Went to the downtown hollywood location, it has very nice decorations and very spaced out, it is outdoors so probably not the best place for summer dinning; The service is nice until you notice the unmentioned fees . I tried a cochinita taco and beef taco, they were tasty BUT very small (smaller than a mexican taco found in actual mexico city taco stand) When I asked for more salsa it came in a very small container (maybe 3tblsp) and I was charged for that (they did not tell me it would be an extra charge until I saw the check) I probably won't be returning because of high prices and hidden fee's tho ‍ read more

Absolutely Wonderful!!!!! Last night we just happened to park by this restaurant and were intrigued bc the fusion of Peruvian and Mexican sounded great. Well, they did not disappoint in any way. We were actually encouraged to come in as we read the posted menu, and we are so glad we did. We immediately loved that there was live music. Our server was phenomenal. He suggested the Ceviche for starters and the Birria Tacos for dinner. Wow! Was he on point. The dipping sauce for the Tacos were gold!!! Both items were AMAZING!!!! We came to Chilelimon on a Friday night with friends, and there was great ambiance. The location is a covered outdoors restaurant, but it didn't feel too hot in October. They had live music, which was fun too! I enjoyed a mango margarita, and my husband ordered a mezcal cocktail. We both liked our drinks, but our friends got the refillable Yard, which doesn't contain as much in actuality as it looks like it does on the menu. I recommend just getting individual drinks. We shared the elotes, which were delicious! I liked that they had a vegetarian offering for each section (tacos, burritos, bowls, etc), and that it had nopales. I ordered the tostada, which was very messy to eat. In the future, I'd probably try the tacos with the same filling. read more

Stopped by one week day afternoon because I was in the mood for some birria tacos. This place is a Mexican Peruvian fusion spot so you get the best of both worlds, truly. The birria tacos were super yummy and I got the Chicha Morada beverage (Peruvian) which was 10/10. My mom got their piña colada and i loved the coconut shavings on top. I wish it was more lively when I stopped by but we were the only patrons there, it seems like it gets more traction later in the day because slowly people trickled in as we were paying/about to leave. Our server was very nice and explained to us his recommendations. Next time I stop by I'll definitely try their ceviche to switch it up! We truly enjoyed our dining experience here. We frequently visit Mexico and love the food. This was on par with our Mexican experiences. I absolutely love everything about this resturant. I first went to the Farmers market location for lunch and had the best food I have ever had there. The ceviche was one of, if not best I have ever had. The cocktails were also unique and wonderful. The service was nothing short of excellent. I met the owner while there who told us about the main location in Hollywood so we came back to it for dinner the same day. It would not disappoint. The food and cocktails were just as wonderful as was the service. Even saw the same bartender and owner that night who had been working all day, still with genuine smiles and warm greetings. Just wow!!! Forgot to add that the band playing tonight was like icing on the cake. The restrooms were spotless. Was able to poke my head in the kitchen and it too was crisp clean. Went today for lunch at the yellow green market. Very upsetting that they automatically add 18% service fee. First you go to a counter top to order, cashier hid the receipt under the table topper, so I added a tip. Then they call your number and you get your food. So not really sure what the 18% is for? What an amazing place to come on a Saturday night. I saw their Instagram and decided to give it a try as I thought a Mexican Peruvian restaurant would be something interesting since I love ceviche and Mexican. This place did not disappoint. They have a ceviche tostada that was Awesome. They also have a three taco plate that was excellent. They have live music that starts at 8 o'clock on Saturday night and it was a treat. They played one Spanish song and then one English song alternating which was great fun for all and appealed to all audiences. The beer was cold and the food was good. What more do I need to say? Ducked in because the place is in my area of operations and I wanted to scout it. So I love the spot, and subsequently added them to my walking-food-tours in the area as they are that awesome, here's why: The place is Mexican-Peruvian fusion, that is a rarity. Kind of like a unicorn, special and magical. They make their tortillas from hand and they are cooked to order, that is a real UNICORN. I know, I lived in Mexico for a year. All the flavors here are fresh, homemade, and made with care and love. Like their cocktails. They routinely serve either Pina Coladas or Tamarind Margaritas to my tour guests and the guests LOVE IT! I dunno the last time you had a Tamarind Marg, but I suggest you go out of your way to come here and try one. Replete with dry ice inside for additional effect. The Pinas are made from scratch. My wife and I had passed by this restaurant a week ago and told the owner we would be back. When we came in, there were water bowls for your furry babies, which worked well for us because we brought our dog with us. The restaurant is not indoors but they have plenty of shade and fans to keep you cool. The design and feel of the restaurant definitely gives relaxation and tranquility. You are basically sitting in a beautiful garden ready to have mouth watering food. We ordered the cevitostada with shrimp in ahi Amarillo sauce. My wife was weary because she has had that sauce in other places and she was overwhelmed with the taste of mustard. When the food came, the tostada was crisp, the sauce was cut with the right amount of lime/lemon, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly and not rubbery. For our main dish, we ordered tacos and they were grilled chicken, pork belly, cochinita pibil, and veggie. The grilled chicken taco reminded me of my mother's Haitian cooking. It was super flavorful because they added the black beans with a well seasoned sauce. The pork belly and cochinita pibil were also well seasoned and had me craving for more. The veggie taco pleasantly surprised me because I assumed it would be fajita veggies and it was the total opposite, but it absolutely worked. The veggies and the sauce blew my wife's mind. We also tried the quesabirria and I almost dropped to the floor. One of the owners explained that they marinate the beef for 10 hours. Can I say, so freaking tender, juicy, and popping with flavor.Once you dip it into the sauce it was over for me and my wife. Overall, this place is wonderful for a date night, casual hangout with friends, family, getting off work, and events. They have live music on Saturdays, and we happened to stop by when they had happy hour. They had $3 tacos and 50% off house drinks and beers. I have seen people complain about there tacos being small, but those shells are home made and are made when you order. Those corn tortillas were the best I had ever tasted and so authentic. The worse burrito I have eaten. I got charged 24$ for a churrasco burrito which had 4 pieces of small meat, white rice , one spoon of dry black bean and a bunch of lettuce, they charge a fee for the sauce which is like one table spoon and they already charge you a service charge. RIDICULOUS, I went back and told the cashier and the owner I believe that what they sold me was very disrespectful and I Told them that I had opened the burrito all I saw was lettuce and to my surprise only 4 small pieces of shredded beef which I specifically told her I wanted churrasco.
