We ended up waiting about 10 minutes for a table, but honestly, just getting out of the heat and into the air conditioning felt like heaven. I wish I could remember our waitress's name because she was fantastic. We never had to ask for more chips, salsa, or drink refills--she stayed on top of everything and provided excellent service throughout our meal. After looking over the menu, I ordered the steak burrito, and my husband chose the Comida Deluxe Combo. We made the rookie mistake of filling up on their delicious chips and salsa, so we ended up taking most of our meals home for lunch the next day. The food arrived piping hot and packed with flavor. Great service! We came for early dinner/late lunch on a Saturday, and had a great experience. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was great, as expected for a chain Tex Mex restaurant. We got the complimentary chips, salsa and jalapeno dip, and we ordered queso to share. I love getting their quesadillas or sharing fajitas for an entree. The steak quesadilla was great here, definitely big enough to share! You get 4 small quesadillas in one order. It's a good spot for large groups. Easy to order online and affordable however for our pick up to go order the kids bean and cheese burrito was not available. Our text said to arrive and we got there minutes before texting our spot. We then had to sit for 20 mins past our eta pick up and called the number on the sign. A man was so respectful and kind on the phone. He stated they were backed but and asked for our spot number again and then immediately ran the food out. You could not feel the heat through the bag and all the food was lukewarm. Tasty restaurant in the DTC area (off Arapahoe and west of I25). The chips and salsa were great, as was the queso with spicy beef. I had the fajita beef burrito smothered with Hatch green chili and devoured it! My son had the same and although he thought the green chili was a little too spicy for him, he still ate his meal and didn't leave much. Friendly service, table was clean, and the prices were as I'd expect at a place like this. Parking is not an issue and I had no wait (Saturday night around 7:45PM). read more

Hello to I entered the Togo area of the chuys today by 4:45 PM for it to go order . I was greeted in seconds by Aaliyah . I was able to sit at the bar and wait for my food until it came out which I was greeted by the bartenders who are very polite and offered me chips, water and a margarita. The Togo woman Aaliyah who was so great ! Fast and professional and and manager Steven ball were wonderful and had great menu knowledge. Our server was very friendly and outgoing and willing to go to all lengths to ensure that our visit was going to be a memorable one. An extra star in my review goes directly to her from saving us from having an average or below average rating. My order consisted of a dish that has a really long name but for the sake of this review, Ill just call it The Elvis. Its a enchilada with seasoned ground beef smothered in Tex-Mex Sauce, a chicken enchilada covered with Tomatillo Sauce, and a cheese enchilada with Ranchero Sauce, you also get a crispy taco with homemade tostada chips that includes a side of queso for dipping all served with Mexican rice and refried beans. Came to Chuy's after work. It was pretty busy for a Thursday evening. We tried the Happy Hour, it wasn't anything special. Only $2 off margaritas and $1 off beers and $5 queso. I liked the margarita and the queso with chips. We also ordered the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo, had enchiladas , beans and rice, with a side of taco . Food pretty good for a chain restaurant. Server was very nice, we sat at the bar. We appreciated how attentive she was and gave us chips refill without asking. I think only thing I didn't like was the bathrooms weren't very clean. Chuy's is a great place to go eat out. It certainly scratches that itch for restaurant-style Mexican/Tex Mex and the environment is very easy-going and casual. What stands out to me is that despite it being a chain, the food is very fresh. Honestly you'd be hard-pressed to find food this fresh at any of the run-of-the-mill Mexican places in the area. The table salsa is one to remember, with fresh-cut tomatoes, fresh chilis, full of flavor, and spicy. The chips are also warm when they come out, freshly made. The margaritas are delicious and satisfying with fresh lime juice and a large variety of flavors. The guac is creamy and delightful. The steak in the steak burrito tasted like actual steak right off the grill. The rice and beans that come with the entrees are also really good, not your typical dry rice and beans, they're actually really delicious. I thought the service was also very good. They're constantly walking around refilling your chips and salsa and checking if you'd like another drink. The place is also VERY family friendly, it's a great place to bring the whole family. I don't understand the Elvis thing they have going on in there though. The prices are definitely on the high side, but that's justified given the high quality of the food. I see myself coming back here often, as I can't think of any other real Tex Mex style place that's better. I can't really think of any Mexican place around in general that's better. read more

We're originally from Texas, so for my husband's birthday this year he wanted to go to Chuys as we haven't been since we moved to CO. It's also very kid friendly and with a new baby we decided it would be better than where we would have previously chosen to go pre- baby :) I got the Mexican martini which is my favorite bc it comes in the shaker and isn't overly sweet. Then for my meal I had the tacos al carbon and my husband had the Tex Mex burrito bowl. We also got a side of jalapeño ranch for the table bc it's honestly one of the best parts about going to Chuys. Chuy's isn't our go-to Mexican restaurant, but since we were going to a movie at a nearby theater after dinner, it seemed the right choice. FOOD: Chips were thin and crispy. Two bowls of dip, a vaguely ranchy thing and a fresh, watery salsa with a bit of bite. We both had different chimmies, and they were good. DRINK: The house marg was okay -- a citric acid bite to it from the mix. The skinny marg was sweeter, and quite tasty. SERVICE: Service was very friendly, pretty timely, quite responsive, and (looking around the dining room) utterly mask-less. AMBIANCE: Loud. Crowded. We were able to walk in on a Friday at 6 pm and get a four-top (with two people) right away. But there were plenty of (maskless) people waiting. OVERALL: A decent meal and drink. We were a little rushed on time (the entrees took a loooong time to come out), but our waiter expedited our bill. We were both more disturbed by the maskless staff. We'll be back ... but maybe not until the pandemic has made things a bit safer. read more

Came here for lunch on a Sunday with some friends on a Sunday. When we walked in it wasn't too busy and sat immediately. We reviewed the menu and with a short wait the server came over to take our order. I ordered the Chicken Chimichanga (dry, no sauce) which was pretty good. Meh. Back in some parts of Texas, Chuy's is associated with really good TexMex. Where we lived, we had several local spots that were so much better. Since moving to Castle Rock, we've had a hard time finding anything that was comparable to good food. So we figured we'd give Chuy's a try. It's real TexMex, so it's got to be better, right?!? Well, not exactly. First, I'll say that our server, Raine, was prompt, friendly, fairly responsive, and very nice. Chips came out quick. The salsa is way too much chopped tomato, but the creamy jalapeño dressing for dipping was delicious. We all got the combo fajitas. The first major snafu was when we were told a little while later that they were out of rice. How does a TexMex place run out of rice?!?! Two of us substituted a side of grilled vegetables...zucchini, squash, other peppers, and apparently corn. My wife, who doesn't like that stuff, just chose extra fajita veggies....onions and green peppers. Well, when the orders came, we all got the grilled vegetables, and they were mixed in with the standard fajita vegetables, under the meat. My wife wasn't happy because the way everything was mixed in, it basically made the veggies inedible. Also, since they decided to do our plates the same, they left the beans off my plate as well since my wife and daughter had asked for double rice. Serving sizes were inconsistent, as my wife got a lot more meat than the other two of us. A little jealous at first, I then didn't mind too much because the meat, especially the beef, wasn't that good. All in all, 20 miles to go for mediocre TexMex. Likely won't be in a big hurry to go back, although maybe the classic Chuychanga would be better. read more
