Found ourselves in the area so stopped for dinner. The atmosphere is mix matched Mexican with lots of screens for sports. Nice staff. We had the shrimp empanadas. 4.5 stars but rounded it to 5. The entrees were good. We had Al Pastor street tacos and taco salad. The chips and salsa were free but the chips were kinda stale hence 4.5 stars. Service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and professional. The place wasn't crowded at all on a Monday at lunch time so it was pretty quiet. Place is spacious and seems like there's a section for a band. lots of parking. I think the place used to be Vince's? Give them a try. read more

Holy guacamole!!!! We dined here and truly wanted to move in for a week to enjoy every offering. I had a fat and flavorful shrimp burrito and the Mrs had a fish combo. Excellent camarones with whole beans and rice and a small garnish of lettuce, tomato, and fresh avocado. Hubs had yummy pozole with the perfect garnish of veggies to add to the hot soup. Extensive dessert menu was tempting, but we were stuffed. No frills dining ambiance, perfect for couples, families, or groups. Must return to try more items. Keeper! Solid. It's not Vince's but the food and service were good. The place we wanted to go was full so we figured we'd try it. My friend was never a Vince's fan, and for me it was strange to sit there. Craving the rice beans and dressing. But I digress. It's set up the same, menus got a lot more options. I was going to do nachos til I saw cheese sauce! NO thank you! I did the taco salad w carne asada. My friend did enchiladas. The chips and salsa they put out is tasty. Though they bring a hot sauce, the salsa that comes w the chips was flavorful, yummy and not overly spicy. There's a really sweet server who doesn't speak much English but we made it work and she's delightful. They do karaoke on Friday nights, so that started while we were there. I was surprised to see cucumber on my salad and it also could've used sour cream. I chose ranch and it was already mixed w the lettuce. The bottom was soggy from the rice and beans. I wouldn't have minded things being stacked differently in the shell. I got more of the salsa to put on it and that helped immensely. I had what I later identified as a weird chocolate frosting like craving (not a chocolate person, nor is it something I crave). I asked about the chocolate whip cream. First out of curiosity and intrigue then I just wanted some. It sounded like it was flavored whip cream, but either way they were out of it. I liked the food and could see going back to try a couple other things after hitting up some of my other favorite places in town. read more

We've eaten here a few times & have always had a decent experience. Tonight was different though. The servers were friendly, attentive, helpful & answered all of our questions. I ordered a tostada de aguachiles & added mango. My husband ordered a tostada mixta & a miche. My tostada was delicious! Not overly spicy, in my opinion, just enough to make the mouth tingle. The mango was a nice touch but it was an additional $1.50. It was perfectly portioned & presented very nicely. My husband's tostada presented nicely as well but Im not a fan of the ingredients so I didn't try it. He said it was really good but isn't a fan of imitation crab so he will as about omitting it next time. The Tostadas were a decent size & left us feeling satisfied. The miche wasn't our favorite but we're not fans of jugo magy though many do like it that way. Definitely could use some improvement or at least an option for a different type of miche mix. Overall, this has been the best meal we've had here yet & I can't wait to return for another aguachile tostada! read more

Came at almost 10pm tonight service was friendly even though it was close to closing time. Food was delicious! Salsa tasted fresh! My bf ordered asada fries and loved it. He said that he didn't expect to have so much food. I had quesabirria tacos they really hit the spot. I washed it down with a nice iced cold horchata which was also delicious. We ordered menudo and it was so good. Very flavorful and large portions. Even though we ordered to go, the service was very good. The server asked if we wanted cow feet in it. I appreciated that. The restaurant was clean and ambience was inviting. I can't wait to try other things on the menu. My only issue was that they don't have tamales on the menu and they forgot the tortillas, but maybe we needed to ask for them. Highly recommend! We will definitely return! read more

Great food and wonderful service from the small family owners! Legit camarones a la Diablo, their house "very hot" sauce is very hot but also very very tasty, we all loved it at our table. Other hots we tried were the mixed fajitas which were delicious and juicy including the chicken! We also shared the ceviche mixto molcajete and it was very good. I tends to judge a good Mexican restaurant or taqueria by the three main proteins (IMHO) so here I ordered a carne asada taco and an Al Pastor taco. My third would have been a Lengua taco but alas they didn't have any lengua on the menu. Both tacos were excellent, the carne asada was seasoned well, there was zero grissle in it. The Al Pastor was equally delicious and seasoned perfectly. We each also had modelo Michelada's and they were delicious and made from scratch! I was in town on business so I don't know what this place used to be but you can tell the interior is from a few different decades. I'm guessing it's a newer business and I hope they get more locals trying it because we all enjoyed our meals and the service was fantastic. read more

Chidos has only been open a couple of months. We decided to check it out. Located next to the old bowling alley. Lots of parking. Spacious, casual, clean interior. We were the only customers for a late lunch. Service was friendly and fast. I ordered the Quesobirria tacos. 3 plump steaming hot crispy tacos generously stuffed full of savory Birria and just oozing ooey gooey cheese served with broth. So good! I'll definitely order them again. My partner got the fish tacos. Again fat, fresh tasty tacos. The combination of fish, fresh veggies and white sauce was addictive. The menu is quite extensive. We'll certainly be back to what else they have to offer. read more

This is a hidden gem in Woodland. Everything we ordered was amazing. Found out all their food is made fresh not frozen like most restaurants now a days, down to the sauces So don't expect drive-thru service. I have eaten here twice now and both times the food has been excellent. Additionally, the service is very good. The interior is big and open with separate rooms for dining and the bar. Chidos is now on our list of preferred Woodland restaurants. We will be returning. read more

The owner provided such great service to our table. We all ordered different plates and they were all great. The Quesabirrias are definitely best in town. It is a nice restaurant with plenty of room. Tables had more than sufficient space between each other. I am going back to try other plates on their menu.... possibly the Menudo. read more

i'm not the type of person to leave a review but this was just one of the few experiences that can't stay silent. myself along with some group of friends went to this restaurant on a saturday mainly because nothing else was open around 12am. upon arriving they had karaoke and there were vero few people, as we sit down one of my friends notices a dead fly on the table, we should've left since then honestly. 3 of my friends order the carne asada fries along with myself, i swear the only thing that had flavor was the avocado they put on top. i wasn't gonna complain because it was nearly 1am, my other friend however ordered Camarones A La Kora, he told me to try the rice and it tasted as if it was cooked in a clay pot, i didn't even wanna try the beans, he was poking the shrimp and built up the courage to eat some when he noticed they were mushy, they might've been rotten. we finish eating and we're all just regretting this, we should've gone to in n out or stayed home. we're all heading out to pay and 2 of my friends walk out as we're paying and as we're paying a friend of mine walks back in with a bloody nose, i ask what happened and he tells me he threw up, he asks some dude who i assume is the owner for some napkins and i can't make this up he asks him if he did drugs or something. he tells him the food was nasty and just brushes it off, we all leave the restaurant and we're in the parking lot rethinking life when another one of my friends starts throwing up, shortly after i also throw up, i check on my friend and he's scared telling me he heard a pop in his eye, i start recording him to see how his eye is and it's as if he got stung by a bee, his whole eye is just swollen, we all get worried and immediately take him to the ER where we later find out he popped a blood vessel. poor guy had to wear an eyepatch for a week, we called him the one-eyed bandit just for eating some shrimp, but on a real note, im not asking for reimbursement, they seriously gotta have an inspector get that place checked out, a food inspector or something, most of our friend group were minors, luckily nothing happened to them but if something would've, the place wouldn't be open right now. but it would've been much better if that restaurant was closed that night. read more
