I am basing this review solely off the one time I have stopped in and I didn't get anything to eat. My husband and I sat at the bar and had a few cocktails and that was it. We sat down and I noticed the bar was pretty empty. Pretty odd for a Saturday afternoon. We were greeted by Athena. She is super sweet and quick with service. Both the waiters I had were very, very nice and attentive - this time around when I try the triple dipper it was actually VERY delicious.( or just hitting the spot idk) The Nashville hot mozzarella sticks are truly worth the hype. I personally don't like the sliders, but I know everyone else has tried them do which is interesting but I like the spring rolls they have as well as the sauce the green sauce that comes with. From the very start of our visit, service felt rushed. My mom, who was watching my brother's 10-month-old daughter, had to ask three separate times for a high chair. Each time, the staff said they'd bring one but forgot. After the third request, my niece accidentally spilled my mom's water. The server finally brought a high chair and quickly wiped the spill with a dirty rag but never came back to clean or dry the floor properly. When we finished dinner and started to leave, my mom slipped on that same wet spot and fell hard, breaking dishes and spilling leftovers. What shocked me most was that no one came to help--I had to pick her up amid the broken dishes myself (my dad is a disabled vet). When staff finally arrived, there was no apology or concern for her safety. We've always enjoyed Chili's, but this experience was really disappointing and unsafe. First time at this Chili's restaurant. My wife and I stopped in for lunch after running errands at Southlands. Service was spot on. We started with the chips and salsa. The chips were thin, crispy, and hot, and very delicious. The salsa was average and could benefit from being spiced up a bit. My wife had the Old Fashioned burger with fries. The burger tasted beefy and the bun held up thought the meal. The fries were tasty. I had the Grilled Chicken Santa Fe salad with shrimp. The salad was fresh and tasty. The grilled chicken was good, but the shrimp was the star. Kudos to the chef as the shrimp were cooked perfectly! The place was clean but a bit loud for my likes. Came in for the 10.99 Lunch deal... Waited 15 minutes for a server to come by... while a couple seated after us were served immediately. My parter decided to go with the new bacon burger rather than do the deal. Being vegetarian, I looked for a veggie option within their lunch deal... and found none! So, I opted to get their Sante Fe black bean burger. This meant we had to pay for the chips n'salsa and our drinks which comes with the 10.99 deal. This made for a very expensive lunch - twice what one would pay for the deal! Nonetheless, the bugers were good, of reasonable size and came with a healthy portion of fries. We both had to get to go containers and were able to take a new bag of chips and cup of salsa with us. The food was hot and burgers were tasty. Our waiter was very helpful. While I liked the food, it's dfinitely not worth buying food ala carte. I would recommend going with the 10.99 deal and getting a rewards account to make the meal cost effective. The people working at this Chili's made our visit so enjoyable. First, we were meeting some friends and the lady at the hostess stand helped us look for them. She then, along with I believe the manager, helped us get them in as it was a slick, cold day and there were some mobility concerns. From there the hostess offered to keep flowers for us so we could eat and made sure we didn't forget them at the end. After we got done with our meal and had paid, the manager (I later learned his name is Terry) brought over a molten cake with 4 spoons for us all to share commenting that we couldn't have a celebration without cake. This was one of those days that makes you believe there are just some really thoughtful people in the world. Southlands is a middle place for us to meet some friends and we'll definitely be coming back to this Chilis for those meet ups going forward. read more

Believe it or not but this is the first time I had ever been to a Chili's restaurant! It reminds me a lot of a Red Robin or an Applebees. The atmosphere is very similar. However the food is vastly different. A lot more bbq and tex-mex options here. Specifically for this location, it was actually quite busy! We came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30. We had to wait for only a couple of minutes and then we were seated. Our waiter was excellent...right on top of everything and was patient with us while we looked thru the menu for a while. We ended up ordering the margarita flat bread, bacon ranch quesadillas and the avocado chicken club sandwich. I also ordered a blackberry iced tea which was absolutely fantastic. Never had anything like it before. They have a mango iced tea as well which I'd like to try next time. In any case I liked that our appetizer came out before the food did which was great. The appetizer had an interesting flavor but was enjoyable. Our food came out right after we finished the app...perfect timing. We ended up eating about half and saving the rest for dinner. Our waiter also brought out another full blackberry iced tea which was awesome. Didn't have to ask. I ended up taking it home in a to go cup. My most recent visit here was January 4th and my mom and I will more than likely not be returning to this location. We beat the crowd and were able to walk into the bar and grab a table. Our server greeted us and took our drink order right away. It was disappointing to know that Chili's doesn't serve Sangria, yet they serve wine. So we both just got waters. When we ordered our food I got the Mushroom Swiss Burger with fries and my mom got the Oldtimer with cheese and fries as well. My mom is gluten free and has Celiac disease so she ordered her burger with no bun. At one point right after the server took our order, we wanted to change our orders but it was too late so he brought us some chips and salsa on the house which was very nice of him. Once our food came out my mom's burger had the bun on it and both of our sides of fries looked really poor and old. The burgers weren't terrible looking, nor did they taste bad. We were both so hungry though that my mom just took the bun off and scraped any remaining pieces of the bread off her burger and ate it. It is unfortunate that we had to settle for such poor food, as we were both just ready to eat and hadn't eaten much all day. This reminded us that we will not be returning to this location or any other Chili's in the future. Me and my family love this restaurant. We used to go here very often knowing it's kinda close to our household. -Service- The service here is honestly some of the best I've seen. They all work very hard here. We used to go here is much that the server we normally get knows what we get to drink and eat. I love that he knows us and he treats us like friends. -Food- All there food here is decently priced and pretty good. I love the triple dipper with Big mouth bites, and the cheddar bites. We have had a few mistakes in the kitchen and sometimes it comes out weird/wrong, but they always make it up. -Wait Times- This chili's is located in a very busy area, in a mall. The amount of people that go in this place is always handled very well and quickly. I rarely see a wait at the front door, the bar is open seating and there is pretty much always a open table. - Other - The bar has TVs that you can see lots of games. We love to watch the football games at chili's. Place is pretty nicely decorated, and some creative things inside.
