The staff is very helpful and accommodating. However, the store is not very well stocked. The parking situation is terrible. It's so much easier to order their items online than to visit this store. read more

Chicos in SJC is my "go to" for amazingly comfortable and fun pants! Elizabeth and all the associates are very friendly and helpful without being overbearing. It is a fun place to shop! The only bummer is, you pay for parking or try to find a place on the street. read more

I love Chico's but this location, NEVER AGAIN! I'm always treated to the best service every, but this plaCE NO! Extremely rude people! I was there shopping and had my baby's stroller with me. I bought what i needed and on the way out, this lady kept looking inside my stroller to see if i stole something!! They kept talking in a weird language and all looking at me as if i look suspicious! We went to Father's Day lunch and parked in front of Chicos. As soon as lunch was completed we went into the store. Yvonne greeted us and pointed my wife in the right direction. Both Yvonne and Debra helped my wife pick out some great clothes and were very helpful and professional. My wife was very happy with quality and color selection. What a wonderful place to get clothing with a discount. Not only is the store up front in the outlet mall, there's ample parking. I took my mom shopping here because it's her favorite store. They have quite a bit of items on sale and lots of fitting rooms. Jo was the best sales person, she remembered my mom's name and everyone else's, plus she had a friendly demeanor. She was very helpful in checking to see if there were clothes in the back in other sizes for us. We will definitely be back!! read more

Fire the rude manager. I live in this town, pay taxes here. As a member of this community, we expect kind, loving people to service us. I've never experienced this type of rudeness in my entire life. We are a small town of caring, kind folks. We are not accustomed to mean people lacking the sense of professionalism,l. This woman does not fit. She is arrogant, not caring, and extremely out of her element. I'm sharing my experience with the locals and they are all upset. I suggest you fix the problem. Maybe you can utilize her in an area of the organization where she does not have public contact. Obviously she is not qualified to work with the public! read more

I have never been treated bad by management in any store in my entire life, however the manager at Chico's San Juan Capistrano Monday night at approximately 4:15pm demonstrated what was either extreme prejudice, or cruel abuse. As I write my complaint I'm not sure which one it is. Initially I was one of two people in the entire store. There were two employees at the counter assisting one customer. When I went to check out I was informed I would be a while because they had to finish up with the other patron. I waited a few minutes and then said I will come back at a later time. Apparently both registers were tied up with this one customer. I was then told if I didn't care if they checked for initial discounts they could check me out. I said okay. The manager (young plain woman) said she didn't tell me just to check her out, I can do that. I replied no, you didn't offer me that. You said it would take a while. I said last time I was here, about a week ago, the checkers had the same problem, and could not check for discounts because there system was running slow, and I was in a hurry. I said I'll just return later. The manager then says "if you don't like our service you can shop elsewhere. I told her I did not say that. She said, well you're complaining about last time you were here. I said no I'm not ... I mentioned, last time I had a hair appointment, was in a hurry, but returned after my appointment and made a purchase. She to,d me to leave the store, and said if I didn't, she would call security, and have me thrown out. Never in my 60+ years of life have I been treated so badly. The other worker came up to me, she was embarrassed and mimicked to me that she was so sorry for how I was being treated. Good luck shopping there if this manager I described is present. read more

As a longtime customer I was very disappointed when I recently shopped there and when asking about the discounts we normally received the salesperson said "during the pandemic we stopped mailing the catalogs with discounts, now you get 5%". Frankly, it isn't worth it!!! No more gift certificates from this store. read more

Was there looking for a gift for my mom and was helped by Carol she was so helpful and knew everything about the latest and greatest for the season! The Fabulous Mother's Day Luncheon and Chico's Fashion Show was held on May 9, 2019 at Plaza de Magdalena (Sun Dried Tomato Catering) and Chicos did a fabulous job of dressing our models and providing the narration and show for our 200 guests! Elizabeth, the assistant manager, was wonderful to work with. She made all of our ladies look great and feel great about modeling fashions plus she was at the San Juan Capistrano store to welcome the guests when the fashion show ended. It was a terrific shopping experience for everyone involved. Elizabeth and her staff really know their fashion and how to make all of our ladies look terrific. Of course, the clothing is colorful and well coordinated with the right jewelry and accessories. We have been lucky to have Chico's in San Juan Capistrano for at least 10 years and they are always willing to "roll" all of the clothing over to the restaurant venue so our models can be fitted on time. We always have girls day lunch next door at Cedar Creek wonderful food and service...I usually love Chico's and everyone that works to help get you what you need. I wear a size 2 and the second week of Aug. I went to Chico's just for shopping this day and HORRIBLE! Let me tell you the manager is not friendly at all and the lady helping me appeared to be great hahaha. I asked her if she could find me another size and opened the door. I was the only customer in the store and while waiting and trying one other items. I heard her go to the manager and say "these young girls and how heavy they are"...first of all I'm 41 and look very young fortunately, god bless my mother. The manger answered back "girls just may like to eat more now days. I wanted to say something but didn't my day had already been hard. Im a builder and work very hard, all the time. Bought my finds from Chico's 250.00 dollars that day. Went home and looked at the receipt and noticed one of the items didn't get the markdown it should have. Went back the next day and showed the lady that was helping me and she wanted to argue. Told me the ticket says a dress and that i purchased a jumpsuit. I explained and let her know I understood but I definitely didn't put the ticket on Chico's Inventory and mark it down with a red pen, so they should be able to honor their mistake. She kept wanting to argue so i finally told her I didn't come to argue and if she doesn't want to fix the issue to please get her manager. She fixed it with a BIG ATTITUDE! I F.Y.I'ed her and let her know if she going to talk about her customers next to the dressing room. In a derogatory manor, she shouldn't because we can hear everything. No reply and as mouthy as this lady thought she could treat a young customer...hahaha... 41 year old woman thank you, surprised me. I will never step foot in this Chico's again. Nor will my mother and her friends! read more

I pretty much only shop at Chico's. I am hard to fit and I can always find great quality clothes that fit me because they offer unique sizing. Every time I go this location I get the same standard of service I expect, personal shopper experience! The sales are amazing too. I highly recommend! read more
