My partner had picked this place out as a top place to try in Cedar City and we tried it for dinner. Service was speedy and they checked on us often. Food was delicious and pricey. We had the brisket platter and the sampler. The brisket platter came with two sides and we picked the funeral potatoes and mac n cheese. The brisket was decent and the sampler was the star of the show! The ribs were well done and the pulled pork was exceptional. The brisket for both dishes were very dry and needed to be doused with subtantial amounts of bbq. Overall, brisket platter is not worth it but the sampler is! Service is top tier here! read more

We called in a pick up order this time because they no longer accept orders through their app. You get redirected to their website but the data on the Menu and Online Ordering links differ as to what entrees and sides are still offered. Example: the Menu shows "seasoned" fries as a side and Pork Master as a Sandwich choice. Neither are still offered in Cedar City. The Online Ordering link offers quite a different list of item in comparison to the Menu link, and has very few item descriptions. Just name and price mostly. I had always ordered the Smoked Pulled Pork sandwich but the gal on the phone kept referencing a smaller pork sandwich which I didn't think I ordered but I ended up with an order for the Mini Pork Sandwich being placed for me. It was the size of a hamburger and was good. My husband usually ordered the Pork Master sandwich but that exists only on the incorrect Menu link. He ended up ordering the Smoked Brisket Melt which he said was okay. The differing links also confuse you as to what sides are offered with the entrees. When asked what side I wanted with the Pork Sandwich I was offered with only fries or tots. That was not what I thought I saw in their online order form which showed more options - several new ones and missing some of their previous offerings. I told the gal this and she agreed to give me the mashed potatoes - this time. So that sounds like they are not an option with the Mini Pork sandwich. We both ended up with mashed potatoes as the sides since we'd had poor experiences with how the sides end up after the ride home. The tater tots lose their crunch during the 10 minute ride home and arrive home soggier than you'd get in the restaurant. Pork Belly's in Cedar City had also discontinued the delicious seasoned french fry . Instead they offer plain fries which were disappointing on a prior order. The mashed potatoes needed a little salt (I'm am not a person who salts restaurant food). Maybe they had some garlic in them? They charge a 7% To Go fee. The original owners are long gone and under the new management, my husband is over ordering anything from this Pork Belly's now. Too many of the favorites that kept us coming back are gone and now only exist online in their historic Menu link. TIme to BBQ elsewhere. read more

First time and first night in Cedar City and we tried Pork Belly's. Nice little restaurant. Warmly greeted when we walked in. Medium size restaurant that can handle a group and smaller parties. Nicely decorated. Food was very good. We got the pellets pork melt, 2 different burgers and country fried chicken sandwich. The pulled pork melt was very good! It came on some jalapeño sourdough bread. That was nicely crisped. The pulled pork was good and smoky and you got a good amount. It also had cheese and BBQ sauce. Each bite was BBQ bliss. I also enjoyed their Gold sauce with it. The Mac and cheese was a nice side. The sauce was cheesy and had a subtle heat in the background. Different and Good. The pork burger was a burger with pulled pork on top. That was devoured and given 2 thumbs up. The mountain burger was good, but the horseradish sauce on it does have some kick so be aware of that. My son does not like the spice but we just scraped off and he enjoyed without. 2 patties, bacon and cheese. The country fried chicken was on point and very good. Crispy coating and good sized sandwich. With the toppings was like a great chicken BLT. Everyone working was friendly and helpful. Appreciate that as we came in late on Sunday evening. As a bonus they gave away some free sourdough bread on the way out that was getting close to its best by date. That sourdough is very good! Definitely recommend this for BBQ in Cedar City. read more

I went here for one reason: it's the only restaurant I can find in Southern Utah that actually has funeral potatoes on the menu. (I gather that they're more of a home-cooking thing?) In any case, I'm not Mormon, so I can't evaluate the funeral potatoes' authenticity, but they were definitely tasty--grated potatoes, with cheese, pretty much. The pulled pork and coleslaw were also very good: pulled pork was super flavorful and just the right amount of burnt on the outside, coleslaw was nice and crunchy. read more

Going through Cedar City UT and saw this little place on the side of the road. And boy it did NOT disappoint. My friend got their breakfast of eggs , funeral potatoes and pulled pork. Her plate was FULL! The food was great. I had the pulled pork sandwich. The pork was moist and flavorful, the bread fresh and gift. The BBQ sauce? Perfect. Stopped by Pork Belly's on a road trip to Zion and WOW! We were starving after a long drive and decided to check this place out based on the reviews. So glad we did! Friendly service from the get-go. Our server, Airamee, greeted us right away and was super helpful with menu recommendations.She made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. The burgers are the real stars here. I got the Jacked Up Burger - a juicy 1/3 lb patty loaded with pulled pork, jalapeños,pepper jack cheese, bacon, and two delicious sauces. All on a toasted brioche bun - amazing! My gf got the Blackberry Bourbon Burger, which was equally fantastic. Sweet and savory with blackberry jam, blue cheese, and a hint of bourbon. They don't skimp on the toppings here! The French Fries were unreal. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The Sweet Potato Fries were delicious as well. I don't usually like sweet potato fries, but theirs were incredible - definitely worth a try! This place is a hidden gem! We will absolutely be back next time we're in Cedar City. Ordered the 3 smoked meat BBQ plate. None of the meats on my plate had ever touched a smoker, BBQ pit, or even a grill. None of the meats had any taste of BBQ. After the Kanarra Falls hike, my family and I were starving and yelped the best restaurant nearby.  I found Pork Bellys Eatery and Catering Company as one of the top ten nearby, so we headed on over.   Our server Jin H was friendly and attentive.  She made helpful and great suggestions.  Thanks Jin for the five star Yelp-worthy service.   Large menu selection here. I ordered the Rib Basket for $13.27 and a raspberry ice tea for $2.80.  Rib basket came with 3 Saint Louis style ribs, a side of fries and coleslaw.  You get to choose battered or sweet potato fries, tots or funeral potatoes... Honestly, this was some of the best BBQ we have had in a long time! Certainly a surprise coming from Utah (no shade, Cedar City, just didn't know you had it in you!). We are impressed! The reviews we looked at all seemed to be raving for this place, so we decided to visit on our way to our honeymoon. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. The food was cold arriving to the table, my husband's meal (Beef Eater) barely had any brisket or green chiles on it. We sent it back, and later learned that my potatoes had a string of fabric(?) in it. Our waitress also took that back. (Our waitress was fantastic, Jerusha) Additionally, the other waitress in the restaurant (Electra?) had a HORRIBLE attitude with a larger table coming in an hour before closing ("well we close in about 45 minutes so") okay? Used to be a regular here and won't be returning. This is under new ownership and the menu is changed and prices are higher. They have "Pork" in their name and the previous owners had amazing peppered bacon and brisket. They now serve thin bacon that came out cold. The brisket was over cooked and dry. I know there are a number of reviews talking about the BBQ at this little gem of a restaurant, but, honestly there's a lot more than just BBQ here. I've been eyeing this place for weeks and today i finally made it in. It's Tuesday so their specially for today is the Indian bread taco. The best way I can describe it is like a giant open faced chalupa. The bread is similar to a giant warm pita or nice fluffy pizza dough. It's just the right firmness to hold together the tostada without being too chewy and light to the teeth. It just melts in your mouth. Then they top it off with pinto beans, your choice of meat (I stayed with the original carne asada, which was flavorful), shredded lettuce, sharp cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, chopped onions and chives and on the side was their home made salsa and sour cream. The flavors just pop right off from the first bite. Everything just works perfectly together. The cheese compliments the meats, The meats compliment the bread, the toppings keep things interesting in your mouth as you are eating it. This was one of the best meals I've had in quite awhile. Then I find out their speciality for Wednesday is home made meatloaf and Thursday is prime rib! Guess where I'm eating all week! The atmosphere is great, The staff is professional and friendly, The management here is doing one heck of a great job! And the desserts? Well... maybe tomorrow. But the food is simply incredible. This could have been a three to four star review. I was expecting to make a five star review! We'd been talking about a visit to this place for months, planned as the midway point on the way to a camping trip that was five hours away, and our friends had raved about it for the past year. We were jazzed. The good: My food was fresh and tasty. One friend's salad was also delicious. All of the food came out fast. The owner/manager was kind, and very solicitous to our 83-year old companion. Not good: One friend had the fry bread tacos. Although the smoked meat was luscious, the fry bread was dry and tough, rendering it inedible, so it was just a tough plate that soaked up all the yummy juices. One friend had a burger, and ended up losing it from both ends 20 minutes later in a field beside the road. It was his only meal so far that day, so the burger is definitely suspect. But honestly, I could have ignored those two issues but for the following... Unacceptable: The person who was "taking care" of us was just not nice at all. They were obviously overwhelmed and/or too busy, but chose to treat us like second class citizens, and seemed especially focused on giving eye rolling attitude and poor service to the 83-yo mother of one of our crew. A few examples: Our sweet elderly lady ordered a French Dip. Server asked what side. Lady didn't know she had a choice, and started fumbling with her menu to find it. Server replied with frustration and eye-rolls while hastily tapping the menu -- so disrespectful, and also distracting for an older person. Elderly lady felt offended and wanted to leave. Please consider that the elderly may not always be on top of everything, and the extra minute to more gently explain would have made a world of difference. For all of us. Drinks and unrequested drink refills were slammed on the table loudly and in one case with a splash. It's not necessary to be so rough. When the server brought my food and the lady's food, they passed my food right past the lady's face, leaning across her to set it down in front of me, and almost hitting the lady in the face with my food! Then they immediately slapped the lady's food loudly onto the table in front of her. The sweet 83-yo you treated so disrespectfully is an award winning server from since before most of us were born, was still serving diners as recently as 8 years ago, and has strong opinions about serving etiquette and courtesy. Your peeved and dismissive attitude and lack of customer care were very much noted by us all, and spoiled a much anticipated meal. We won't be back. read more

The kids mac and cheese was a great portion for my 5 and 9 year old! My 9 year old liked to mix the fry sauce (ketchup/mayo) type sauce with extra ketchup. My 11 year old ate all her tacos! She wanted the cilantro and onions and red sauce on side. The meat was ok, needed a bit of moisture so she got some lemon and sour cream and it was good! The cowboy tots was delicious!!! Crispy tots, with a tangy bbq sauce and super soft pulled pork...what more can you ask for!? All-in-all...I'd definitely come back! read more

I came here for breakfast/brunch on a Sunday, and was seated very quickly inside the cute restaurant. This was my first time ever seeing and trying banana bread french toast! I ordered the caramel sauce on the side, and was super glad I did because it was extremely sweet and probably would've overpowered the dish if it had been poured all on top as it does in a standard order. The banana bread was absolutely delicious and paired really well with the fresh whipped cream and bananas. I got scrambled eggs and bacon as part of the combo, both of which were cooked and seasoned perfectly. There were a few other menu items that caught my eye, though I'm not from the area so I'm not sure when the next time I'll be able to try them is. Overall though, I had a great experience! read more

Came here for brunch on our way from Brianhead to Las Vegas. Was happy they were able to accommodate 6 of us in the same table. To our surprise, our server actually told us that we don't have to keep our masks on as its not mandatory there only staff should keep the masks on and we told them we are not from there so they know. They do practice social distancing and tables were far apart. Food were great. My boyfriend and I just shared banana bread pancakes combo and added extra eggs and sausages on the side. Banana bread pancakes tasted just like banana bread. very moist and good. It has little bit too mch syrup. I think if we ever go back, I would have to put syrup on the side. Sausage patties seem like homemade style and they were very tasty. our friends order other stuff and they all liked it too. Service was great and attentive and fast. They all worked as team and not just one server taking care of us. If we ever come back to the same diner in the future, will definitely checked out their other things.
