Your normal Nordstrom Rack store, full of luxury items priced at non-luxury numbers. I can also see, because of that, why the line was as long as it was. I was also torn between giving 5 and 4 stars but opted on 5 after the staff was not only engaged with who was checking out, but additional staff was on the salesfloor assisting with either that or restocking in between.

We came to Nordstrom Rack to find reasonably priced clothing for a wedding, which they delivered on. While I was looking through the fabulous shoe selection, I must have dropped my wallet. Contents of the wallet were the standard: id, credit cards, cash ($45), but also included prescription sunglasses. The wallet itself was my mother's. After our Metro ride back to Eastern Market, I realized I didn't have my wallet. Once my initial panic subsided, I began to retrace my steps, riding the Metro back to Pentagon City. I looked, and looked, but no luck. I went back to my son's place feeling defeated. Fast forward a few months, the day before my birthday, I got a package from Nordstrom Rack at Pentagon City. I figured it was a gift from my son, remembering something I liked back in March. Well...imagine my utter surprise and astonishment to find the package contained my long lost WALLET!!!! Not only the wallet, but ALL the contents as well (YES, even the money)!! I was overjoyed!! My faith in humanity restored. WHAT a birthday present!! They sent out an email blast to all clients stating summer sale and An EXTRA 40% off in store only. Went in to purchase a dress and the girl had no idea of what email i was mentioning. I pulled it up and she proceeded to say "oh sorry I've been gone for two weeks"... again terrible service to not have employees in the know. And would not honor the email THEY sent out. I also planned to purchase other things as well but I was so turned off by this. They lost a purchase and a customer- will not be purchasing from here again as good customer service would be to honor the email mistake they had seem to make. Plus the dress is still more expensive than other places - give business to those that value customers and are willing to own up to their mistakes!

It would have been the ultimate combination of items, or combine the Alice Wallet with The Baltimore Ravens's Travler Purse. The employee who was helping use was helpful and cheerful.  She made the whole experience worthwhile.  We are sure to come back when my wife feels the need for another new purse...or see what new arrivals are in this store... Whichever comes first:)

I have shopped at WHBM for years because of their stylish, quality clothing and their great…read morecustomer service. This used to be my favorite store. Until today. This evening was not a good experience and I was very disappointed. Upon entering the Coconut Point store in Estero Florida, I was not greeted even though there were no other customers in the store. There were two women working there. One appeared to be texting on her phone. In the past, when I picked out clothing, the sales associate would put them in a fitting room with my name on it. Not today. I carried all the clothes around the store until I was ready to try them on. In the past, the sales people would check on me and offer to find things in different sizes or offer suggestions on what accessories would go with the clothes. Not today. My husband went out and found things in different sizes for me, while the sales people watched him, or texted. When I was ready to purchase, my husband asked if we could get some customer service for a change. One woman ignored us and the other responded that she didn't know we needed any customer service. I guess it's not in her job description to ask if we needed any help. Then she proceeded to ring up the merchandise. She was pleasant enough, but I would have received more help at Macy's. Their service has gone downhill and I'm not a happy customer. I'm giving two stars because the clothes are still nice, but their customer service is more than lacking.

Immediately upon trying to enter the store we were stopped with a hand to our face telling us we weren't allowed in in a very nasty tone because I had children with me. Despite there being a small child already inside. My oldest went ahead of me so I could park and there was no reception for me to call or text her to have her come outside so we waited in 86 degrees in front of the store until I finally peeked my head in to ask if someone could send my daughter out. This is where things took an even worse turn. The woman and her husband were seemingly bothered by me asking for them to send my daughter out as she tried on dresses telling me to "just close the door". They came outside and told me while my kids sat on the curb to tell me kids touch things and break stuff and I told them my kids weren't going to do that and she says this isn't against you it's just store policy. All I wanted was to get my daughter a nice prom dress I didn't see the sign that said no kids because her sisters and I were excited to see the dresses on display and what should have been a beautiful memory turned in to a terrible nightmare. The man held the door closed so we couldn't enter and when I walked away to wait for my daughter in the car and put her sisters in the air conditioning the man then followed me to my car. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Another client walked past and said the woman had a terrible attitude and she was absolutely correct. Save your money and go elsewhere!!

The owner made us feel welcome and treated us with kindness and respect. She had some beautiful items. This was the only time we saw things we actually liked. Her prices were not any more than any other boutique. I want to thank you, Mrs. Starlen for putting a smile back on our faces and giving my granddaughter an opportunity to say yes to the dress.

The young woman at the front entrance was very kind and asked another associate to help me. Unfortunately, the second associate wasn't nearly as friendly or welcoming. I was interested in the Diptyque candles because I wanted to purchase one for my sister, but after smelling them, I didn't think they were as impressive as the Diptyque perfumes I already own. I was actually glad I didn't do a blind buy. The associate then directed me to the Byredo fragrance counter. I wanted a Byredo candle, but I wasn't looking to spend $95 on one. While browsing online, I noticed there was a smaller size available, but the associate never mentioned that option. The candle selection in the store was also very limited and seemed to be low in stock. When I told him I'd just order online, his attitude became noticeably dismissive once he realized I wasn't purchasing the $95 candle. He did offer to place an online order for store pickup, but by that point I no longer felt comfortable purchasing through him. Between his attitude and my earlier interaction with the second associate, I simply didn't feel valued as a customer. I then went up to the third floor, where the experience unfortunately didn't improve. Although several sales associates walked past me, no one greeted me or offered assistance. I finally stopped one associate and asked if the candles on display were the only ones available. She replied that she was on her break and could find someone else to help. I asked if she could simply answer my question, and she responded, "I don't know." At that point, I was extremely frustrated. Thankfully, my experience completely turned around when I reached the customer service register. The two gentlemen working there were incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. I'll admit I probably came across as frustrated, but that was only because of the multiple negative interactions I'd already experienced. They noticed I was on a scooter wearing a walking boot and treated me with genuine care and respect. One of the associates was Micah S., and he and his coworker provided the level of customer service I had hoped to receive throughout the store. They listened, understood my concerns, and made me feel appreciated as a customer. They truly deserve recognition--and if anyone has earned a bonus or a raise, it's those two gentlemen.

Fashion Center is HUGE and there are dozens and dozens of things to see outside this Nordstrom store. Multiple entrances and lots of parking nearby.
