Dropped out trailer off to repair damage and fix some other issues. Don was really professional and provided regular updates to me. He was honest right away that many parts were on back order, but we weren't in a hurry to get the trailer back so it wasn't a problem. Would definitely come back. read more

I found an ad they posted on RVTrader.com. Their post had an RV that was 15% / $10k above the market rate, but in their post it said to call in to "CALL FOR SPECIAL PRICING!" I called in and spoke to one of their sales reps, David. David told me I had to give him my name and number before he can give me their "special pricing." Being that my phone is bombarded with telemarketers on a daily basis, I told him I was just interested in getting their price. After some back and forth, David said to me, "I don't want you as a customer any way, so go buy this RV from someone else. How about that?!?!" and then he hung up. RUDE...David had to be one of the worst sales reps I've ever interacted with. I would HIGHLY advise that you do not work with David as a sales rep!!!! I called back and spoke to their sales manager, Chris to let him know that their sale reps were telling customers that they don't want them as customers and to go buy an RV from one of their competitors and hang up on them. Chris told me that they sell 80-100 RVs a month and David is one of their best sales reps. Chris seemed more interested in defending their "best sale rep's" rude and unacceptable behavior than addressing a problematic employee. I came to Yelp to see if others were experiencing the same mistreatment from this dealership and it appears that I'm not the only one. What a shame! read more

They have had our airstream for over 6 weeks and are still telling us they are waiting on parts!&@?#%! No sense of urgency or customer concern, in fact, the only time we hear from them is when we call them. I would not trust them again unless this situation should change. read more

We bought a Class C from them in January and the sales staff was very knowledgeable and took a great deal of time explaining the operation of and styles of vehicles available. The dealer prep of the vehicle was excellent. During our first trip we had a small problem with the water heater, but a short phone call to Wayne, the service manager, solved the problem. Very happy with the whole buying process at Chilhowee RV. This was our second purchase from them and we highly recommend. read more

We bought our RV in June of 2020 and the purchase experience was great. But now in March of 2021. we needed an oil change and some minor warranty items addressed. We called for a service date pm February 5th and was told there weren't any service dates until April. But after mentioning we are about to "head out" on March 14th, we were told to bring the RV in on March 4th. We actually dropped it off on March 2nd because the 4th would be tough and we had no need to have it until the 12th. We told MK what we need to be addressed and the date we needed it by, March 12th. We were assured that wouldn't be a problem. We called for an update on Monday March 8th and if see over the phione the "look" of a deer caught in headlights. that would be my thoughts on the response. but we were told that Friday the 12th would be no problem. I sensed they hadn't even stat\rted work. Thursday the 11th we called about what time we could pick up the RV the next day, the 12th. and was told that wouldn't be possible because they hadn't started work and didn't anticipate starting due to the heavy work load and only 4 service persons. We contacted 1 of the owners and discussed the problem. I'm sure he applied pressure to the service department and the RV then became "ready" for pick up on Friday March 12th. I won't even discuss the ridiculous charges for warranty work. Buying here is great, but take your RV elsewhere for service. read more

Have been here several times to look at trailers and the guy was nice, finally got a price out of them ... when I told the guy I was a single mom and the new trailers were a little out of my price point that I was looking for maybe something used ... he stopped returning my calls or text.. up too that point he had been johnny on the spot, I told him that I wanted to know about the financing because maybe I could afford it with longer financing .. but he still refused to talk to me .. finally I talk to someone else who was short and rude to me... I don't care what I have to do or how much money I have to spend I would not buy from these guys ever!!! Rude!! read more

I bought my small Coachmen Travel Trailer and have had nothing but issues with it since. MANY leaks, and other issues too numerous to mention. When I pointed out a questionable area that turned into a major issue, the salesman said, "oh that is just normal wear and tear." That normal wear and tear turned into major delamination. As a matter of fact, that area leaked after the FIRST big rain storm. I tried getting help from the dealer after that and even showed them pictures, but customer service after the sale is not good. Maybe it depends on how much you spend on a unit, but relatively speaking as a senior, this was a lot to me and my effort to fulfill an item on my bucket list. Still paying on this little unit, which is even sadder. Beware of this place that turns happy campers into VERY unhappy campers. Shame on them. read more

This is my first ever review of a business. I bought a new Winnebego horizon in October of 2018. The salesman was of course, very accommodating. However,I've found over the last 2 years that the service department is atrocious. I've had appointments for warranty and non warranty work, that when the rv is dropped off, they feel no remorse in telling you that the appointment date is just to drop rv off. Not necessarily to get repairs started. I stopped in today, august 19, to find out when I could get an oil change on the main engine and the generator. I also needed some small warranty work done. I was told that oct 7th was earliest I could get coach in for the warranty work. But no guarantee when they would get to it then. But they would not do the oil services. I said that was unbelievable. This is a 450,000 list price coach. And they won't service it. I'd think twice before I'd ever buy from them again. John, Knoxville, Tennessee read more

Inquired about warranty work on a Dometic awning after their (Dometic) customer service rep recommended this "dealership". Called and talked with the service department and explained the problem with the awning. Even told them I had been referred to them by Dometic. Service said - "If you didn't buy your RV here, then we WON'T work on it - warranty or not!". I explained that I wasn't asking to have my RV serviced, only the Dometic product that came with it. NO, NO, NO was the answer - again you didn't buy it here - too bad. Guess they are to busy trying to keep the stick built junk they sell repaired for those that "bought it there". Stopped at Chilhowee RV Center to look at Class A RVs. Dan Larson, their sales consultant, was very knowledgeable, polite and with no pressure gave me a very informative tour of the vehicles I was interested in, and then one more for comparison. They have an extensive inventory, and with staff like Dan, they can readily answer any questions you have. As I get closer to a purchase, I will return to this shop. read more

We have purchased 2 RV's now at Chilhowee and both times the experience has been better than at other dealers. The first camper was your typical "first" camper yet they still treated us like someone buying a large class a camper. Our most recent purchase was a new "leftover" model and again were treated more than fair. We have had to have some service work done on the new camper (as expected with a new RV) and they have been easy to work with. I can call and make an appointment, and drop off anytime before that. If they are able to work it in before the appointment they will. They have stayed late for me to pick my camper up, found and fixed issues I was not aware of, and been a great voice for me with the manufacturer. There is a reason they have been in business so long, quality people who treat you well. read more

A water leak in my motor coach necessitated the replacement of the flooring in the dining slide-out and galley area. This is a major repair. I sought bids from three local RV dealership bodyshops. The scope of work was much the same on two of the bodyshops, the 3rd one was nearly an additional $4000.00 for work on areas that was suspected to also have water damage. I selected Chilhowee RV to do the job. Their hourly shop rate was $5 more than the other two bodyshops but the confidence I gained from lengthy discussions with shop manager Don Davis about their experience and focus on craftsmanship sold me on their facility. Twice during the repair work I visited the shop. Both times the techs doing the work were pleased to show the work completed and explained about work yet to be done. The work was completed earlier than expected and under budget. Don explained that some of the areas expected to require work didn't need it. My wife and I are both extremely pleased with the quality of work Don and his crew performed. The work they did makes our unit look showroom new. Every aspect of our contact and communication with Don Davis and his team was professional and genuine. read more

When we bought our motor home from them back a few years ago service was great. They have been less than that in recent attempts at service. Bought an extended warranty at the time we purchased the motor home. The service Manager now seems like he could care less about customers. When we bought the unit and the extended warranty we were told we would get priority service. We did the first couple of years. But since getting service has been less than that. Called in the first week of Sept. and told them about a problem. Wayne the service manager said well I can not get you in until the late to middle of Oct. Over 45 days. Told him we needed the repair by the end of Sept. because our daughter was having a baby and we had to make a trip the 1st of Oct. he could care less and said all the dealers and repair shops were backed up. Well they maybe, but we found two other shops willing to work us in. Both said it was a small problem and a quick fix when I explained the problem over the phone. We are planning on buying a new unit later this year. I think we will look at other dealers that care about customers. read more

I had taken my rv in for some warranty repair. It's a small teardrop trailer with a rooftop tent stored in the back. Chilhowee RV was going to repair a latch on the back of my camper (which they did somewhat sloppily). When they slid the roof top tent out of the back of the camper, they tore a hole in the waterproof cover of the tent. I went through their process politely sticking to what they requested I provide (photos, VIN numbers, documentation of the damage etc). After some time, I got a bounce back email from them stating that their email was no longer in service. I called them, and they informed me that the person I was speaking with was longer employed there. Instead of having a system in place to deal with his emails, I just got no response for some time. I dealt with that no problem. It happens. A week or so later after requesting more photos and documentation (again not a problem, I imagine there is a process to get something like this covered from their insurance company), I was told that they wouldn't be replacing the cover on this tent ($135). Essentially, they have told me that I'm lying about damaging it myself. The trouble and time that I spent getting them what they needed was probably worth more in my time than $135 anyway, but it's the principle. I wouldn't recommend to ANYONE to use them for a repair, as they will NOT be responsible for damage that THEY cause. Never again Chilhowee RV. I'd love for them to see this, and re-think this transaction. I'd surely rate them higher if they decided to make this right. read more

By pass these guys and save yourself a poor buying experience. The salesman was so unprofessional. Constantly telling me he doesn't make much money on these types of campers. The dealership doesn't make money on these small campers. Spent the first 30 minutes trying to sell me the wrong camper. Then couldn't find the one I came to look at. Had very little product knowledge. Used the typical old used car salesman lines hoping I was an idiot. The didn't want to sell me the options I wanted because nobody buys those options. Then my trade title wasn't valid. Even though my 500 doc fee was paid I had to run and prove my title was good. The list goes on and on. If I wasn't certain I wanted that camper I would have gone elsewhere. The plus was the service tech was great on my walk through. What a bunch of idiots! They do business in spite of themselves. Walk away before they disappoint you on your purchase. read more
