next time we will order one entry and a side plate. I would definitely recommend The Wok for a great meal. At the end of dinner I realized that a most of their business was pick up and delivery.

Finally, I found some great Chinese food in the Grapevine/Southlake area. There are a lot of decent and fair Chinese restaurants but few that are really good or better. The Wok has broken that streak for me. I ordered Sesame Chicken, which comes with dark meat chicken, but I substituted that for white meat. That leads me to my only complaint about the place, I had to pay $3.99 to do that on a lunch special that was originally priced at $8.99. The taste and the portion size of my dish I had no complaints about. My service was good, absolutely no complaint there, and my food was freshly prepared and to my table in less than five minutes. I can't wait to come back and try some additional dishes!

Lo mein. Decent but nothing but noodles

Everything we tried was so good! Suggest the sesame chicken, the orange chicken and the crab puffs! Would definitely recommend!

They also gave us fans because we were so sweaty. I had a match lychee lemonade. We also shared shrimp summer rolls and chicken egg rolls. Between the four of us we ordered the roti canai -- with an extra piece of roti, since the base only comes with two, roti murtabak, two orders of the pork belly baos, chili crisp cucumbers, nasi lemak, beef haw fun, and bò tái chanh -- Vietnamese rare beef salad. Overall, the food was outstanding. I feel like the restaurant took all the greatest hits from every Asian culture and put them together on the menu. My favorite dish of the night was a toss up between the rare beef salad, the roti, and the pork belly baos. I loved how crispy and flaky the roti was and the curry dipping sauce that it was paired with was super aromatic, nutty, and rich. The pork belly in the baos was incredibly tender, well-marinated, and had a nice balance between lean and fatty parts. If you enjoy sour dishes, you will love the rare beef salad: there is enough lime in the dish to make you pucker. Every bite is a concentrated punch of flavors, and there is a nice variety of texture between the chopped peanuts, thinly sliced onions, rare beef, and crispy rice cracker. If you're in this part of town looking for a dinner spot, I would not hesitate to recommend Hawkers Asian Street Food. In addition to the solid food menu, the service and drinks were equally spectacular.

I was expecting the usual Thai-style wings stuffed with glass noodles and seasoned ground meat, so I was a little surprised when they came out as jumbo fried chicken wings glazed with lemongrass chili and topped with sesame seeds. I guess I should've read the description first before ordering. They were good, a bit on the sweet side, but just not my favorite. We also ordered the Thai pork tacos, which my husband really enjoyed, and the Lemongrass Beef, which was flavorful and nicely seasoned. The couple who were with us had been here fore and they ordered the same thing again: Panang. Urey Bowl and the Basil Vegetable Fried rice. They must've liked it, they ordered it again. The ambiance was pleasant, and I especially liked that they have a quieter area in the back of the restaurant. Service was prompt and attentive. Looking around at the other tables, the dishes all looked delicious and flavorful, so we'll probably be back to try some of the other offerings. Overall, a good first visit!

Our waitress came to our table about seven minutes later she seemed a little nervous and even spilled water on the floor while she was pouring us a glass of water. The start definitely threw off the entire vibe. What that said, the food really saved the experience. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The drinks were strong and well-made. We ordered drinks and various appetizers off of the happy hour menu such as Lychee Like That (I enjoyed this drink and wish I would've ordered a 2nd), spicy tuna roll, sushi tacos, miso soup, hot honey potstickers, and the chicken gyoza. Everything was tasty but we really enjoyed the gyoza and potstickers! For mains, we ordered various nigiri (salmon, tuna, yellowtail, eel) and Wagyu handrolls. The nigiri was ok and seemed as if it could've been fresher and we didn't too much care for the hand roll and wish it had an element of crunch instead or just meat and rice filling. Overall, this seems like a party spot to go with friends, etc. as it's nicely decorated and the service was great. However, I doubt I'll return!
