Prices are very reasonable for gently used/new clothing. Some days are a hit or miss on inventory depending on the day and time I've gone. The store is very small, can't push a stroller through the isles. I have sold clothing, but they don't pay very much in return. They give you more money if you choose store credit vs. cash back. Overall, this is one of my go-to stores for used clothing because they have the largest selection compared to other child consignment stores. read more

Disappointed with not being able to take advantage of sales when using store credit. I had returned a couple of items and the refund was placed on a gift card/store credit card. I tried to use the card during a sale and was told by the staff that it was store policy that they cannot allow a "sale" purchase to be made with store credit. That does not make any sense to me! I purchased some items with a debit card, returned a couple of items, got refunded in store credit and now cannot use the card with store credit on it, to purchase items on sale. The store credit is only to be used on non-sale items. Ugh!!! read more

I could say I like this Children's Orchard better. It's stroller friendly, bigger and more organized. Clothes are arranged by girls on one side and boys on the other. I signed up for the M.O.M.S club and I was able to use it the same day :-) which is great especially when you find good deals. The store Pros: they pretty much had a lot of brands and some baby activity things. Cons: Some toys and clothes are old and stain way high price. Not alot of baby activity to choose, one walker 2 playpen 2girl bouncer 4 bumbos a couple of tables but it is a small shop. Since with my first child i know now not to spend so much money on things they will out grow, i was here for a bumbo and a neighbor suggested to try this place. I did, when i walk in a blonde young woman has her head hutch over looking at her phone two ladies standing there for her help didnt think anything of it just browse with an irritated husband who didnt want to be there. A young man in the back was really busy with organizing i didnt even bother to ask him but the girl in front still clue to her phone, i walked over no acknowledgement so i asked her if she could retrieve a blue bumbo from the top shelf she acted if i had disturbed her hair. March off towards the back and barked at the man in the back for a latter. I held my tongue and wished i never step foot in this store like the reviews red flag this store. The man retrieved the bumbo and I didnt see her after that must of been from my husband speaking loudly how horrible of customer service is and how important it should be for small shops like this. Embarrassed the man was ringing me up for a bumbo with a tray $23. As i waited for my change i realized we were the only people in the store i guess the women were also fed up with her crap and left, so one star for the mans help and one star for the bumbo. read more

This use to be a good place to sell your child's old clothes or toys at. Now you have to make a appointment two months ahead of time. So I did for today April 1st at 1. Now she's telling me oh it's at 130 so you can leave and come back by two.. seriously? I made the appointment for one and wrote it down while I was on the phone with them. So I'm betting they moved my appt to fit someone she knows in. This place is awesome to buy from. My daughter destroys clothes so fast so this place is awesome to buy her clothes from. Prices are pretty good and most of the clothes are in really good condition. Some even brand new with tags on!!! The staff are helpful and nice. The store is in a large shopping center you can stop by McDonald's for a coffee and hit up kohl's if you can fine what you are looking for. The Fountain Valley store is larger but this one is closer to my house and get most of my daughters clothes needs met!! This store always has what we need and always at bargain prices. The buy back program is awesome, I always opt for the store credit since I buy so much there. I rarely buy anything "new" now. Good condition clothing at prices that can't be beat. And it pays to be a Moms Club member and follow them on social media outlets. This review is about purchasing only. Sure it's a consignment store so it's expected to be stuffed with items to sort through so I didn't mind that. I liked that they had a lot of selections of carriers to check out and also sleepers and swings. Tons of baby clothes. I'm going to assume it was the owner that I was talking to, but both ladies were super nice and helpful. I ended up buying a munchkin diaper pail for $10 & a pacifier thermometer for $4 . When I got home, I was excited to find out that there was a box of liners inside the diaper pail! One less thing to have to run to the store for. I wish I read the reviews before goin to sell my stuff at this place. I felt robbed, cheated. It's my first time selling items to a place like this. I took a trash bag with baby clothes in. Their offer $13... really? Inside that bag was a expensive jacket which of course they took, giving me back some of other stuff. I don't like the fact that they don't let you know what are they keeping and what are they offering for each item. They paid me less than $1 per item and pretty much got a expensive jacket to sell for free. Very disappointed! Never again, I much rather donate my items. read more

This place is a joke, their customer service is terrible and theybjust make you feel dumb. I was selling my items to them and she said "this bag us too big, ugh well whatever I guess I will take a handful out." She really rolled her eyes at my and sighed like I was a problem!! Not my favorite resale place, they don't have the best selection when browsing but I do follow them on Instagram and if they post something good I like to go in and look. They have $1 sales which is always good. The owner has always been very nice and welcoming but some of the other employees don't seem to want to be bothered. I strike up conversations and they look annoyed, I'm just trying to be nice when I am checking out but I guess not everyone likes that. Ok so it's not just me after reading these reviews. The staff is not very friendly at all. They recently had their parking lot sale and sent out a text to their subscribers that said something along the lines of parking lot sale in BACK. They capitalized the word "back" in the text so it made me automatically think they want you going through/parking in the back. I got there 10 min eArly and parked behind the store as did others. At 10am I get out and walk towards the sale and a very unfriendly Hispanic gal states I must go around front if I am there for the sAle. Umm pretty sure you need to reword your text messages cause a handful of others interpreted it the same as I did. I wanted to purchase one $1 item from the sale and the same unfriendly gal mubbled something about pAying up front. This was my second time here and their prices are just average. This location of Children's Orchard is terrible. They have zero customer service skills, they are just rule nazis! They lack basic common courtesy, I was waiting outside the store for it to open and the owner and a cashier walked up, opened the door and locked it behind them. It was 9:55 and they open at 10:00, they didn't even have the courtesy to say something like "we'll be opening shortly, thank you for your patience", they just locked the door behind them without a word. And when I had a bag in my hand and asked if they were buying today, she just looked at me and said "I can make an appointment for you in November" (this was in August). Clearly I was there today, with a bag in hand, not looking for an appointment 4 months from now. When I explained that I drove 45 minutes to get here and November was quite far away, anyone with any notion of how to treat customers would have said "oh ok let me see what I can do, we don't normally take walk-ins for clothes on Saturdays but I appreciate you driving so far to get here" But not this place - they are all about the rules to their dying day. Nothing else matters. I've had this type of experience every time I go there and I only kept going back because I had a gift card I was trying to use up. I've used it up and I will never go back. One of the best small business experiences I've had. The store manager and staff are polite, kind, energetic and customer focused. Every time I come here I leave in good spirits. This store is doing good in the community and I would drive a long distance just to support them. I had a bad experience here so far with a horrible worker. When you read this, you know who you are. It stated that buy one, get one free. So I thought I buy one book, I get one book equal or lesser value for free. Simple, right? So I was matching all the prices together $3.99 with $3.99, $2.99 with $2.99 and $1.99 so forth. I brought the book up front and continued to shop around. The cashier mixed them all up without my knowledge and when I came back to pay for the books, I asked why it's mixed up and responded with an attitude "buy one, get one lesser value". When did that happened? The amount I paid was higher amount than my amount intended to pay. I went back and asked if I could return and pay again but separate $3.99 books together and $2.99 books together and she said she couldn't do that. She said I was trying to cheat the system. I bought a lot of books, 30+ books, not just 2 or 4 books. WTF! I am felt like I got cheated myself. What a F... B.I.T.C.H! So next time, you don't fall in a trap like me. I went in to browse their selection for snow clothes for my son. Found a jacket but it had two prices on it, one with the original pricing of $20 and their price tag that said $26 or something of the sort. I asked the girl behind the counter and she said that was weird and she would inquire about the price. The lady she asked said that they forgot to pull the original tag and it's the marked up price. So the girl tore off the original price and said I could buy it for their price. I'm not sure what went wrong but it's a consignment shop, a shop where mother's go for discounted new/used clothing for their children, not to buy clothing that the owners are marking up from what they buy. I said no thank you, I won't be coming back. This has happened to me before there and the woman before gave me the item for the lower price that was attached to the item. Words of advice, don't leave two price tags on the item. Will be reporting to the BBB. read more

I will never bring clothes or shop here again. I made an appointment with the store manager to bring in clothes and shoes. Two bags full of coveted brands, Justice, Converse etc., in great condition, that my daughter grew out of. The store manager seemed to busy to acknowledge me, then she told me to leave the bags and my number and she will call me in 20 minutes. I waited, walked outside, nobody called, after 30 minutes I walked back in and again, she was chatting, made me feel like I was interrupting some important business. At that point I almost felt like taking everything back and leaving. Finally she called a store clerk to talk to me and they handed me $26, which was pennies for many pairs of shoes, leather boots, Justice pants and tops in almost new condition. It was not worth the gas or trouble, next time I would rather donate to a charity rather than bring to this store. I would not shop here for the same reason, lack of costumer service. read more

This place is alright. I'm a bargain shopper, and I LOVE hand-me-downs, so i thought I would totally love this place. It's not bad, but it's not GREAT. They sell decent baby clothes and other items (bathtubs, toys, strollers), and they're usually in pretty good shape. But I guess I expected cheaper prices. I got 2 t-shirts there for $4 each, but I can get similar shirts for similar prices at Target. On the other hand, I got a Baby Bjorn for $25. I agree with Lisa...I understand that a consignment shop has to share the profit with the original owner, which makes them less competitive than a thrift store, but I also expected better prices. I think it all depends on your taste. There are many people who are willing to pay more for the brand names, and to shop where the items have been carefully pre-selected. Pretty much everything I see in this store is in great condition, with all pieces and no flaws. But their prices reflect it. Many people would be happy to get things at a fraction of the cost. Others, like me, would rather sift through the thrift store and look for the gems at bargain basement prices. I've been several times (work nearby so I go just to see what's new.) I have bought a handful of things here (they have a great deal on onesies socks and hats) but the rest seems overpriced to me. Like I said, maybe it's just me. I've gone here for 2 yrs now! Very true that this place is good for 0-12mth clothes & baby items. Also good for Holiday items like Halloween shirts or costumes! Also good Christmas dresses and shoes but can't start shopping for them until about a month before the Holiday! Much less selection in the older clothes for sure. The girls section seems much better too. Since having my boy I've only bought a few things for him here. I did get a fisher price rainfall noise machine for $8 (retail for $36)! Brand new leoptards on the wall are cute but very overpriced! When I go in I like that the staff doesn't bother me and they tell me to let htem know when I am ready! Makes me feel relaxed and not rushed! It's so small though-wish it was bigger. But I do bring my stroller in (even brought my limo style dble stroller in) and it was not ideal but worked out for the short time I was there! I do appreciate a good bargain but will also pay a little more for someone to sift through all the bad stuff for me! No time for thrift stores! read more
