Severe, severe lack of customer service. I have been here before and had a pleasant buying experience. I'm 9 months pregnant and came in for a nursing pillow. Asked one of the sales ladies for help since they are up high on a shelf near the ceiling. She told me she needed to find her stick to grab the ones I wanted to see. I stood and waited. There were maybe 2 other people browsing in the store. Not less than 5 minutes later, another lady walks in the store and says to the girl that was helping me that she was there to inquire about an item. The sales girl immediately stops what she is doing to help this lady out after I had already asked for help. I waited another couple of minutes since I had a few books I wanted to buy. The sales girl walked by me with this other lady twice and didn't even acknowledge me or that I had asked for help first. Another sales girl was behind the counter tagging items and was within close distance to see and hear all of this. I put the books back on the shelf and left. Terrible customer service. Don't waste your time here. I'll stick to going to Los Al Kids. read more

Girl at register was super nice and friendly. Lady who was doing the buying was also friendly but when I asked questions she was a bit rude. I asked if I decided I didn't want to sell something that they were going to buy for 50 cents.... if I could just keep it. And she said no, we will just give everything back to you. Not fair. But anyway, I didn't end up selling anything to them because they offered me $25 for a whole laundry basket with brand new and lightly used baby items. Such a Rip off! I probably had about $250 worth of clothes, swaddles, sleep sacks, and accessories that she was going to give me $25 bucks for. Terrible. And when I asked for my items back after deciding on a no.... she had kept a few items in the back that were mine. I was missing a few of my items like new baby socks and brand new baby shoes. Not cool. Never coming back here again. To top it off everything they do have in the store is old, faded, and outdated!!! They pretty much wanted to buy my baby clothes for 50 cents and sell it for $5 bucks. F that. read more

Love the new location it is bigger. It can be hot and miss what you find but I always find treasure of some sort for my now six year old. I have been shopping here her whole life. When selling back be there early with two small grocery bags of stuff and toys and shoes. You will not get top dollar but it's still worth it to sell outgrown stuff. read more

She is highly unprofessional and blatantly rude. The look on her face and tone was overwhelming embarrassing. As i left she was offering bags . I couldn't hear someone speaking to my back. LOVE this place! My husband came on labor day & they were having a special! So we got an even better deal on a double stroller that we really needed for our growing family. As my due date is getting nearer we started looking at double strollers and their compatability with our baby carseat. We bought a sit and stand and realized our other little one wouldn't be able to sleep because it has no seat, only a bench. So we asked if we could trade it in for a different double stroller with 2 seats. They were so kind and understanding and let us do the exchange! Not to mention they helped me practice & taught me how to install the car seat, lean the seats and attach an adapter. The staff was so kind & friendly! I'm definitely going back & already started recommending my mom friends. They also helped me load the double stroller into my car too! They went above and beyond, which I'm so thankful for! It is hit or miss! Sometimes I go and find great deals, the next time I go and can't find a thing. I do think the store is really crowded, and if you bring your baby in a stroller forget it. There is no space to really move around. Sign up for their emails to get their specials, they have great deals. I haven't sold anything so I can't say how that goes. read more

Only reason why I gave them 1 star Is because I can't put 0 starts ! I sold my daughters NEW toys there and the cost TRIPLE what they gave me . Example I sold a unicorn, charger included, new , with its barn(as storage), also my daughter basically never rode the unicorn due to being stored away. I bought it for $160 with taxes and they gave me like $20-$25 dollars for it . I gave them a our generation doll car. Bluetooth on the radio, NEW bought it for $60 probably got $10 from them. I gave them a our generation ballerina doll NEW cost me $30 I'm pretty sure I got maybe $7 for it ... and a pink bike originally cost $70 I think and I DOUBT I got anything close to $10, I also took some light up boots cost me $25 they payed me $3!! For it !! ... I in total got paid $50 for what I took which was WAYYY much worth for what I bought it for specially because they were NEW . I understand it's a RESALE store and they have to get any profit out of it but I don't think it's fair that what people go for an resale unused toys, clothes etc and then u walk out with literally not even close to half of what you've paid . And then they post them up with a price higher then what they bought them for they triple the price for themselves. NOT COOL read more

Ok so here is my review of this place. I hardly ever do reviews but I want to share my experience in detail. I have been wanting to sell items to this location for nearly a year and I was detoured by yelp reviews. Mainly because I was not sure how it worked. Would I have to wait around with my impatient toddler who does not know how to behave in public yet? If so, it would be too stressful for me. I continued to donate my items not wanting to risk a bad experience or waste of time. But yesterday I called (8/12/19) and I believe I spoke with the owner. She gave me all the new info on selling walk in hours and she was so professional and nice. I was then convinced to give it a try. At this time I was told walk in hours start at 9:30 am (opening time) and the firsts 15 customers are taken. You fill out a card with your information if you are new to selling and your bin of items is given a number with your name assigned to it. To give you an idea, I arrived at 9:30 am and I was number 6 in line. I believe when I arrived back around 10:40 the last selling customer #15 arrived. You are allowed to take in two grocery bags of clothing and any gear and toys. Items that require testing such as wipe warmers are not accepted. You are allowed to leave and come back in the time the sales associate gives you. Which is great for me, I ran some errands in the hour wait I was given. When I returned I waited for maybe another 15 mins until my name was called. I let my daughter out of her stroller nervously worried she would destroy the store. But she played with another little boy at the LEGO table. Such relief. Out of the items I brought most of my items were taken. I brought two grocery bags of clothing and a few toys. I collected $32. (I was also offered $42 in store credit I believe, but we were not in need of any items at the moment) Frickin sweet considering I would have otherwise donated the items. That's some diaper money! So anyways I recommend this place. I recommend selling. Don't come in being miss Becky thinking you're gonna get the price you paid for an expensive pair of uggs you bought for your kid. It's a business where they need to make some profit. The sales associates were great! I've worked retail almost all my life and I know how bad people can suck. So if you don't suck, you will probably have a good experience too. I will be a returning customer. read more

This store is definitely amazing in terms of purchasing children's clothing, but if you are looking to sell any of your child's items, I would definitely NOT recommend this place whatsoever. They don't purchase very many onesies, and almost all of the clothing I had available for purchase was brand new condition, I would say I had over 100 items and they only offered me $43 for everything, including a bouncer. if you are on a very low budget, this place is awesome for adorable baby clothing. but if you would actually like a fair price for the purchase of your items, DO NOT SELL TO THEM. you are much better off trying to sell items on craigslist or a similar site. read more

No complaints on inventory but the lady working was rude and made you feel uncomfortable. We were browsing the clothing racks and the lady made it very awkward that she found it necessary to fix the racks of exactly everything we were looking at. Horrible customer service! I was given information over the phone by one employee, only to find out when I got there, the information I was given was incorrect. They made me feel like it was somehow my fault. I felt like a 2nd class citizen there. They hardly give you any money for your items. I would not recommend this place...In all honesty, I will be donating all of my items next time, new or used to the good will. The little money & wasted time was not worth it for me. Children's Orchard is alright. I have been slowly bringing in baby equipment since my son has been getting older to make more room in the house and garage and avoid the need for a garage sale. They only sell on certain days and times, so it's best to call first. It can also take up to an hour to get through the whole process, so I usually drop it off and then walk to Kohls for a bit before returning to the store. They offer you a cash price or a store credit price which is a little higher. I always opt for store credit and then let my kids go nuts in the art section. They have new water-color pads, brushes, paints, puzzles, bookmarks, sunglasses, outdoor supplies, hair ties, etc. Last time we were there we traded a Pack n Play for 2 water-color pads, a 4 foot floor puzzle and some paint brushes. I think it's a great deal since it's giving my kids more to do and I have less that needs to be stored away. read more

Customer service is HORRIBLE!! BEWARE!! You'll be RIPPED OFF if you try to sell something here. You'll make tremendously a lot more money if you take the time to sell your item on the internet or somewhere else. TRUST ME, it's worth it!! I felt CHEATED!! I know the store has a limitation on the amount of items your allowed to bring. But I spoke to the supervisor stating how, I just moved into town and had 3 large bags of brand name dolls, and 1 large bag of children's clothes. She stated how that would not be a problem as long as she was present. I later realized I was only given .25 cents for each brand name doll and only .10 cents per clothing item. A few days later I researched on E-bay and Amazon that others were selling the same dolls I sold to the owner for $10 and more. I was ENRAGED in the total amount I was given. Two weeks later I stopped by the store and saw that the brand name dolls she gave me only .25 cents for, we're being sold for $7 and above. The clothes she only gave me .10 cents for, we're being sold for $4 - $7. WHAT!! RUN!! YOU'LL MAKE A LOT MORE MONEY SELLING YOUR STUFF SOMEWHERE ELSE!! read more

...I've been meaning to write this for awhile and am just getting around to it. I took in a bag of clothing (new with tags) and several small new baby items that I never used for my son. I waited over an hour to have my things seen which I understood there was a wait. That is fine. However, I was very patient, looking around the store and my son started to get antsy. To appease him, I let him play with a small toy that was for sale. I had in my mind that I would probably buy it but wasn't sure what I would get for my things. When it came time to tell me what they would give me for my items, they said $11 or a slightly higher price for store credit. I wanted the cash and said that I would take that. There were a few of my things they "didn't want" which were brand new but whatever. The gal behind the counter knew I had waited forever, could see that my son was super tired and upset, and she proceeds to tell me that the toy my son is holding is "in his mouth" and that I would have to buy it. Mind you, this is a used toy. No brand new. And he barely had his mouth on it. So...now the money I was receiving would be less because I had to buy a used toy because my son had "put his mouth on it". I was super polite but very frustrated and almost in tears that I had wasted my time. I kindly asked for my items back and that I changed my mind and didn't want the now $7 I would be getting for my items. I paid for the toy, got my items returned back to me in a mess of a bag, they literally tossed it all on a bag when I had them neatly arranged in the bag where the tags weren't all tangled, etc. I left with the dumb toy... Never going back there again. So rude. Another time I had purchased a costume there and dropped it on my way out. I called to see if it had been turned in at the counter and before I could even get the words out the girl said nothing was there. She didn't even check to see if the costume had been re-hung up or anything. Very sad about that! Just have felt treated very rudely by the gals that work there. They don't care about being nice. They were also talking about a customer after she left and I could hear the whole conversation. Completely disappointed. read more

WORKERS ARE THEIFS !! PLEASE READ !!!! BEWARE PLEASE READ ALL SO THIS DOESNT HAPPEN TO YOU !! WASTE OF MONEY & TIME ! I had the worst experience I ever had selling my daughters stuff that no longer fit her. So I get to the children's orchard at 10:20 am I see there's a line and the cash register lady tells me it's an hour wait & so I take my daughter to the park for an hour since I don't live in the area & I get back then the lady tells me another 30-45 minutes so then I get back again and they offering me only 24 dollars for 8 pairs of BRAND NEW / EXCELLENT condition shoes plus clothes & toys that are also name brand Uggs , Nike & converse I had 4 Brand new Shoes including the uggs which still had tags on bottom of shoes never worn once and so I tell the lady I'll take back the uggs since I know I can get more money for them and then she says okay she's only going to give me $9 for my stuff NOT $10 but $9 for everything except the UGGS so $9 for multiple Nike shoes , converse and brand new old navy and H&m shoes & sandals including more than half of my daughters clothes & toys ! There was more than 9 items which means I'm getting less than a dollar worth for each item , so I ask the red hair lady that goes thru the clothes , how does the pricing work? & she says based on brands and condition and I'm like well I have multiple top name brands plus in BRAND NEW CONDITION and the Ugg's are brand new straight from the box and she says "well I buy uggs everyday and they aren't expensive they are only $50 dollars" which is a lie because I paid $70 for my toddler uggs but anyways she said $15 dollars was A LOT Of money for uggs and I'm just like I'm going to take my stuff back, so she just gives me back the shoes and toys and I go thru it and I'm missing a pair of shoes so I go back in and here she had them stuffed away under other peoples stuff so then I get my shoes back and I go back to make sure all the clothes were giving back and I had to go back in THERE AGAIN because 6-7 articles of clothing were missing ! And I'm just stunned because I have to go back in there and the lady is like you need to tell me every item that is missing and there was a lot of " are you sure you donated this " are you sure I took that " like YES LADY. I know what I put in that box and then she goes to get a shirt I was looking for and says "OH I actually was going to donate this shirt because it has a stain on it" (which it didn't)and I'm just like Thinking to myself WHO in the hell does this lady think she is to take my daughters clothes and decide what you Are & are Not gonna PAY for and donate it for free to another store , I came to sell the clothes and if you don't want it because it had a "stain" then you should have GAVE it back from the START not take it upon yourself & then same with my daughters toy she's like " I meant to give this one back it had a scratches on it " BUT LADY YOU KEPT IT ! This lady had my daughters clothes separated in other people's piles and I started to notice that what she does if you don't identify every item you brought she will keep stuff you don't remember , which I think is DISGUSTING you are a children's store and your store is overloaded with clothes your not helping anyone but your self buy nonchalantly stealing some clothes and getting them "mixed up" like I had to come back in there twice to get ALL of my stuff and i just don't get how this lady is going to offer me $9 for so many items she took and forgot was mine. Also I felt very disrespected because this lady acted as if my stuff was beneath her when I specifically picked out things that never been worn or in excellent condition because I knew they weren't going to except anything that looked old and dirty and here she is trying to sneakily keep my stuff and not pay for it , not only did I waste my gas , money and TIME 1 hour and 45 minutes for what ? For some snooty lady to argue with me and trying to not give me back ALL of my stuff I really do believe she could've at least offered $3 each pair of shoes , & give me back ALL OF MY things AT ONCE . then acting like what I gave her wasn't worth the $9. Not all children's Orchard are like this one just please beware of the lady that goes thru the clothes and make sure you know everything your bringing or els she will keep it, if your actually trying to get money for your clothes DONT COME HERE ! Horrible customer service. Employees have long faces. The clothes they sale are either stained looks old or faded. There a rip off they buy items from you for a dollar and sell it for like 10!! Don't even try selling them anything there so picky and will reject your stuff. I had dresses used only once brands from baby gap to circo they returned almost everything to me. The stuff they sell don't even look high end. Never again will I come back to this store I'll just try another location. read more

I've bought clothes from here tons of times...but never sold to them until today. By appointment only you can bring in 2 large white trash bags of clothes and separate bag for toys and shoes. All I have to say is that they made bank with what I donated to them. And they gave me only $100 for at least 100 items with at least 20 pairs of shoes. They give about 0.50 cents to and dollar for each item and sell them for $5-$10!!! They give nothing for your good used clothes and shoes. I should've walked out with everything and sold it in front of the store for $1 a piece. read more

First time here, the employee was polite, informative and was able to answer my questions, will definitely return. Some of their Halloween costumes were out & there is a wide selection that is very easy to sort through. Also bought 2 board books for very cheap, the price I paid for both was less than half of what the msrp price is just for one book. read more
