Basic chilis take out took longer than usual and yet food was still cold when i opened it in the car before leaving parking lot.

Eat here at your own health risk. While they managed to ignore all the customizations to my order including put jalapeños on a kid's nacho order what I observed while waiting on my order was sickening. From the to go area I could see into the kitchen. I watched a guy set down a tray and then proceed to remove French fries from a bin and with his bare hands and put them into baskets for a table. He wiped his hands on his jeans and then continued dipping his hands into bin and filling the baskets. If this wasn't bad enough I watch a lady working the cash register and talking on the telephone go to the kitchen and without washing her hands or putting on gloves open a bag of tortillas and take them out and put them inn a warmer and then retrieve from the warmer with her bare hands and place them in aluminum foil. I watched another remove nachos from a plate after using the cash register and place them in a to go box with her bare hands. If this is just what I saw I can imagine what else is going on in the kitchen. Health department needs to pay a surprise visit. Good luck to those who have consumed food her. Went there b/c we were in the area. Sorely disappointed by our waiter and baffled by his blatant disregard for common courtesy. Enjoyed our meal despite being seated in a dirty booth and practically ignored by two waiters supposedly responsible for, as they put it, "taking care" of us. I had to call our waiter from across the restaurant when we wanted to order our food because he brushed past our table without even glancing at us to make sure we were "taken care of" after delivering our drinks. I usually tip very well but this time felt obligated to tip horribly and leave a written explanation. I told him I would have tipped better if he had provided service worthy of it. read more

What makes a great restaurant is service. This location has always had consistent good friendly service. I lost my wallet in a booth in the bar area and realized it missing after I had left the restaurant. In a panic I call and asked Steve the bartender to go check the booth. Yep, he found it. Probably one of my best Chili's experience. We went there despite ALL the negative reviews, and the place must be under new Management. We had a great experience. Our waitress took our order at 5:15 and we had our food out by 5:40ish, plus they brought out our appetizer way before our meals. We had multiple servers/staff checking up on us. I think a lot of these reviews are old or from a time when this Location wasn't as well kept up. read more

Amazing staff and the best margaritas! Manager Caleb is dedicated to supporting his team and providing excellent guest experiences. Their new loaded queso is one of my favorites. This location is closest to their HQ so the team stays on point because they never know when corporate will be popping in! Ask for Mike as your server if possible, he is amazing!! This location doesn't even deserve a star. Went here to have a later lunch in a non busy time & ordered a chicken sandwich and pasta. The service wasn't the best to begin with, it took about 20 minutes to receive our waters, luckily we didn't order any drinks. After 45 minutes of waiting for food I got the attention of the waiter to ask the status of the food. He then responded with attitude and said there were issues in the kitchen.(thanks for letting us know) after another 17 minutes the food was finally brought out! Unfortunately it was completely wrong. I stated to the waiter it was not what we ordered, he then roles his eyes snatches the food and said "it will be another 30 minutes!" Not even an apology!!!!! My family has given this Chili's location several chances and each time we have been disappointed. The service for dinner has been consistently slow. Today our group was not served our meals at the same time. In fact, one member did not receive his food until after everyone else had finished. We addressed the problem with the manager and at that point there was no saving our experience. They did take the item we did not receive off of the bill and discounted the other items on the bill. The problem is - taking items off of the bill or discounting items on the bill does not fix the problem. A consistent problem. Anyone who is expecting a good dining experience should look elsewhere. read more

This place sucks. We waited over an hours for our food and kept being told the kitchen was backed up. When our food was finally delivered to our table it was luke warm. When we complained to the manager, he looked as though we were speaking Greek. He walked off without a resolution and we were told by another waitress that he was going to comp our ticket! Chilies at Preston by 635 is one of the favorite of me it's huge space and sure the food is always fresh and delicious. This place is easy to find parking and near by the freeways. read more

Very SLOW service and they are understaffed. We visited on 4-5-17 and they were only using 1/2 of the restaurant to seat people in. I suggest you go to another restaurant to eat. This will be our last time at a Chill's. read more

I have a feeling Chili's is about to file for bankruptcy. They pared the menu way down and raised prices, service was almost nonexistent when the place was dead at 5:30pm with a lot of staff standing around while my drink was empty, and the food was... maybe ok, I guess. I would blame it on this particular location, which has always been not great, but the menu/price thing makes me think they're struggling in general. As much as Chili's is a punchline, I've gone fairly often my whole life and enjoyed it quite a bit more than I'd like to admit. It just seems like it's in its death throes now. read more

If you like non-cooked grilled shrimp and bland stuffed mashed potatoes then this is your place. I've never had any typ eof bad food at any Chili's location until I came here. They truly made me think differently about this franchise. I will continue to go to other locations including Lewisville & Addison but if I was you, I'd stay away from this location. I have pictures to go along with my claims of the shrimp that was not cooked thoroughly and it looked like they just put the seasoning on top to cover the color of the shrimp that wasn't cooked. And then the mashed potatoes had cheese on top but nothing inside which I know is not how it's supposed to be since I've been to various other locations and their mashed potatoes always had me coming back for more. Their potatoes had nothing in them and also no flavor which makes me believe they were powdered potatoes with a covering on top to disguise the non-flavoring it produced. I was very disappointing but I guess it happens at least once in life right? haha :) read more

This particular location is going to get a two star review. I dine at this location frequently because it is close to the church that I attend, and it used to be really great. There was a waiter their named Shea and he was great. The drinks were never dry, the chips were always fresh, the food was out quickly, and the service was great. He was very friendly. However Shea was fired a few months ago. Ever since then the service, food, and overall quality has gone down hill. Last night when we arrived it took over 10 minutes to get the drinks and chips that I ordered, and when they arrived the chips were stale and some of them were soggy. Pretty much unavailable. When I alerted my waiter of this, he acted put out and went to get us other chips. When he returned the chips he brought were worse than the others. Throughout the evening, I had to ask several times for water, refill on chips, sauces, and other things... And they were eventually brought to me extremely slow. When my church group dines here, we usually bring 20 to 25 people. I hate to say it, but we might be looking for a different restaurant for our after church get-togethers. I hope that someone from management reads this, and either brings Shea back or trains their waiters and waitresses better. Do better Chilis. Do better. read more

Delicious food! Try the grassfed burger!!! Waiters and waitresses can be kind of slow getting to the table and sometimes forget things but I don't blame them, it gets very busy right as everyone leaves work, so hard to manage with the customer load. read more

I love Chili's but can only afford it a few times a year. Tonight my daughter and I were finally in a position to splurge and decided to go to the NEAREST Chili's rather than the one we usually frequent in Richardson. Well....I ordered online and discovered the staff apparently cannot read. Part of my order was missing. So I called...at which point someone took the phone off the hook and just left it there....I could hear everyone in the background but noone was talking to me. I had to call back, running my hold time to get to someone over 18 minutes total. Ridiculous. I returned the entire order and made them redo it from scratch simply because multiple employees (the one who screwed up the order - the one who didn't want to answer a phone) were too incompetent and/or lazy to do their job. I'm sorry, but I deal with customers every day with a level of customer service that involves a lot of tongue-biting and butt-kissing just so I can live up to my own standard of service. I'm just VERY disappointed that a restaurant chain of this caliber was so sloppy. I will drive out of my way next time rather than go through this again. read more

Went 9/10/15 for lunch with 4 other people. Ordered chicken & pork fajitas. Menu says Caramelized onions and green peppers come with the fajitas but they were barely cooked. When I said I thought they were to be Caramelized, Waitress took them back and said that is how they always are so let us know if you want them cooked more??? Makes no sense! So after the others were done eating she brought my food back with burned onions and green peppers. I will Never go back. read more

I've never been so disappointed with Chili's before. This is my favorite restaurant. I was there for about 32 minutes before I left because no one had attended my table of six. Not even to ask for drinks. We had to ask a manager that was passing by if we could get some help and he just looked at us, sort of nodded and walked away. After another 20 minutes of just sitting there and seeing two other tables, that got there before we did, were already being served their drinks. This was the absolute worst experience my husband and I have ever had. We just went there today, 3/19/17. Our server was the WORST server we have ever had. She took 10 minutes to get our drink order so we ordered all of our stuff when she FINALLY came. We then ordered chips and salsa WHICH WE DIDNT GET FOR 15 minutes. Her excuse? That they were making fresh chips WHICH WAS AN ABSOLUTE LIE BECAUSE THE CHIPS WERE COLD AND STALE. We then had to wait 20 more minutes for our food BECAUSE THE SERVER TINA SAT THERE FOR 15 MINUTES TALKING TO THE TABLE NEXT TO US! Which she eventually heard us getting irritated and said "let me go check on their food" which at that point we didn't even want so we asked another server for boxes, since our server disappeared. We were brought one box then my husband was so irritated he went to the bar to ask them for one, once he got back our server, Tina was her name, came out with two boxes saying she had to go to the "storage closet" we will never ever come back to this chilis this is the worst experience we have ever had. read more

I went to Dallas and stop at a Chili's near Addison. I requested an old southwestern salad not on the menu and the waiter was able to get my salad request into the kitchen. I was very please with the service. The waiter suggested some great drinks. read more

Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant! Went on lunch to pick up a to go order that was called in. I went to the bar and waited 30 minutes for our order. (30 mins past the time that was given to pick it up). When the order finally came out, it was missing a salad. I let the bartender know. He was very nice and let the guy in charge of to go orders know. That guy was the most unprofessional person I have ever come across. Right away he started yelling and cussing. He had already been very rude and disrespectful to the nice bartender. He pushed him away, talked horribly to him, etc. He told us our order was last priority and stomped off. We waited another 15-20 minutes for the ONE salad HE originally left out. I didn't get his name because they weren't wearing name tags...and to be honest, I was so upset, my blood was boiling so I didn't want to have it out with him. I can honestly say that I will never go back there again. Honestly, I will probably never go to another chilis ever again. For the food to be just "ok" and to be cussed at...It's not worth my time, money, or sanity. For the guy who worked on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, putting together to go orders, that had hair slicked back in the middle, I hope you find a job where you can be happy and don't feel like you have to degrade people. I've lived within walking distance from this Chili's for 7 years. I used to frequent it for takeout and dine-in for 2 of my faves, the mushroom jack fajitas and the southwestern cobb salad. Neither one of these are on the menu any more. A couple of weeks ago, a friend and I ordered takeout. I ordered one of their burgers. They don't ask you how you want them cooked, which did not concern me. It did, however, concern me when I got it home and bit into it, and it was medium rare at best, more likely rare. I took it back, and the manager was not happy when he saw it, refunded my money, and gave me gift cards for a future visit. I went back tonight with my brother for my birthday. I ordered the sirloin steak. I ordered it cooked medium. The server suggested that I cut it to check the doneness when she brought it to the table. It was well done. She offered to take it back and bring me another, but I declined because I didn't want to have to wait for another. She said she would be back. A few minutes later, the manager came by my table and told me that another one was being prepared, that I was welcome to take home. I thanked her, she brought it to the table, I cut it open, and.... it was RARE. *sigh*. I went ahead and took it home because I knew it would cook more with reheating. They comped my meal, along with the second steak. They did everything I could have expected to make it good, but it frustrates me that they can't seem to employ cooks that know how to tell how burgers or steaks are done. When I order a steak, I don't want to have to wait and send it back if it's not done right. I guess I'm just going to have to give up and stick to chips and hot sauce, because that seems to be the only thing they can get right. I guess I can't expect much more by ordering a steak from a non-steak house. Maybe their cooks need to take a field trip to Saltgrass and take notes from their cooks. read more
