chicken salad bowl (no cheese), patron skinny margarita

FRESH, delicious & friendly! Walked up because I was hungry after beach time and it sits right on Hollywood boardwalk. Was quickly sat at a table and served! Ordered the ceviche and a piña colada. The ceviche has shrimp, mahi mahi and is SOOO delicious. They put some sort of seasonings on their chips that is to die for. Their food is light so I was able to hit the beach after with no bloat. Very allergy friendly! (i'm gluten and dairy free) Now i'm back a 2nd time in one week, got the salad bowl with chicken and a Patron marg. Brought my pup along! DOG FRIENDLY!! She LOVED her steak. Definitely come her if you need a quick, healthy reset on your beach day.

On vacation on Hollywood beach! Went to this restaurant twice, once during lunch time & once during dinner to test it out. food was hit or miss (steak burrito - incredible. Guac - incredible! lemon garlic shrimp - overcooked & their nachos were large & lots of tasty toppings but ground beef was bland). Overall - thought it was filling for the portions & price! however, the service was mediocre at best. During lunch, we were maybe 1 of 10 tables, dinner 1 of 15 and the service was incredibly slow! slow to get water, slow to order & slow to get the bill. You are sitting in a beautiful area - ocean view & right on the broadwalk in a less busy area so you have a great view while waiting, but we sure did do a LOT of waiting.

We arrived early (5 pm) and there was limited seating. We were able to sit outside with an ocean view and received excellent service from Roberto. We ordered a Maimi Vice - very good frozen drink and a beer. We ordered the ceviche, a large portion for a good price, which was delicious. We had shrimp and mahi tacos which were super flavorful and fresh. It came with corn on the cob (mediocre, but it's February obviously not fresh). Overall very good experience!

In the area a day ahead of our cruise departure and hit MQ for dinner. We were quickly seated...outdoors but under cover with a view of the beach. Staff courteous and present throughout the meal. All dishes arrived hot and very flavorful...fish hot and crispy with nicely seasoned chips/fries. Tacos soft with plenty of meat; shrimp dinner also a hit. Main drawback was the 30 minute wait between ordering and receiving our food. Team brought chips and guacamole (on the house) to the table after about 25 minutes...nice gesture...driver of the one star deduction. Note that parking is a challenge (limited and construction in the area) with the nearby garage charging $9 per hour. Slow service resulted in an $18 parking charge. Also, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill though that is disclosed in the menu. Still great food and a great view with a quality service staff.

Stopped in around 8:30pm on a Sunday night after craving tacos all day. It was fairly quiet with a good amount of available seating. I sat outside on the broadwalk which is great for people-watching, even later at night. I ordered a margarita to start - it was on the sweet side and not my favorite margarita. I didn't even finish it as a result of it being so sweet. I had the salmon tostada, a carnitas taco, and a mushroom taco. Everything was pretty average. I expected more flavor, especially given the cost of the food. If the tacos had more of the cilantro(?) sauce, they would be better! The service was okay - more attentive at first and then less so by the end of the meal. I had to flag down the server to pay and get going. Overall, great ambiance but food, drinks, and service were lacking and not quite worth those beachside costs.

We came here on a whim and were so pleasantly surprised! The view is unbeatable- we got seating outside right on the boardwalk overseeing the beach. Our waiter brought us the menus and we ordered the quesadilla and the burrito- both appropriately priced for the area. The food tasted great and we would definitely come back and repeat. If you're in the area, I recommend trying this place. If there's no tables available outside, you'll be just as happy inside with AC and the beautiful decor.

Service was fast! Location right off the beach! Def a go to bar. Food looked good. The atmosphere was fun. Everyone was having a good time!

After being in Florida for one month I have officially found my favorite restaurant! I'm traveling from texas and can confirm that this place has one of the best food in Hollywood Fl. Trust me when I say I know good food! Roberto gracefully accommodate us 25 mins before closing and truly was helpful in giving us as wonderful experience.

I had a really nice time here. The food was really good. I enjoyed the carnitas bowl and the mahi taco. I think it's a little pricey, but you're directly on the beach so I get it. Service could have been better as we had to flag down our waiter a few times. The decor was cute and I think a good spot to get drinks with friends.

Absolutely a 10/10 experience at The Mermaid Queen! From the amazing service to the laid-back ambiance and perfect waterfront view, everything just clicked. And the tacos? Next-level. As someone who takes tacos seriously, these are some of the best I've ever had. If you're anywhere near Hollywood, FL, The Mermaid Queen is a must.

A very nice dining experience! Swordfish steaks, grilled with rosemary, were amazing, and with half a grilled lemon on the side. Bok Choi with mushrooms, grilled potato with onion, Mexican fries, beautiful small salad were side choices. Portions were perfect, not overly huge. Music was a bit loud for conversation, but they happily turned it down when we asked. Server even reminded us twice that gratuity was included in the total. Exceptional experience with a friendly non fussy vibe.

Is this a family friendly restaurant ? We are going to hollywood in June and wondering if this would be a spot to eat with our kids.

It's a bit fancy by some standards to bring the kids, but I was there a couple months ago and saw families of all ages eating there at lunch and dinner. Due to the price point and menu offering, it is more of an adult restaurant (at least in the…

Mauricio was at the bar and we definitely missed being under his attention by not sitting there. Eliezer (the Venezuelan waiter from Mérida) took care of us in the dining room. Both are always very friendly and attentive. This time we decided to sit in the dining room because we were a group of three and had a lot to talk about. The place has 4 TVs and we were able to enjoy the France vs Spain match. We all ordered La Tropical Draft beer, a light, smooth, and very refreshing blonde. In total we had 16 beers . We shared nachos with grilled steak, which were very good (they pour the melted cheese right at the table). We also ordered tripa tacos well toasted (that's the technique) as we requested, and they came out excellent. Note: They have different promotions or offers depending on the day, not a regular happy hour variety, so it's good to be aware of that. The restaurant offers a good variety of 8 salsas: Sirloin, Chips, Guacamole, Verde, Vicente, Pastor, Chilanga, and Asada. Good atmosphere, pleasant service, and tasty food. We'll definitely keep coming back.

Friendly, professional, and just the right level of attentive--he really elevated the whole experience. We started with one of the ceviche dishes, which was fresh and flavorful. My partner ordered the chicken quesadilla, and this was not your average quesadilla--it was absolutely delicious. I had a few bites and immediately wanted more. I went with the grilled red snapper tacos, which were outstanding. And since we had been before, I already knew we had to get the Mexican street corn again--still just as good, if not better. To top it off, I made sure to order the El Vez sundae, and it did not disappoint. The crunchy, spicy peanuts take it to another level--so good. This place is just consistently excellent. It's a small, fast, casual dining place, with table service. I started with the La Potranca cocktail. Our server said it was tequila, passion fruit, and coconut. I assume it was coconut milk or cream of coconut, because the drink had a very light creamy consistency. Honestly, I'm still thinking about this drink. My husband said it tasted strong which surprised me because it didn't to me, but halfway through, I was feeling it. I loved this drink so much. It also came in a funny torso shaped glass. For food, we ordered my daughter the cheese quesadilla, my husband the beef burrito, and I ordered the Vampiro - a fried tortilla with meat, cilantro, onions. My husband said his burrito was good but that it was too much cheese. It essentially tasted like a cheese burrito. Similarly, our daughter's cheese quesadilla was so THICK that we thought she mistakenly got chicken. Turns out it was an enormous amount of cheese, but I tasted it and it was also sooo flavorful. The Vampiro I ordered tasted so good. It was different from what I've usually had in Mexican restaurants but was sort of "lighter" in some ways even though the tortilla was fried. This has a ton of flavor too. I ordered two, and they were $4.50 each, so not bad. (The food came super, super fast). I forgot to mention we were given chips when we arrived. There was a caddy of 8 sauces to choose from, spicy and mild. I tried the very spiciest, Salsa Chile de Vincent's, and this did have some spice but not too much. The Salsa Asada was the second spiciest but not spicy for me. Salsa Chilango had another flavor in it that I couldn't quite narrow down but it was a little creamy and super flavorful. And the Salsa Asada had a Smokey flavor. Regardless, it was a great collection to choose from. We ordered the churros for dessert with dulce de leche to dip them in and also Nutella. These are probably the best churros we've had. They were super sugary and so delicious. The place is small but with a fun, pink, neon aesthetic. The bathroom was clean and beautiful. (Don't be deterred by the sign at the doorway saying no public restroom - that just means for non-patrons. This little restaurant was such a fun surprise and definitely somewhere I'll go again.
