I passed by this restaurant and wanted to try some Turkish food. The lamb chops were so well seasoned. The rice and salad were delish as well. I've gone back twice already. Easily a new favorite.

This review is for takeout only. I tried a few of my favorites for takeout; Spicy Ezme and lamb shish. The Ezme was delicious and very fresh but takeout did not include table bread that you usually use to dip in the Ezme. The way it was provided, the only way to eat it is with a spoon, I guess, like a cold soup. The lamb shish was not as tender, and the bread was tough and chewy. Very hard to chew. Ordering lamb shish in the restaurant was a completely different and much more delicious experience; especially when the bread is fresh and hot. The cheese pide was delicious. The cheese was flavorful, and the bread was flavorful and tender. I would order it again. Dessert was the best thing we ordered. The Apple baklava is just amazing and I can't recommend it enough. Although I seemed to remember when I had this at the restaurant, it came with a scoop of ice cream, which is not probably feasible for to go. I guess the bottom line is I will look forward to when I return to Selda restaurant, but it's unlikely I will order takeout again given this experience.

Traditionally huge fan of Selda. Everyone is really nice, great customer service although service can be a bit slow at times, and amazing food. The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor patio which are both beautifully designed. They usually bring complimentary bread and a sort of sour cream cheese which is truly amazing. I got their soup and Urfa Kebob that comes with rice as well as side bean salad. The flavors are just amazing. For dessert I got tea and tried out their Bakhlava as well as cake. The cake and the bakhlava were a bit sweet for me but it also tasted amazing. Overall great experience and I highly recommend this restaurant and its location.

I was a little disappointed in this place. Very pretty patio, and the bread was phenomenal! And the soup was tasty, the salad fresh. But gosh the mains were such a letdown. Overcooked and boring. Would just stick to the bread and apps if I ever return!

BRAVO! Absolute perfection. This was our appetizer order pictured, we also ordered the Beyti Special and Pistachio San Sebastin cheesecake with Turkish coffee! A showstopper to say the least!

Such a cute place. The patio is fun and charming, a great date night spot. I ordered the lamb shank and it was so tender it fell off the bone. The bean salad is fresh and flavorful. The complimentary pita bread is. Try a pide, we got the meat one. Our server was very nice and service overall was fast. Didn't wait long for our food. Walked by the dessert fridge on our way out, and dang. Should have gotten the pistachio cheesecake. Next time!

Selda is the best Turkish restaurant in the metroplex - we all know that so I wanted to take a moment to give them their flowers from a different perspective. We had a family trip where we would be lounging all day and night by the pool. We wanted to provide a no hassle meal for our huge group for one night. My husband worked with Vedat to plan the best option since we would be grilling ourself. They prepared the juiciest marinated chicken and beef kebabs. We are not grill masters in any way, shape or form - but these kebabs came out so good. Full credit to Selda. The portions were perfect - we even had leftovers for lunch the next day. They also provided bread and sides which everyone was obsessed with. A lot of our family had not tried Turkish food before and they loved every bite and came back for seconds. The staff was also so kind to help us load the car. This is a great option if you have an out of town gathering and want to feed a large group. Thanks so much to the Selda team!

Couldn't have been better, really. Love the casual atmosphere, while keeping the food and service top-notch. Allergens were clearly marked, food came out within minutes of being ordered, and everything just stood out as extremely flavorful of perfectly executed. Their desserts also looked amazing. I can see why they're doing so well, and have expanded to multiple other businesses and locations.

Another 5-star experience for us. My kids beg to come to this restaurant every chance they get. Most of us are sold on the lamb chops but my husband gets the beef shish. I really do come for the Spicy Ezme while my kids are there for the large Kunafe. Almost with Turkish tea. Always amazing. See you guys next time!

I wanted to love it given all the fantastic reviews, but the lamb chops that I ordered weren't as flavorful and filling as expected. Perhaps since my party was seated outside on the patio, we also barely received any service despite coming at a less busy time.

Lamb chop entree with rice and what was supposed to include a salad .

Lamb chops were bland and they forgot to include the salad that came with the order. The rice had flavor. They have several locations and this seemed to be a very busy spot. I am a firm believer in, "The first impression is the last impression."

We arrived early so the restaurant was not too busy but it started to fill by the time we left. The ambience remains upscale casual with a gracious greeting as you enter. We were given one of the half moon booths that faced outward to the restaurant. I ordered the hummus as a starter and it was very good. It's a mild hummus without a strong garlic element. It was very enjoyable. The wife started with babaganoush and loved it. The dip was smoky and very flavorful. For entrees, the kid had the Caesar salad and ate everything except the croutons. The wife had the spiced meatballs and loved them. The meat was tender and the sauce was very rich. I had the chicken kabob and I was in heaven. The kabob took quite a while to prepare, but it was worth the wait. The chicken was well marinated and very flavorful. Best of all, it had a smoky flavor from the char, but the chicken remained tender and moist. It was phenomenal. I wish I could have that every night. It came with sautéed vegetables that were prepared perfectly. And it included a white rice that had a rich buttery flavor. We all enjoyed our meal very much and we were happy to return to this restaurant. I need to put it in the rotation more often.

I visited this restaraunt for the first time and genuinely enjoyed everything I ordered. Starting off with appetizers, my friend and I ordered the pan shared halloumi cheese. This is paired with tomatoes and fig jam and is a wonderful accompaniment to the complimentary bread and olives served for the table. I'm a big fan of halloumi in general but this one was particularly cooked well and a must order for next time. For main entree I ordered Hunkar Begendi, which is sautéed marinated lamb tenderloin with red and green bell peppers over creamy eggplant puree. The lamb was in fact tender and perfectly seasoned and the eggplant puree went very well with the slight gaminess of the meat. I enjoyed this dish overall and it didn't feel too heavy, which sometimes is the case when I eat lamb. The pieces of meat were cut small enough while not being super tough, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this restaraunt if you enjoy trying Mediterranean fusion spots!

The star of my plate was of course the chicken; there was a lot of it. Large chunks that were perfectly grilled and they weren't dry. My husband ordered the Kafka Beef Plate with tabouleh and hummus. I hate that I had to remove a star but he said his hummus was "runny and watery". I was having too much fun with my food to investigate, but I'm going to take his word for it. I'm picky with hummus so I don't normally order it from random places. He'll learn someday. He also didn't like a spice that was in the Kafta. It was probably nutmeg or cumin or a combination of both. I also have learned my lesson with Mediterranean cuisine that I'm unfamiliar with. I don't like cinnamon or those pumpkin pie variety of spices in my meat so I never order anything that's beef or lamb. In their defense, I bet the meat was delicious if you like those spices.
