Do yourself a favor and do not even try to drive to this restaurant. Just trust the 2 stars of the reviews. It's been 2 times that I've gone with my family to eat there and the host takes good 10 min to come to the front area to greet you. We are a family of 4 so not a big group, and even that the restaurant is half-way empty, the waiting time is 45-1hr wait; and while you are trying to decide if you want to wait that long, the host tries their best to convince you not to stay because they make sure to say " Well, it could be longer". This happened both times with different hosts. The second time I even joined the "wait list" in Yelp and when I "checked in" showing my phone she said OHHH THAT DOESNT WORK, IT JUST PUTS YOU AT THE END OF THE LINE..IT WILL BE 1HR OR MORE...I looked around nobody was waiting, restaurant almost empty; so with all that said, I understand most of business are short handed but to me it looks like the workers don't want to work, period. read more

Soooooo, I want to give it a 3 &1/2 but here's what happened. My friend and I came in around 8:30pm after adding ourselves to the que 10 mins prior knowing the wait would be relatively short (12-24mins on the app). We get there and aren't immediately greeted but that's cool because it's a busy Friday night. A nice young lady tells us the wait will be 45 mins!? Huh!? But that it could be less & we're 6th in line even though I checked into the que via mobile. We decide to sit at the bar. We order drinks, they come out pretty fast but my Triple Berry Margarita was more syrup than alcohol, other than the sugar shock, I didn't complain. We ordered and maybe 5-7 mins our food is there. I got the Giacometti's l Guacamole Burger, because duh guacamole. She got the Prime Rib bowl with a sub of shrimp, she's a pescatarian (eats only fish for protein). My burger was yummy & well done though I prefer medium (I'm not mad) but her bowl which included cilantro lime rice & corn salsa had diced bacon (which is a no no). Our server took it away, apologized & got new food stat. I find it weird that the bacon was thrown in & normally shouldn't have been there not hey, it was dealt with quickly & we weren't charged. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!!! I placed an online order for a bowl of soup. Order was confirmed. Arrived at the restaurant and all doors locked. I knocked on the glass door as there were still lots of customers in the restaurant- the servers just passed me without acknowledging me at all. I finally called the restaurant and a young lady said they closed at 9:00 and they were not taking any orders. I said its 10 after and I ordered soup. She hung up the phone. Anytime I am feeling under the weather I always get chicken enchilada soup from here...but I never will again! Do not patronize this establishment- RUDE!!!! Took my grandmother here for lunch today. They team in the bar was great. Your bar tender (woman) greeted us while cleaning tables and then sat us and got waters. Our server Sean came over at just the right time giving us time to discuss but not wait too long. My grandmother was picky so when I ordered and he didn't write anything down I was worried, but he brought it all out perfectly. I even heard him tell a table that he didn't like the way some of their food looked when it came out of the kitchen so he had them remake it. That's a server that cares! Chili's is Chili's, the food is typically always the same so nothing to write home about there. The new Ceaser Salad was good, croutons yummy. There were some bar flies, but that's typical so no complaints there. The biggest thing to me was the service, it was great. read more

Unfortunately, my review is not a positive one. I have never even written a Yelp review before so I am sad that this one will be negative. We just left our local Chili's.....and were never even waited on. We will Not be back. The restaurant was Not very busy (we were there well before 5pm). The table next to us, that came After us was waited on but we were ignored totally. After waiting at least 20 minutes with no one even taking our beverage order, we left. On the way out, in order to give Chili's one last opportunity to redeem themselves, I stopped and calmly and politely told the hostess that we were just going to leave because no one ever came to take our order. Her reply was a cheery, "OK, Bye". Very strange to say the least and very poor customer service. I am posting this Yelp in the hopes that this restaurant will train their employees to exhibit better customer service. This is our home community. There are several reasons why my experience at the Chili's Cedar Hill was terrible let night. I will list the highlights: 1. We ordered drinks which took 20-30 minutes to come to the table. At the same time we ordered drinks, we ordered appetizers. 2.15-20 minutes after the drinks arrived, guacamole was left on the table without chips. Around 10 minutes later, quest was left at the table without chips. According to the servers, it took so long because the quest had to be made. We asked for chips 4-5 times before we finally received chips. The drink and appetizer process alone took about 1 hour. 3. I order Cajun pasta with shrimp. I never mentioned chicken. The server appeared to write it down. About 45 minutes after my order, Cajun pasta came to the table with chicken. When no one claimed the food I told the server our table did have an order of Cajun pasta but it was shrimp, not chicken. My server came out 10 minutes or so after I sent back my plate and asked, "You don't want chicken at all?". I have to assume their plan was to throw shrimp on top of the already made chicken pasta instead of providing the meal I ordered. It took around another 20 minutes to receive my shrimp Cajun pasta. 4. I am not sure if they forgot some orders or were that backed up in the kitchen but we eventually canceled because 2 hours into the dinner, everyone did not have their plates. 5. No one ever refilled drinks. No one asked how the food tasted. No one apologized for the food that we canceled due to the wait time or the orders that were cooked incorrectly. Yes, orders. 6. The ticket process was ridiculous. It took about 15 minutes to split the bill. He returned, collected cards, and by the hesitation in returning the cards we all knew something went wrong. The server claimed he charged the other cards and bills first, but after my card was swiped, it replaced the swipes of the other cards. I now has multiple charges on my debit card for different tickets totaling $100. 7. Marti the Manager receives her very own number for being the worst manager I've ever encountered. She did not apologize for the mistake her team made. She instead brushed it off and stated the money should be there when we close the till at midnight. I asked Marti if she could guarantee this and she said no but if it doesn't return tonight it may take 2-3 business days but I don't know your bank you should call them. I told Marti I was not paying full price for poor service AND my card being charged multiple times preventing me from spending $100 in whatever way I choose. I am a college student. I don't have $100 to blow and that's why the food I ordered for the night did not reflect that sort of bill. Marti continued to try to argue as I told her I don't care what she needed to do to fix this problem but it needed to be fixed immediately. Marti shrugged and said there was nothing she could do. Marti has my debit card during this entire process. She stated she bodied the other payments and wanted me to sign the voided receipts. I refused to sign. I was not going to sign anything that may help Marti and her servers in this situation where my debit card was wrongly charged. Marti charged my debit card for the full dinner amount at that time. I told Marti I was very upset because I can potentially be charged with an overdraft fee due to her server's mistake completely wiping my bank account. Marti again said well there's nothing I can do about it. You should call your bank. I ended the conversation by saying, "There is something you can do about it but you're choosing not to". Marti asked that I sign my correct ticket, on which I scribbled a wavy line. Marti began to raise her voice and told the security officer I was refusing to my bill and take ownership of my bill. That makes 0 sense since my card was obviously charged, that's the only way a receipt can be printed to sign. I asked Marti, "Can I have your name?". She said, "You sure can", and proceeded to walk off. I received her name from servers who stated this is her normal behavior. Our experience at Chili's in Cedar Hill, TX was absolutely unacceptable. I have complained to customer service through the contact option and will continue to share my experience because Marti's "management" of the situation was deplorable. I've been to this Chili's a couple of times now, and it just comes down to Customer Service. Because Really, all the Chili's have the same food. Cooked the same way. What makes the difference between a good Chili's and a bad Chili's is just customer service. & I can't say this has the worst customer service but it also doesn't have the greatest. We stood at the front for at least 5-7 minutes before someone came up to seat us, we almost just grabbed menus and sat ourselves, but I don't recognize the new system that they use to see which sections have which server. & we didn't want to sit ourselves at the bar, so we waited. FINALLY one of the servers noticed us and sat us at his table. I'd say our server was okay, wasn't very attentive and the restaurant wasn't busy. We were one in about 4 tables. It was between lunch and dinner time so I know they are the "closers" for the lunch shift before the "openers/starters" for the dinner shift come in. However, the place was empty, there were a few people at the bar and that was it. I don't expect the server to be on us the entire time, but I hate it when I have to wait to get the servers attention to get a refill on my drink. Especially when I'm sitting there waiting for at least 5 minutes and I can't see our server anywhere. It also took an unusually long time to get the food we ordered... which was soup and a Panini for me and just the soup for my girlfriend. & I know for a fact that their soup sits back there in a warmer so all it takes is to go back there, scoop it into a bowl, sprinkle the toppings on top, and bring it out. I'm new to the area and still moving in so we ordered curbside pickup for our 6 and 8 year old and 4 adults. Two big party platters, corn on the cob, etc. we placed the order online at 7:15 with a 42 minute delivery time. We went to the restaurant to get the order and they told us they were running 45 minutes behind schedule. So, we waited. And waited. We went inside and they said they were putting it all together. This happened 2 more times. Finally, at 9:30 we received the order. The sliders were made at least an hour before because the bread was stale. The egg rolls were cold and they shorted us half of them ( we got 6 instead of 12 we ordered). I paid them 20% tip online and wish I could take it back. The worst service ever! They gave us some cheesecake and chips and salsa to make it up, but it doesn't come close to fixing the cry hungry little kids who had to wait so long to eat that they fell asleep waiting for some decent food. Don't dine in at this place until the "now hiring" sign out front is gone! They are understaffed so service was bad from start to finish! The hostess had us wait to be seated, then immediately seated the next two groups that came in after us (while we waited!!). Not sure when we would have been seated had I not said anything. My recent visit to this location confirmed my opinion that this is one of the worst locations in my part of town. We walked in around 8PM on Memorial Day. We were not greeted, but found an open table in the bar. The bartender was too busy doing sidework to pay much attention to us. There was plastic lieing out on the bartop (not sure what that was for). After about 10 minutes, we were acknowledged by a waitress who took our drink order: 2 Presidente margaritas. After about 5 minutes, I had to flag down another waiter to ask for help getting our drinks. We watched him go to the bar and the disappearing bartender poured the drinks from a spigot. What?!?! The menu reads "hand-shaken 25 times". Did I miss that part? The food came out immediately after we got our drinks. It was mediocre at best. Chili's used to be my go to spot for a great burger or fajitas and a margarita. This location ruined it for me. I won't be back here and doubtfully will visit any other Chili's. read more

My family of 5 went at 4pm today. Asked to be seated, hostess asked any kids menues needed? We replied yes two. She set them up on the podium then said it will be about 5 min and walked off. She passed back from the bar area to the dinning area about 6 times and looking as if expecting us to walk away or a server to come in. Unfortunately to her surprise neither happen, so she approached again asking how many and if any kids in the party. So, again reiterated there are 5 with two children. She proceeded to conduct the same bizarre ritual of looking for someone or something to happen. She delayed a little longer than asked us to follow her after asking if we wanted a table or booth. We were flexible, so she took us to a 4-top table. Obviously not able to comfortably fit 5 in the booth, we asked to be moved to a 6 top. Received the excuse that they were in the middle of a shift change and the man on the floor felt he needed to clarify that he was the bartender twice as if we asked. Upon received pushback from the hostess, we asked to speak to the manager. She proceeded to inform she didn't have a server for the other tables. But there was a server that had 4 tables in the dinning area. Needless to say I did not accept her apology or statement of "sorry." For we left and went to a place that would accommodate our family. Customer service is a dying art and more of an industry of entitlement since the pandemic. read more

When my husband came to pick up the food the order was incorrect on purpose a 50ish White lady the self appointed comedian carried out her comedic phone order all the way to packing the food in a way that was obvious it had been tampered with. I placed an online order and needed to change the pickup time so I followed the email instructions and called the restaurant. The person who answered the phone was so unbelievably rude. She said she couldn't see my order and couldn't do anything about it, I verified I called the correct Chili's and told her my email confirmation said to call if I needed to change anything. I asked well could you note that I'm trying to change my pickup time she responded with a deep breath like she was annoyed. At that moment, because I seriously didn't even trust eating it anymore and she was so nasty, I asked to cancel my order "Ma'am could you just go ahead and cancel my order please? thank you" She said "uh huh" and hung up the phone. Nice location, near Ross & Hobby Lobby right off the 67. Food, though, is greasy, overly salty, and strangely bitter. Many items taste artificial and unnatural, as though they are pre-made at some off-site factory,and shipped in, only to be warmed up as being "cooked" here. Seems like prices just went up too, making this place almost as expensive as Romano's next door. Service just okay -- kind of like a slightly upscale fast-food place.
