Seated ourselves! Went back to door to get menu to scan... sorry! No one told us what to do! Waited pretty long time for server, but t she seemed to be overwhelmed and she was nice so all good. Food was decent, but that's it... edible! Couple came in, waited for awhile at door and finally decided to seat themselves. No one came so they left! We're all trying to make it in the hospitality industry right now so we need to be hospitable! This industry is what most people are depending on right now for their entertainment... and for most of us it's our lively-hood! Where's the manager???? Somewhere there is a good Chili's. Unfortunately this one wasn't it. The service was as if we had the virus. The food was as if they were trying to put us out of our misery. For us it was a late lunch approaching 2pm. The place was about empty. We seated quickly in the back away from anyone else. And there we sat, and sat. Finally we placed our drink order and tried to squeeze in a food order on top of it. Well this wasn't her first rodeo and she wasn't having any of that, and scampered off. Things deteriorated from there. The food took forever to arrive, and when it did it was over salted and barely edible. The fries were good, however, if you like them salty. I went because I had never been, and me and my man walk in and instead of being greeted they just stare at us which was odd. But we got on a wait list which is fine and then we get seated and they didn't give us menus so I thought they'd tell us about the QR menu and we didn't find out til we asked our actual waiter and they were so sweet and good at their job. My husband and I never have had a bad experience at a Chili's until we went to this one. I have also never encountered such rude staff, we actually left and went somewhere our money was appreciated. Arriving around 2PM to a nearly empty guest dining room atmosphere, we mysteriously weren't able to be accommodated to. Ordered takeout for four people. The girl that had the order was not nice at all. All of the food was cold, the chicken enchilada soup was so salty that I had to throw it away, and we did not get any of the sauces we asked for. After a quick wait we were called to our table. The hostess checked us in and said "actually can you wait a minute"... she walked to a nearby booth and wiped it down. She never said another word to us... the next group of people came in, (were still standing there waiting to be seated) she ignores us and helps the next group to their table. She comes back and still never says a word to us. At that point we decided to seat ourselves at a table. A few minutes go by and our server comes to the table takes our drink order and we then have to ask for menus because the woman at the door decided not to do her job. Well I used to think this place was nice and really had their act together. I use the Chili's app regularly, but apparently they forgot how to update it. It said seating now, but when I checked in, I was told 45 minutes to an hour before we could be seated. Of course as soon as my name was put on the list, it popped up in the app with my wait time. Seems they don't know how to keep information updated. I just hope the food doesn't suck. UPDATE: Let me start by saying that if you get Baileigh as your server, go with God... She abandoned us. We were CONSTANTLY running out of drinks, over an hour to get our food when people in other sections were getting their food. I don't think she put our order in. We had to try and flag down other servers to keep from thirsting to death. Other servers are who FINALLY bring our burgers to us. Now the food was good. Also, if you use the Chili's app, this place apparently does not know how to update it. App said seating now, but was told 45 minutes to an hour wait when we walked in. Came to Dalton for a conference and decided to just walk to Chilis for dinner. After seeing some of the reviews, I was skeptical. I have to say - the food was great! I had Mango-chili chicken and my husband had chicken fajitas. The chicken for both was so tender and juicy. I also had a Titos punch which was delicious! Our server was very attentive, as was the host on duty. The only "complaint" i would have is that every single tv in the place was on a news station. Fox News, CSNBC, etc. I mean, I know the election is around the corner but for an establishment with a bar, I would have preferred seeing sports. It's football season, folks! read more

I have been staying in a hotel VERY close to the Chilis in Dalton, so I have literally eaten there for three days. I walked in tonight and encountered the most obnoxious and rude bartender (Katie) that I have ever dealt with. I asked for a simple menu to order a drink. She slammed a menu on the bar and I told her that I was looking for another menu that had the picture of the drink that I wanted on it. She told me "that's all we have!" in the rudest tone. I looked behind me at the table and saw the menu that I was looking for so I got up and went to retrieve it. When I got back to my chair and kindly asked her for the drink; she decided it was time to be an ass and ask me for my ID. I am in my fifties. She was only doing this (with a STRONG attitude) to "flex" on me. I do not mind showing ID; though I haven't been asked for it in almost four decades. What I do mind is the attitude and smirk that accompanied it, sending a clear message to me that she didn't appreciate me proving her to be a liar about not having any other menus. She is simply lazy and apathetic. Again, I have been in this restaurant for at least one meal and drink every day for three days. Not once have I been asked. It was all about control. Well, sista....you got the wrong one! So after this occurred I asked for a manager who had absolutely no solution for the situation, except an empty, half-hearted apology. I will never again darken the doors of this restaurant, though I am in the area often for business. I will also be sure to steer away everyone that I can as well. And I only have about 22k followers on twitter on my private channel. By the way...Applebee's was VERY accommodating and kind. Grouo of us went here as we traveled tgrough to Valdosta. 6 adults, the 3 guys are 6' + and over 250 lb, We were packed in like sardines, with little room to move around at the table. Food was okay. 3 people got Shrimp tacos, they came with a side of beans and rice (THEY WERE COLD). Tacos had little flavor. Waitress was nice, but only came back 1 time adter meals showed up. Spent 25 minutes sitting at the Bar trying to get a drink while I waited for a table. Bartender was more interested in the good looking girls that he knew, then he was serving other customers. Table service did not get any better, waited 10-15 minutes for drinks orders, then 15 minutes to order, then 15 minutes for the waiter to come back to check on us after the 30 mintues it took to deliver us appertizers. This Chili's is located right off the freeway so it is a great place for a short stop if you are on a road trip. It is also close to several hotels. Like most Chili's, their service was very friendly and food is pretty good. The verdict: I would opt to go to this Chili's again if I am on the freeway this part of the state. I typically do not go to Chili's, but my wife and I wanted something a little different. And it was a disappointment. We ordered appetizers, and the waiter did not bring us plates to share it. I guess he thought one of us was not going to share. I ordered a burger and cheese fries instead or regular fries, and when our food finally came out, I got regular fries. I told the waiter about it, and he said "They must have not seen it on the ticket". Well, my burger was warm, not really hot. However, I ate very slowly and by the time I finally got my cheese fries, I was two bites away from being done. And then, they put ice cold jalapenos on it. I mean, ice cold.
