We've been coming to Chile Verde Mexican Grill for years, and the only reason this review took so long to write is because I keep eating the food before I remember to take pictures! Today, all I managed to photograph was the menu because, once again, the food disappeared too quickly. Chile Verde is truly a hidden gem. The owner is a one-man operation - he takes your order, prepares every meal himself, and does it all with incredible care and pride. The food is consistently excellent. The ingredients are fresh, the oil is always clean, and everything is cooked to perfection without ever feeling greasy. My go-to orders are the Beef Rolled Tacos with Guacamole and the Vegetable Burrito, and they never disappoint. One thing that has always impressed me is how immaculate the kitchen is. His stainless steel equipment is always spotless and shining, and it's obvious he maintains the highest standards of cleanliness. There isn't a dining area, so it's takeout only, but don't let that stop you. The quality of the food more than makes up for it. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food made with fresh ingredients by someone who truly cares about his craft, Chile Verde is absolutely worth a visit. Please do note the hours of operation. Chile Verde Mexican Grill is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Las Vegas about 15 minutes from the Strip. It's located inside a convenience store at a gas station. I was seeing different answers on their opening hours, but it opened at 7am on the Friday I went. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito ($9.25) with pico de gallo ($1.25). It was surprisingly a big burrito and even had fries in it. The flavors were good; I paid extra for pico but I wish there was more because it was more heavy without it. It came with mild and spicy salsas. The owner is a one-man band who took my order and made the food. There was no seating so you'll have to take your food elsewhere to eat. Extremely disappointed and honestly shaken up by this experience. I ordered a California burrito with potatoes and steak, and not only was the burrito gross, but I almost CHOKED on a huge wooden hot dog stick that was inside of it! I'm extremely lucky it didn't get lodged in my throat or seriously injure me. There is absolutely no reason a large wooden stick should ever end up hidden inside someone's food. This is a serious safety issue, not just a bad meal. On top of that, the steak and fries were not good at all. I definitely won't be eating here again, and I hope management looks into how something this dangerous could happen. read more

Really wanted to like this place because of the rating. However, heres my honest opinion. Came on a friday, 8 am. Guy cooking took my order and 27mins later im out the door. No body was there before me. I got southwest omelette and ham breakfast burrito. The omelette was 12.99, If im not mistaken. nothing special, tasted like an omelette. Was for the wife. Mine was the ham breakfast burrito and i had high hopes. A few cents short of $10 ... It's larger than Roberto's... But thats where the positive ends. It was 90% fries!!!! I counted about 8-9 quarter inch ham pieces, i couldn't even tell if there were eggs?!? Such a disappointment. Ill stick to Roberto's or other's... Id get it cheaper and faster.... While it took a minute to find the tiny sign on the door of the Choice gas station, it blew my mind. I've been trying to find a gem like this for ages in Sin City. A spot with a simple traditional menu, with two types of sauce. The red one that has your ass spitting fire and the other beyond flavorful green one. I mix them both together then take Rolaids after. Being on a GLP-1 I couldn't finish the entire feast but every bite was orgasmic. I kept thanking God for the amazing feast and the fact my EX is finally gone. You all know the feeling friends. This place is great! Every time I come to this gas station I always see a line for Chile Verde and the food looked amazing. I finally gave it a try and it did not disappoint! This was probably the best nacho plate I have had in Vegas. It was sooo delicious. The best part of this place is it is in a huge gas station, so you can get all your gas stations snacks at the same time! In the back they have tables to eat at but they also have massage chairs! When I went it was a cool gas station spot, you have to actually go inside the gas station and the counter is right at the entrance. The gentleman working there by himself works extremely hard! One of the hidden gems in Las Vegas. This whole in the wall/gas station has been my go to spot for the past 10 years . Only complaint I really have is a minor one which can be resolved if you place in an order over the phone. It's a one man show at this spot , so wait times can be over 45 mins, but the food is definitely worth it . I always get #11 which is rolled tacos with rice and beans, best one in Vegas imo. Oh man this place is great. I ordered a bacon and ham breakfast burrito. This thing weighted in at over 19 oz, I waited to get home with the burrito to make sure I checked the weight. I got the green sauce, which was said to be mild and it had a little spice to it. I'll try the red sauce for the next one. The burrito costs, with tip, around $13 and it was well worth it. Service was wonderful. I walked right in the order window and the cook was making another burrito for the guest in front of me and took my order. You wouldn't believe that this place is inside a gas station. Everything looked very clean and professional. The only reason I even heard of this place was by TikTok. Don't let the gas station location deter you. This is a really solid and well-priced Mexican spot in the Southwest. Honestly, it's probably one of the top fast casual Mexican places in the area. Unless things have changed recently, this is a one-man show, which on one hand can slow things down, but is also very impressive to witness. Mad respect to the guy, but if you're in a time crunch, this is not the place to do it. I've gotten a few burritos, chips, and guacamole, and they were all fantastic. The guy doesn't mess up. I wish I had tried this place sooner. I am in the convenience store regularly because they have a little satellite post office that is less busy than the big one on Russel, and have been curious about the food at Chile Verde. I ordered chicken enchiladas with rice and beans and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was, especially when he was able to prepare it so quickly. This is my favorite carne asada burrito place and their red sauce is SPICYYYYY! I've only tried the carne asada burrito and breakfast burrito and both are amazing. To me I thought the size of the burrito was hefty and great portion! At least for those two items I have tried I like it WAY better than Robertos and it tastes more authentic! You know its real when they have Mexican sodas in those little glass bottles! The horchata's are delicious too. Another cool thing is that inside the gas station they sell actual mexican chips!!! I ordered a bean and cheese wet burrito and a shredded beef taco with no queso fresco due to allergies. Of course the cook didn't listen and added the cheese. I asked him for a new corrected taco and he proceeded to help the person next in line instead of taking care of my order. I got the order and took it home only to find out that the taco was lettuce on the bottom, a little bit of meat, then covered again with lettuce and yellow cheese. But when we went chillax hole in the wall grandma's cooking, we come here. Every time we go, there's always a long line of people, so phone order ahead. On this visit, we got a California burrito, breakfast steak burrito, carne asada burrito, and beef taquitos. Everything was delicious. The California burrito was our favorite - stuffed with steak, fries, cheese. The steak breakfast burrito hit the spot and was filled with delicious steak, eggs, and potatoes. The carne asada burrito had more rice than we would've liked, but it was still good. The beef taquitos had a generous helping of guacamole.
