Absolutely delicious. Fresh. Efficient and friendly service! Nice music. This could easily become my neighborhood favorite if I lived in the area.

Came to this place to have a quick lunch. Place is small nice and clean. Service was by a young lady who could take care of our table and another that also had people. Her service was quite good. We had ceviche to begin with and it was on the good side, fresh and well seasoned. I also had the parijuela soup that was good and large. It can easily be a main course... just ask to add some more fish or seafood and that's it.... I thought it was not going to be enough, so I ordered a grilled Mahi Mahi with salad that was also quite good. There is ample parking space outside as it is located in a street mall... Nothing fancy and good.

This is a fairly small restaurant (8 small tables), but clean and has great food. Menu is also small, but has the most traditional Peruvian dishes and a few creative combinations using Peruvian spices that are very tasty, like their fettuccine huancaina and fettuccine pesto. Their ceviche is one of my favorites, especially because this is the creamy type which is full of flavor. They also serve wine and Peruvian beers, in addition to traditional "chicha morada" (purple corn soft drink). This location is off Sheridan Street, in the back of the plaza and their sign only says CEVICHE, not the full name of the restaurant. I have suggested to the owner to add a few other side dishes like Peruvian tamales which go great with ceviche, so hopefully they will be added soon. This place is definitely worth a try. Cheers!

Carlos was a wonderful server we arrived at 3:45 pm which was perfect. By 5:00pm the restaurant was packed. He was very helpful regarding the items we had questions on and the leche de tigre & ceviche were very tasty. He suggested the lomo chufa and we ate all of it!! The cusquena & pilsner were on point with our food. Overall, a wonderful new experience and we will be back. Fyi, when i called to see if they were open they answered on the 2nd ring and when we were dining i witnessed the phone being answered right away. Futhermore, we enjoyed the music and it wasn't loud as stated by other comments on yelp

We had an hour for work lunch, ordered Pollo Broaster & Anticucho w/pancita. Flavors were alright. Not great. Presentation for Pollo Broaster was very simple on a sort of soup bowl. (The dish was not inviting) We ordered water, it had a taste and smell as if it was placed inside a dirty refrigerator. We didn't finished it. It took almost an 40 minutes for both dishes to arrive. The place is small but seemed clean. Not my choice for going back. Maybe i'll try ceviche if i ever happen to pass by again.

Small unassuming Peruvian restaurant close to home. Note: portions are on the regular to maybe small side depending on how much you eat. Menu has some interesting combinations like: lomo saltado con tallarines en salsa de pesto (spaghetti in pesto sauce and beef Peruvian style): very tasty. I ordered the leche de tigre (ceviche that is marinated in super acid liquid) as an appetizer, and it was delicious! Just a tad bit salty at the end but then again, I was drinking the liquid (jejejeje). Then we ordered a regular lomo saltado and a lomo saltado con tallarines y salsa de pesto. Everything was delicious and if there was one thing we did mention was that we would've liked a few more slices of the beef. But other than that, the rice was cooked nicely, the lomo saltado didn't come out tasting like pure soy sauce like it sometimes does in other places. Finally, for dessert, we ordered churros that came stuffed with dulce de leche. Yummy but be warned: you may burn your mouth cause they come out freshly made. Service was nice. The waitress was friendly and came back to check on how we were doing a few minutes after each plate came out. We are definitely coming back to try out their other offering and since they are close, maybe order take out too

The restaurant is small in size but very neat and clean! When we arrived we were told the main chef wasn't there, so the menu was limited a bit and we had alter our dishes BUT the food was delicious! my family and I left happy and content. Our server was attentive and friendly! We hope to go back soon to experience the food with the main chef!

Rhe sides to my lomo saltado.

We've seen their sign for a couple of years now on Federal heading north between Hollywood and…read moreSheridan. The name never landed with us as it sounded like a standalone food court. It was the sign underneath that read, "Too tired to cook today?" that made us take notice. Looking at the online menu we found that it was not only a who's who of Latin dishes of different nationalities, but they also served bar fare - chicken wings, burgers, quesadillas, etc. Not knowing what their specialty was, we never committed to it. But today was one of those days where we felt like something different and we took a chance. The gamble paid off big. The menu was all over the place, so not knowing what direction to go in, I addressed the waiter who was all too ready to help. He pointed me to some of his faves: the Bandeja Paisa, Lomo Saltado, and Ropa Vieja. I'd had my eye on the Lomo Saltado, a popular Peruvian stir fry dish. The Bandeja Paisa is Colombian, and the Ropa Vieja - Cuban. I asked him what the nationality of the ownership was, when he revealed it was Colombian. I was immediately skeptical of ordering the ropa vieja - being half Cuban, I could not fathom the idea of a Colombian-owned restaurant pulling this off. So Joe took one for the team there. The waiter assured me that everything he has tried has in fact been delectable. But hey, what else is he supposed to say? But no, he assured me these were not marketing words, but words of experience. So I went for the Lomo Saltado which was served with black beans and rice, and french fries. He didn't hesitate to vouch for the black beans... I think he sensed my Colombian skepticism. Joe had replaced his fries for sweet plantains, so I took his cue and substituted my fries for tostones. But, not before warning the waiter that I would be particularly particular about the quality of my favorite plantain dish. He gave me a confident nod - so I played along. Joe's dish came out a few seconds before mine, and being the impatient carnivore that I am, I (let's say borrowed) his ropa vieja before he had a chance to pick up his fork. I was very pleasantly surprised. On par with any old clothes I have tried at any Cuban restaurant... and even better than some, albeit in longer strands than I've experienced. However, extremely juicy, full of flavor and tender. Then came my Lomo. I'm a first-timer, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was fan-tastic. A bit charred outside with a juicy medium innard that cuts like butter, and to my relief, deceivingly tender. The lomo napped on a bed of sautée-charred veggies whose sweetness was a nicely balanced contrast to the savory meat. The black beans were definitely on point and seasoned with Colombian love. And those ten-ton-tostones!!! By far the thickest fried medallions I've had, but with a brutally loud crunch and still a real easy chew. And unlike John Travolta in a black T-Bird jacket, totally Greaseless. Often times, tostones of this variety are tough and as chewable as week-old yellow paper mache. Nope, these are some of the best tostones I've had in a couple of years. But by far the best of their kind. I also borrowed one of Joe's sweet plantations which once again left no trace of greased lightning and were rendered a perfect dark brown with a nice and plush sunshine yellow inside. The portions were more than generous and the price was comfortably modest. I expressed my deepest gratitude to our waiter for his patience and his spot on recommendations. He also swore by their burger which he had just sampled for the first time and which is made partly with Colombian chorizo and served with a side of chimichurri. Chorizo and chimichurri for little cha-ching.... I'm sure I'll be chowing on that real soon. Food Corner is a cornucopia of Latin influences, and so far, it's also a master of two of them. (We were too excited to take photos)

The corn empanadas were surprisingly a little spicy, but delicious. The mac and cheese came in a skillet with tajin breadcrumbs, and was super creamy and delicious. The elote was probably my favorite. You can't beat truffle! I also especially loved the yuca that came with the beef. The drinks were super strong. After about a drink and a half (the hibiscus margarita and the Mexican mojito), I found myself needing to probably cut myself off. We sat at the bar, and the server who helped us was really nice. We were told to sit anywhere, which was fine, but then we ordered 2 waters and a passion fruit margarita and waited almost 30 minutes just to get them. On top of that, the drink order was wrong. She served us what tasted like salty mango juice -- and I say "juice" because there was absolutely no alcohol in it. Then we ordered a simple meal: a few chicken tacos, pork tacos, and an order of chicharrón. Somehow that still took 30-45 minutes, and the order was missing items when it finally arrived. That's crazy for an order of 4 chicken tacos and 4 pork tacos. The tacos honestly weren't even that good either. The only thing that was actually good was the chicharrón. People always say "good food takes time," and sure, that's understandable when a restaurant is busy. But this place wasn't even halfway full. There were plenty of open tables inside and outside, so the wait made no sense -- especially considering the food wasn't worth it.

We moved to Georgia about a year and a half ago, which was a great move for us and we have truly loved our new home and hood, but the only thing we don't have in our new area is good Argentinian food. That's why when we got to town, we knew we were going to look specifically for a good churrasco. We discovered Alta Vaca Grill on Yelp near our airbnb and had it on our first night. Normally, hubby and I would split a steak but on this visit we each got our own and cleaned our plates. Alta Vaca definitely hit the spot! We each had a churrasco cooked medium with fries for me and rice for my husband. Every bite was music to my tastebuds! We loved it so much that when making dinner plans with friends a couple days later and the night before our flight back home, we knew we wanted to return to Alta Vaca one last time before leaving. I made a reservation for 8 and I'm glad I did because the space inside is somewhat limited and they were slammed. Despite the place being jam packed and us being a large party, our server was incredible as was their entire staff. Our food came quickly and tasted just as divine as the first visit. I ordered the churrasco again but this time with potato salad instead of fries. I asked if the potato salad was vinegary because I tend to be picky about those, but I was assured that if I didn't like it, I could switch it to something else after. This was great to know but not necessary as I ended up loving it along with the delicious steak. I savored every bite and lamented at the fact that I could not take the whole place home with me as I was not ready to let go. If we had Alta Vaca Grill near our new home, I would be there at least weekly without question. Amazing service with mouthwatering food and reasonable prices makes this an easy 5-star rating in my book. If we are ever in the area again, returning will be high on the priority list. If you are lucky enough to live nearby and haven't tried them yet, I suggest you run, not walk there, sooner rather than later because you will not be disappointed.
