We have always enjoyed lunch at Chili but extremely slow today. Server also never acknowledged our wait time

Friendly, attentive service, decent food and options, not too busy but spread out nicely. Our booth had a nice divot but everything seemed somewhat clean. We will be back at some point. All of us went for the "3 for Me." The single burgers or a chicken sandwich option was only $10.99. Two of us picked Caesar salads, one chicken tortilla soup, and one chili. The chili was pretty good. Nice, meaty, and nice flavor. I like it better than Texas Roadhouse. The sandwiches were also cooked well and tasty. For $11 I would pick this any day over most fast food burgers. Server had many tables so I didn't get as many refills as I would've drank, but he was nice and I understood. We waited 20 minutes or so after church. There were many tables open but it was probably spread out for the staff. Based on this visit we will come back at some point. read more

We have not been to a Chili's in years probably, but this experience was perfect. Came here with my mom and her friend. The food was all great, my pasta was super creamy. My moms Berger was great and a bonus for her they had street corn. Her friends chicken and egg rolls were nice and crispy. Good service and a good meal with good company. read more

In a town chock-full of Mexican restaurants, Chili's has the best chips and salsa! Chips are light and delicate, and very salty! Salsa is pureed thick and perfect. I get the chips and salsa with a bacon cheeseburger that's so big I cut it in two and eat the other half for lunch the next day. Fries are also the best around - crisp, salty but fluffy in the middle. Chili's, however, doesn't currently offer chili on the menu! Crazy! read more

Frederick can't serve for shit. Literally took 20 minutes to get our drink orders and another 20 to get our food orders. drinks were wrong the first time after waiting forever to get them. never got our food. we left after waiting 30 minutes. What started as a really bad experience turned into a pleasant experience. The hostess was not present when we walked in and took awhile before she came to seat us. We say at our table for at least 10 minutes and was not waited on. A waitress did look at us and walked away saying she told her not to seat anybody on her section. We waited another 5 minutes and decided to leave. When we left we let the hostess know of our displeasure. She shirked it off and said oh well. That is when I lost it and asked to see a manager (I am not a Karen, this was a 1st for me.). The manager and bartender (witnessed the whole thing) apologized and sat us in a booth by the bar and treated us with exceptional service. The food was good and the service. We arrived at 1:30 ,(maybe shift change?). The hostess left a lot to be desired, but the manager and bartender/waitress made up for earlier inconvenience. We left a 70 percent tip. read more

I went in here with my mother because it had been a long while since I had baby back ribs, and I thought this would be the best place for it. Instead, I had the absolutely worst dining experience I've ever had in Decatur bar none. Keep in mind, that this was an 80 dollar check for a meal for two people when reading this. To begin with there's no rolls or bread - I don't know if that's always how Chili's has ran it but it severely reduces the value. We started with the mozzarella sticks, which were the only GOOD part of the entire meal. The main course wasn't just bad, it was actively disgusting. I ordered the ribs and fries and mashed potatoes as the side. The fries were the only halfway decent part. Starting off with the mashed potatoes in particular were REVOLTING - they were literally an instant mash for some of the most expensive dining I've ever had, and instead of real butter I was given melted popcorn butter. I took one taste and gagged - I was blown away by how gross it was. The ribs themselves were awful. They were overcooked, making what little edible meat there was on it dry, stringy, and chewy. The majority of it was a tough, burnt jerky and skin that I just could not eat at all. I expected I would take half of it home, instead I ate both of the pitiful racks I was given hoping for some actual meat on there. And this isn't even getting into the service yet. Despite the fact the place was dead empty - when we got in there was one family of four and like two other people - we had the worst service I've had in Decatur. To begin with, the girl was totally inattentive, never checking in on us and had to be flagged down TWICE just to get refills. She forgot my mothers salad, and she didn't bring us salt and pepper for our meal - we had to ask for it; it took us several minutes to even get! Next, we had to ask for the check multiple times, and when I put the receipt and card on the side of the table wanting to pay we were ignored for a solid ten minutes. Both her and the hostess walked by us like half a dozen times with us trying to flag them down, all the while I'm watching her mess around and cut up with the other employees. When we finally got her to bring us the card machine (which makes this all the more ridiculous, because she didn't even have to do anything except hand it to us!), she threw it down on the table in front of me without a word. Then, when I didn't tip, she had the temerity to get snippy with my mother about it! I will never go in here again, and I would highly suggest going elsewhere. Longhorn Steakhouse directly down the road is a far superior experience, giving you way more meat and actual food for almost half the price of this. Stay well away. read more

Our waitress must of been having a bad day. She couldn't remember things that we asked for when we made our order. She even brought my sweet tea in a dirty glass with two lip marks on it. The second glass had food caked on it. I'm surprised that she didn't see this on either glass. At this point it just seemed as if our waitress didn't want to be there. Now at this point I almost felt like I couldn't eat my meal, because I was worried that if two of my glasses were dirty that my plate probably was as well. I went to the front of the restaurant and asked the hostess for the manager. It just so happened that the General Manager was there. I asked him to accompany to my table where I showed him the glasses. He apologized and said that he would comp our meals. I told him that wasn't the reason I brought the glasses to his attention. It was because I wanted to make sure that the waitress looked at the glasses before they just filled them. He said it looks like maybe they got the trays mixed up from where they were to pull the glasses from. Our waitress must have been distracted for some reason and took from the dirty glasses rack. I'm not one to make a big issue about things because that's not the way I was raised or the way that Jesus would want me to be. The whole moral of this review is just to tell all of you to please think before you speak. Remember things have changed so much in this country after COVID and restaurants are always short handed and these people are working long hours and many many days straight before they have a day off. Please be kind and humble and speak with respect and dignity to your server they are not there to be at your beck and call and are not to be treated as servants or slaves. Food had poor taste, probably the worst chilis I've ever been to. We went for lunch for my boyfriend birthday. We brought up to the waiter that it was his birthday so he brought out a lava cake for us. When we got the bill the lava cake was on the check so we asked if they no Longer did birthday dessert. The waiter replied that they did but he forgot so he brought out a lava cake and said it was his fault. He offered no solution to fix it and we still had to pay for this dessert that we did not order. Don't come here for your birthday or ever. read more

A 15 - 20 minute wait at a nearly empty restaurant is unbelievable. I completely understand the labor shortage, but, if that's the alternative, then close. The food and service here have been sub par every time I come. Unfortunately, it's one of only a couple places that have tables (not drive through). This place should be scrutinized by the brand. Good drink prices I would say! If you come in during rushes expect subpar service and food quality (not like the food is great anyhow but its edible) the atmosphere is nice and clean and if u pick your timeing just right its a vary good restaurant to eat at! read more

I rarely come here because the service is so bad. It took them 30 minutes just to bring us the check to pay. They don't come and make sure that everything is ok at your table. They really just don't care about you or your time. They are not efficient at anything. The food was ok. read more

The bacon ranch whathefuckever it's called had no bacon and if it had any kind of ranch it was like the tv show Dallas. Wife had the potato soup. Every chilis is different the one in my hometown is better but this chilis is still really good in my opinion. Everyone nowadays complains about wait time in an empty restaurant, etc...the way I see it is they need money just like anyone else, so if they are short staffed or whatever and there's a 10-15 minute wait...either walk out or wait. But hey that's my opinion...I've never had an issue with waitresses or anything but my boyfriend and I usually sit on the bar side so they are friendly. The couple times I went here with my bestfriend sitting on the other side it was a little slow and the waiter or waitress was a little slow getting to the table for my liking but overall pretty good. No real complaints on food, yes a couple times I've had a smidge of cold food, and just nicely had them take it back and get me something warmer...other than that nothing to complain about. Keep up the good work and hopefully more people will start working soon!!! Cause just like everywhere...fast food and restaurants suffer too. read more

While we don't usually frequent places like Chilis (or iis if the burned sign is to be believed), it seemed the best option after we struck out at two other bland eateries tonight. Unfortunately, we never got a chance to order food. After finding out they were out of all but one IPA they "typically" carry, we decided to go elsewhere. The one IPA they had was one of my least favorite. I understand perhaps IPAs aren't popular with your typical crowd but if you're going to serve bland food, you probably should ensure you carry your full drink menu to attract and retain business. Also, have someone answer the phone who can talk beer selection when potential customers call. read more

Last ate here at the Huntsville Alabama location probably 20 years ago tonight's visit refreshed my memory as to why I haven't eaten here in 20 years.It was like the kitchen and the wait staff were having a competition to see who could suck the worst at their job. Waiter had to be reminded multiple times to bring basic stuff. Had Steak,chicken,and shrimp fajitas which were barely edible and would have probably been better if made by McDonald's. Absolutely the worst fajitas ever made! Steak had so much Cilantro you couldn't taste the meat. Chicken tastes like canned meat. Shrimp was tolerable but even Chilis can't screw up shrimp. Not enough guacamole,cheese or sour cream for a 4 year old a 1 ounce spoon if rice. Imagine if Ebenezer Scrooge was a creative consultant for a fajita plate and you get the idea. Very poor portions and food quality for a 20 buck plus meal. I wouldn't feed this crap to an animal I hated! If I could rate this place zero stars I would. Terrible! read more

I think this they may be under new management. The food was incredibly slow. Server was inexperienced and I couldn't eat my fajitas as they were so over cooked. Lots of choices in Decatur now. Food is incredible. Service is very good but the prices are crazy high they are higher since the last time i was there I guess they raised the prices I was there about 6 months ago or so and ordered the same thing I always do and my bill is $5 higher! my favorite thing on the menu are the ribs they mastered the ribs, they used to only be $16.99 for the full rack and 2 sides now it's $22 for ribs and a soda absolutely pisses me off how restaurants get to where the food is perfect then they think it's ok to raise the prices of the food. I've just downloaded this app to write this review. I ordered the Ancho Salmon and it came to the table and it looked just fine and then I took a bite. It had the worst fishy taste I have ever tasted in my life. I literally went and threw up in the bathroom. When I got back my mother had already sent it back for me. The manager comes out and tells me " the fish isn't bad, what you were tasting was the ancho chili paste on top of the salmon" and I told her that she was wrong and I didn't understand how the fish got on my plate. My husband and I went here to eat for a late lunch. We were seated quickly and my mango margarita was vary nice (5/5) however while the food is "good" there is MAJOR room for improvement both my ribs and my husbands chicken was dry and bland and even the MOUNTAIN of BBQ sauce couldent bring back the moister. I got food poisoning from the Chili or Ceasar salad. Three of us went to eat and I decided to go a little light so I ordered the chili and salad combo. The chili came out lukewarm and I sent it back... The waitress brought me back a hot bowl of chili but it had way too many spices in it. The salad was in poor shape (wilted), but I refrain from complaining but would not serve this to a customer if I worked there. I went to bed that night feeling ill and in the morning felt worse. Vomiting and diarrhea all day. This is not how I like to lose a quick 4 pounds either! I've been to this restaurant twice in the last 2 months and decided I'm not going to go to Chili's in Decatur Alabama anymore. The service and the food has just gone way downhill and too many better restaurants in town to eat at. My family and I love chili's. Coupons are great. Never had a bad experience. The waitresses are always nice. Chips and salsa are wonderful! I recommend the margarita grill chicken with extra limes. The 6oz sirloin is good too especially with the smash potatoes. It's good enough to slap yo momma!! Santa Fe salad is good too it's a little hot and I like hot. 2 for $20 or the choose 2 for $8.99 or 3 for $9.99 chicken quesadillas ummm and u can bring home the rest for later! If I could give negative stars, I certainly would. I ordered online to pick up curbside. I get there and about 5 minutes past my expected pickup time, I walk into the restaurant. Completely ignored by the guy behind the counter. I literally stare at him for a good solid 2 minutes before he begrudgingly acknowledges me, after some mumbling he yells at someone behind the wall and literally announces he doesn't have time to deal with me. I was just there to pick up my order. Btw: it wasn't ready. By this point, it's 15 minutes past my pick up time. Ok I get that, it's busy and if they are running behind then the meal will be good and hot. Right? Well that wasn't the case. I live 5 minutes away and by the time I get home my burger is cold and because I substituted broccoli for the fries, my burger was cold AND soggy. To make matters worse, the burger wasn't even prepared correctly. Worst service and worst meal I have ever eaten at Chili's. Makes sense now why so many are closing. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a while. It took them forever to seat us even though they had lots of empty tables and we opted to split up our large group of nine. Our drinks and order were taken quickly, but then it took forever to get chips and salsa. There was no sweet tea and we had to wait on that to be made. They were out of lemons. They brought out two meals before they brought out soups and salads. We had no cutlery and had to request it. My children sat for ten minutes staring at their food before cutlery arrived. When I did get my salad, I had requested no cucumber or onion and I only got a bowl of lettuce. I asked about the other things that went on the salad and the waitress took it back and came back with cheese on it. She said they were out of croutons. I don't know why it didn't have tomatoes as well. I ordered the honey chipotle chicken crispers and they were good, but others at the table had chicken that was over cooked and tough. It took a long time to get drink refills. There was no manager in sight and the place seemed understaffed. At the end, the waitress messed up our bills and we had to wait to get that fixed. As we were leaving, it was difficult not to notice the abundance of dirty tables as we made our way to the door. I don't think we could have had a worse experience than we did at this Chili's. I don't anticipate us coming back and I wouldn't recommended this location to anyone else. read more

Got seated right away, order came quickly, server was pleasant, food was edible but not spectacular, love the pay at the table kiosk but the printer was out of paper so I couldn't use it because when they loaded the paper it re-booted and my ticket was removed.
