The choice to only order soup and dumplings may have been the reason I only rated this restaurant two stars. Service was good don't know about the ambiance but the location was good for where I was running errands that day. I may try it again based on other Yelp reviews. read more

A Saturday night in from the pool, nothing sounded better than some Chinese food. Via UberEats, the delivery packaging was supreme and gave me high hopes. Everything was just kinda blah..I went with the Orange chicken, doubled the chicken($5 extra), substituted llo mein($2), side of fried rice and 2 chicken egg rolls. Orange chicken lacked orange flavor, nice portion size but I did pay extra for it. I had to douse the rice and lo mein in soy sauce to give them flavor. I didn't taste any chicken innthe egg rolls. Side note, if you want Sweet N Sour sauce with your egg rolls, it's an additional $1.50..I've never heard of that before. Thank goodness, I had soy sauce, sweet n sour and orange sauce at home to make this somewhat good. A 4 is generous but maybe my taste buds were off this night. read more

Finally had the chance to try this spot. The interior was clean and welcoming. One highlight was the takeout bag they offered; it was really sturdy and felt like a reusable bag. Much better than a paper or plastic bag. They had a sesame and sweet & sour chicken combo that was nice. Not often do I get to try both. The dish itself was on par with other places. The fried dumplings were pretty good, I enjoyed the crunchy crust. Overall it's a decent spot that would satisfy a craving for easy Chinese food. read more

Good value for money spent ... not to mention the very tasty fare. Location is poor but worth the effort.

Spotlessly clean Chinese foods at a walk-up counter, made by friendly Mexican folks, for take-out or dine in. Table service is not available but the dining area is spacious but a bit echoey. Parking is adequate, food quality is excellent as is quantity at a good price. To follow this up, this place is worth driving to for the food. It's hard for me to believe but this could actually be from scratch. If it's not, I'm fooled! read more

The food was pretty good. I've had better Chinese, but there was nothing really wrong with this lunch at the Wok. They are a little heavy-handed in the crunchy vegetable department. Too much celery carrots bell peppers. At least for my taste. Eggrolls were good. The restaurants is not much to look at : probably 12 tables in here. I may come back someday. read more

Food is basic. Sometimes it's mushy. The service is terrible. Waited 45 minutes just for them to deliver the wrong order. The staff's understanding of the language is spotty and it's tough to communicate. Never been there in the restaurant but every time we've ordered from them, there's some kind of difficulty with delivery. We won't be ordering from them again. read more

We were in Southlake Texas and decided to look for a place to eat. We found The Wok on Google and decided to give it a try. It was 5:25 pm and there were no customers eating inside. We ordered Beef and Broccoli and the Honey Seasame Chicken. The food came to our table within 10min.s and it was fresh and hot. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. I think next time we will order one entry and a side plate. I would definitely recommend The Wok for a great meal. Finally, I found some great Chinese food in the Grapevine/Southlake area. There are a lot of decent and fair Chinese restaurants but few that are really good or better. The Wok has broken that streak for me. I ordered Sesame Chicken, which comes with dark meat chicken, but I substituted that for white meat. That leads me to my only complaint about the place, I had to pay $3.99 to do that on a lunch special that was originally priced at $8.99. The taste and the portion size of my dish I had no complaints about. My service was good, absolutely no complaint there, and my food was freshly prepared and to my table in less than five minutes. Why is it so hard to find good Chinese takeout in DFW? I made the mistake of calling in my order while driving instead of ordering online. On the phone, the guy told me the Szechuan chicken was fried with some vegetables mixed in. So I ordered it along with lo mein, fried rice and chicken egg rolls. As you can see in the picture I provided the dish is like 75 percent vegetables. And they charged $15 bucks for it. The chicken was good but I was told it would be fried and I expected a lot more for the price. The fried rice was super bland, boring and undercooked. As you can see in the picture, it has nothing in it except a tiny bit of egg here and there. The lo mein is decent but needs cabbage or something. It's literally just noodles. Egg rolls were really good though. Overall I don't think there is a much better takeout Chinese place around. Had they given me fried chicken (and more of it) I might give it a 4. In the future, maybe I'll just stick with orange chicken or something read more

Wanted this to be good, we need another choice besides Dragon House for some typical dishes. This was beyond disappointing. The fried rice was just okay, but the chicken in it was overcooked or reheated. The Mongolian chicken was awful and we honestly didn't eat any after the first scoop on our plates. Very dry, the veggies were hard like rocks, the onions and crispy onions were overdone. Sadly we still need some casual choices in this category. I'm sorry, it's one and done for us. read more
