Walked into the bar for a quick bite on the way home from Brianhead. After 15 minutes of waiting the female bartender came back and said my Real ID wouldn't scan. I then gave her my Global Entry card that you can use to go through TSA AND get back in the country from vacation elsewhere without going through regular screening. Then my USA Passport card. Apparently none of these were good enough for a 55 year old man to eat at the bar. I'll also be calling the manager to complain. To make matters worse, I went to Applebee's across the street. I gave in to Chilis today as the others in our group blame me for not going there because I caused a scene last time due to a dumb fry cook mentality that could not cook a great rib eye medium rare instead of well done in three trys. My wife told me to not make a scene this time. I have had a rib rack many times and always satisfied so I ordered a half rack with mac and cheese and aspargus for sides. The rack was so dryed out from the warmer, probably due to yesterday's product that I had trouble cutting the ribs with the Steak knife. The meat was dry and no texture except stringy. The Asparagus was so over cooked the blossoms could not be cut with a steak knife. The mac & cheese was watery a bit but etible. We came in on a Friday night and was told it would be a Twenty to thirty minute wait. We were seated in less than 10 minutes! That was awesome. James was our waiter. Three years in a row with the same bartender, Tanya. You'd think we hate her by now, but no, she's adorable (that's what she told us)! Loads of fun! First off, the server was awesome. So were the gals the served water. My grandson's little burger and fries were perfect. The fajitas were awful. The chicken looked boiled, not grilled. The bell peppers I got on my plate seemed to be end pieces. . Big large chunks not thin slices. The onions were cooked fine. The rice tasted like old rice-a-roni and was hard and uncooked. My beans were cold. The cheese was the processed kind with with white speckles on it. It seemed I got the bottom of the processed cheese bag. The worst was the margarita.
