Went for a late dinner (9:30) on a Saturday night. The place was pretty empty, which would make us think the service would be great. However, when we walked in to be seated no one was in the front to greet us and seat us. The bartender just looked at us and quickly shuffled away to make herself look busy. We waited for a few minutes before we were seated, which wasn't horrible but still surprising giving the emptiness of the restaurant. Once we were seated our waiter took our orders and got our drinks quickly. I have no complaints about the food, everything hit the spot especially the appetizers! We also had delays in drink refills which can be slightly frustrating. All in all my review has more to do with the service than the food. read more

We showed up on Friday night, about 6.45pm and it was kinda busy, one guy at the door, trying to do it all and then another guy finally came by to help him out. I say kinda busy because the tables were rotating quickly and by 7.30pm there were quite a few empty. We waited probably 10 minutes just to check in, then another 15 or so to be seated. Our server was nice but the food came out surprisingly slow. We had onion petals to start. Then I had steak and shrimp fajitas and my hubby had ribs. We also understood that we would need to split up our party into two groups/tables. What we did NOT realize is that the manager Dan Santiago would NOT let us speak to our children at the other table! Chili's is Chili's so there's not a lot you can say about it. Typically I get food to go, and they're pretty fast at making take-out, and it usually doesn't take too long to pay once you get there. The food has always been good, though they often forget sides that are asked for (particularly anytime I ask for a side of BBQ sauce for some reason). I saved some money using the mobile app GREAT! They had a special parking space close to the pick up door GREAT! My order was ready when they said it would be ready GREAT! When I got to my destination and was ready to eat, it tasted just like it would if I would have stayed to eat, GREAT! Great service here, very busy on Saturday night. We were told the wait time was 25 minutes so we sat at an open table at the bar, they didn't give us this as an option but we just decided to sit to wait since all the benches were filled. A waitress ended up coming by and telling us she would be happy to serve us so we ended up not waiting at all! I got one of the new smothered burritos with rib meat, very good! I love chili's, this one not so much!!! The service when we went was horrible. My son wanted to go there for his 10th birthday last night. My son and his sister order off the 2 for $25 menu, his sister ordered the chicken fajitas. Apparently they have add a spicy southwest sauce to it and it made it way too spicy for my 10 year old daughter. We told the waiter that she was unable to eat it as it was way to spicy (and she Likes spicy food) and no where on the 2 for $25 menu did it say or apply that it was spicy or over spicy. They did offer to replace it but not before the manager made her cry because he made her feel like it was her fault (not cool). Then I understand that it takes time to cook a new plate, but we got our dessert before we got a new meal for her, that we just ended up getting boxed up to go. The server left all the empty glasses and plates (even the fried pickles from the appetizer) on the table, I had to get up and move them to the empty table next to us so we could eat the cake. They knew it was my sons birthday and never offered to sing to him or let us know that they couldn't maybe sue to the covid19 rules, I'm not sure like I said because of no Communication from the server. When the manager come to the table the one and only time, he made my daughter cry like I said, asking her why she didn't she say couldn't have spicy food, when I spoke up and informed him shes likes spicy food but this was Beyond just a little spicy and the menu said nothing about it being overly hot. Chili's has been one of our go-to's during the pandemic, once or twice a month. Normally I would cut them some slack, but not this time. While the food tasted decent, they are having an issue with quality control and portion size. We had a total of 3 adult meals and 3 kids meals. Two of the adult meals were ok, but an order with no onions on the fajitas? (See photo). ALL 3 kids meals had less than a handful of fries each. Our chips and salsa turned into chips, no salsa delivered. I would not complain if this was their free offer, but I paid for it. My wife, her family of twleve, and I, went to the Southlands Mall Chili's. The $5 Margs sparked our interest. We also ordered mostly the "2 for $25". I unfortunately ordered the ribs and everyone else mainly got the mexican chicken breast. When my wife and brother in-in-law got their food, it was cold and had to be sent back to be re-warmed. And the manager did not ask about any one else food experience when he quickly brought the chicken back. If he was interested I would have told him: I believe I had leftover ribs from Valentine's Day the day before! What little meat on the mealy tasteless ribs there where where dried out and crusty. If it weren't for the bit of BBQ Sause it wouldn't have any flavor at all. Now I remember why I don't like going there. read more

I forget how much I hate these places and make the mistake of going back every 5 or 10 years and yesterday was the day. The atmosphere is loud and obnoxious and has TVs to distract you from the people who are important. I don't know if I always get the wrong thing or what, but I think I've only once ever had a tasty meal there once that I thought was worth the money. We were there for lunch and I ordered the chicken fajita lunch. I got a cheese enchalada soup that was only ok. It had a heavy cheese flavor that dominated it and there was no spice to it at all. The chicken fajitas were AWFUL. There was no spice in the cooked chicken. The onions had a BAD flavor to them, heavy of smoke and just not right at all. The green peppers were under-cooked. The plate with the other ingredients had no beans and not nearly enough pico. The waiter was a nice young boy who took good care of us, but the atmosphere and food quality really disappointed me. This is the second time I have been here and have been disappointed. We were seated immediately, which was good and the hostess was very nice. Our server was over right away and took our drink order. Our drinks came right away and we ordered the sampler with sliders, cheese curds, and buffalo chicken tenders. My strawberry lemonade was extremely weak; each time the server brought another, which took a while each time, they were weaker and weaker until they were slightly pink. The appetizer came within a reasonable amount of time. The cheese curds and sliders were good. The Buffalo chicken tenders were small, but good. Overall I didn't feel like it was a good portioned amount for what it cost. My entree of loaded baked potato soup with a side of mac and cheese and my girlfriend's buffalo chicken sandwich arrived quite a while after our appetizer. The soup and mac and cheese were great, no complaints. The Buffalo chicken had almost no sauce on it. The sandwich was good, the chicken juicy, but without sauce it was very bland. This review is for the Southlands location in Aurora, CO. The food was good, however I tried the new chicken enchiladas and wasn't too impressed. It was a lot of good, but the flavor was a little more bland than what I prefer. Our waitress was MIA for most of the meal and seemed to forget we were her table. I don't like that the new table systems allow kids to play games. My son grabbed it up and started playing before I even knew what was happening. Chilis has been one of my families go to spots for years now at least over 8 years . We have constantly been going for their different selections of food ! It's a great family environment . Although I have encountered many bad experiences with my food being incorrect . I have always had to substitute and change things on my dinner options because of allergies and many times it had been wrong.. The wait staff is very generous though.. The change of the menu is for the worst.. Many of the favorite menu items have been taken off .. Potato skins, Philly cheesesteak, chicken Cesar pita .. Those were some of the many delicious items that have been removed . The new items on the menu are just getting greasy and unhealthy .. Not attractive menu options .. After waiting 50 minutes on a 40 minute wait, was told that they were unsure of when they could seat us do to the servers being overwhelmed. However, they had still been seating smaller parties that arrived after us. Also, the previous time we did a Togo order, the portions were very skimpy and the food was overdone. I am sitting here with my family on Mother's Day. I understand that the restaurant is busy but we have been sitting here for an hour and our waitress hasn't checked on us more than once. Other tables who came in after us got food before us. When we attempted to get an update from the waitress about how much longer the food would be, she simply stated "It's been busy" and walked away. She didn't even notice everyone's empty glasses. We had to get a second waitress to get the attention of the manager. When the manager came out, he tersely asked "Do you want your food or not?". He was upset that he was called from the kitchen to address our complaint. After multiple excuses as to the poor service, he eventually apologized as he walked away from the table. I tried to explain that the delay itself wasn't the issue, it was the lack of communication. Needless to say this experience has left a lot to be desired, and this is coming from a Chili's regular. Update: We just overheard our waitress, who has still yet to come back and check on us, tell another table that our request for a manager is what caused the delay. Apparently now, Chili's shames customers for asking to speak for a manager. Not only is that statement incorrect, it further shows the lack of professionalism. The manager took care of the food portion of the bill, which was appreciated. Ultimately, we had no issue paying for the food. I just wished the whole situation had been handled better. read more

When we first approached the restaurant the managers were holding the doors to greet their customers. I thought this was a nice welcome mat. We arrived at our table and the waitress was very nice. The wait staff was very punctual for service. We received our drinks quickly. We placed our food order as it also arrived very quickly. We ordered an nachos and asked for extra guacamole. Unfortunately the kitchen only placed a dab on the plate. So I told the waitress and she adjusted the bill because I was charged for the second add on guacamole. Tonight I was in there with my family and after we were seated we were completely ignored. We waited for 20 minutes and nobody ever came to check on us. Not even a pop by to tell us they were slammed and would be with us soon. It was a Saturday, but it wasn't terribly busy. We had little kids with us so we couldn't turn this into an all night dinner. What you may have typed in online is definitely not what you'll receive. The last 3 to go orders I have ordered for family has been wrong. Just tonight, food was 20 minutes past wait time. Thanks for the extra scoop of ice cream after I already paid for extra scoops. 2 people came back in missing items from their orders while I was waiting. The queso fresco salad is missing the queso and had the wrong dressing. The burger had sauce when it wasn't supposed to, and was cold. Our side of lettuce for the burger had the other veggies-which we are allergic to- simply pulled back out. How do I know? The tomato seeds on the lettuce gave it away. Chili's- you suck. GNO means margaritas!! The Presidente is always a favorite, however they have a handful of excellent choices including a new margarita of the month. We each had a different one: the Presidente, the El Nino, and the Watermelon. They were all delicious and none of them were overly sweet. Our waiter was excellent. He was funny, personable, and kind. He was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to provide suggestions. The food was, as usual, great. Our food arrived quickly after we ordered and was flavorful and satisfying. read more

The outside of the restaurant had trash everywhere. We went there lunch at 11:00am. The bartender was excellent. The waitstaff was something else. Waitstaff were eating over the counter where the food is ready for serving the guests. They would play with their hair, put their fingers in their mouths, be on their cell phones, etc... The bartender would prepare the drinks and the waitstaff was not prompt in delivering the drinks. Drinks were returned to the bar. In addition, Our french fries were not crisp or hot and neither were the onion rings. We will not be back. read more
