Great afternoon lunch at Chili's! It's been awhile since I've visited a Chili's but one thing I've always loved is the surprise you're in for when you see the specials! Our experience at this Chili's really does vary. The servers have mostly been solid with us; it's the cook staff that tends to swing things one way or the other. My wife sticks with the hot wings, and those are usually consistent. I go for a burger, and that's where the roulette wheel spins -- I've had everything from medium‑rare (okay, but not ideal for ground beef) to full‑on hockey pucks. I love the steak‑and‑shrimp fajitas, but my wife isn't a fan of the shrimp flavor. She prefers the bone‑in chicken over the boneless, which tends to run too salty. Like many medium‑priced restaurants in Northeast El Paso, the seats here are showing a lot of wear. Parking has never been an issue -- if the main lot fills up, the overflow into Lowe's on the back side gives you plenty of space. A couple of extra steps, but nothing dramatic. One practical tip we've learned: if you're ordering appetizers, order them with your drinks and don't mention your main course yet. It's the only way to actually have time to enjoy them before the entrées hit the table. When the kitchen is on point, everything comes out fast and right. When they're not, you feel it -- timing gets odd, plates come out uneven, and the whole meal feels a little off. Corrections are usually made without any fuss, but it's worth checking your bill afterward since some fixes have to go through the manager before they show up properly. And to their credit, they never complain about fixing it. I've never had a truly disappointing time here, but like anywhere, perfection every visit seems to be a lost art. So for us, Chili's lands squarely in the middle: not perfect, not terrible, just a place where the quality depends on who's working the back line that day. I walked in for lunch at noon today. Sat at the bar. After about 5 min Jessica came to take my order. I corrected my drink order since she misheard. I asked for her suggestions on lunch and placed my order. A few minutes later I clearly see and hear her imitating me with two other workers. I don't know why and it was really unprofessional. I asked her why were you making fun of me and she said oh I was just informing the bartender about you. It didn't make sense. I said have a good day and left without eating. I was just appalled at how unprofessional she was. After speaking to shift manager Rudy he informed me she was a "trainer". Overall a very disappointing experience from a worker who clearly doesn't need to be in customer service. read more

Our appetizers of nachos took over 40 minutes to come out due to not having the tortillas. The beef on the nacho meat is totally cremated, and even though we waited so long the cheese was hard once we received it-- it was barely warm. The waiter was attentive and checked on us often. Ordered curbside for our anniversary. I got the brisket tacos, Texas fries, and Ceaser salad. Wife got the large rib order cole slaw, and fries. We ordered one Lava Cake for both of us. Also got the triple dipper appetizer with boneless wings, sliders, and southwest egg rolls. Brisket tacos turned out to be shrimp tacos and were cold, tasteless. The Texas fries were a solid block of cheddar cheese with fries embedded. a minute in the microwave didn't even help melt the cheese. Ceaser salad was limp and disgusting. Wife's ribs were okay but there wasn't any bbq sauce with them. As a matter of fact, the only thing they had was about 6 containers of ranch dressing. She ate the slaw but the fries were soggy. Finally, the Lava Cake. All cake and almost no lava. We've tried this Chili's location three times over the years. The first time was when they opened. It was decent then, neither of the last two times has been satisfactory. By the way, putting a tip jar on there when there is no service except walking outside the door to deliver it is rather close to coersive. Would NOT recommend eating at this location. read more

The 6oz sirloin steak with grilled avocado was really good. It could be the best meal I've ever had at Chili's. The meat was so tender and cooked perfectly. What made me decide to give 3 stars was because our server wasn't good. She wanted to take our order less than 1 minute after we got our menu, and when we said we weren't ready she never came back forever. My husband was getting frustrated, the restaurant was FREEZING so I was feeling uncomfortable, so we couldn't really enjoy our meal. But anyways, you should sign up for their reward program if you come to Chili's often. Every time you go there and order something, you earn points. I am ONLY giving 1 star because I have to in order to post my review. This place is HORRIBLE!!!! I went in for lunch around 2:30 pm, they were NOT busy at all!!! I was seated and was not even acknowledged by the female bartender who would be my server for more than 5 minutes. During this time 2 females came and sat on the bar, the bartender acknowledged them right away!! Then she went to the hostess and said that she "needed help" getting my order. She could NOT acknowledge me nor take my drink order but she did with the 2 females that came in 10 minutes AFTER I was seated!! WORST customer service I've seen in a while. I left and called to talk to the manager, while speaking with her I felt as if she was just trying to pacify me....pissed me off even more!!!! . They ALL need to learn that if it were NOT for the customer they would NOT have a job!!!!! read more

The Westside Chili's is better, but they're both three stars. Is that weird? My feelings on Chili's in general are very complex and while I never choose Chili's over a local option (because my experiences in local establishments are generally better from the taste and presentation to the whole environment) occasionally I find myself with very limited options for food because of how ridiculously late it is. And in those situations I usually opt for Chili's because, you know, consistency and decent prices and yada yada yada. Last week Christofer and I wanted to grab a late night dinner and immediately settled on Chili's since it was the closest open business. It was kind of surreal walking into this particular Chili's and finding that nothing had changed since the last time I was there (we're talking 3+ years). It's almost as if they did this on purpose, knowing that one day I would return. It's clean and they've kept it in tip-top shape. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in and our waiter came over in a jiffy. As per my usual, I ordered a flavor tea and the only thing I can say that Applebee's has on Chili's is the fact that their flavored teas are three times better. I decided I just wanted the chips with guacamole and I would do a dessert. Our food came out quickly and the chips were everything I wanted them to be, but the guac was a smaller portion than what I get at the Westside Chili's. No biggie though since I'm pretty much obsessed with the super watery salsa served on the side that shouldn't be good, but just is. Those chips are thin little pieces of salted ecstasy. Drool, seriously. When we were all finished up with our meals we both ordered skillet cookies. I landed on the chocolate chip, but I substituted the hot fudge for "an uncomfortable amount of caramel". And an uncomfortable amount of caramel I was served. Our server just get's me. The caramel was layered and pooling on top of the cookie with delicious vanilla ice cream melting on top. This is all I want in life! I ended up finishing more than half of this gooey, chocolatey deliciousness and new that I'd be in a food coma for a while. Overall still my favorite chain in the Northeast and service was and is always great (even if our server did seem to have more tables than one should, but he handled them expertly). One thing that I did forget while at this Chili's is the fact that I'm signed up for their e-mails so I definitely had a coupon or something for at least one of these dishes (usually you get a free dessert or app with a purchase of an entree...I would've added an entree had I remembered this). But all in all, Chili's prices are pretty reasonable. Apps ballpark around $10 and desserts are around $6. What I'm trying to say is, you can splurge at Chili's, it will not break the bank. read more

Had dinner there last night and what a shock. I ordered steak with loaded mash and broccoli. The mashed potatoes were ice cold! The broccoli completely raw. My friend had the sweet corn. Also ice cold. I thought at least the made the potato's fresh but no. Our waitress was Danniele and she was amazing. I could tell she was so embarrassed by what happened. This was my third shot at eating here. Never ever again. If I wanted microwaved food, I would have stayed at home. I gave it one star only because our waitress was awesome. 2/6/22 @ 6pm Chili's Northeast Trans Mt. No stars... This Chili's took forever to sit us down, 1 hour wait after we where told 20 min, even thou there where plenty of seats. They kept telling us there's no server's even thou I saw about 5 server's. We spoke to the Manager and the manager did absolutely nothing like she didn't care. No customer service at this location. We where lucky we got a good server. Manager has no customer service. Needs to be retrained aswell as hostess. They also didn't have any napkins. Horrible service, never coming to this place again. Love going to Chili's for a nice meal and great company. This establishment here on Transmountain has not failed me yet. I've been going to this one off and on for years and the drinks have always been on point (killa margaritas) the food was as expected (freaking delicious) on the average busy evening. Just left and will never return. Sat quickly and order taken right away. I ordered a Mango lemonade. The server says she wasn't good at mixing it, so would I mind doing it. Wow, OK. Lemonade and a side of mango syrup arrives and I pour the syrup into the lemonade and stir. That was SO hard to figure out, not sure how I managed without a block of instruction. My husband ordered a Burger and asked for no onions, and no onion rings (the Burger comes with both.) His Burger arrived with onion rings. I ordered a Burger well-done with no onions. I was happy when I saw no onions....then I cut my Burger in half only to discover it was Pink inside. No problem if I asked for medium, but I hate pink burgers and I asked for well-done. The server gets the manager and he apologizes and said he will take my Burger off the bill. Our bill never made it to the kiosk on the table, so we waited, and waited, and waited but nobody ever came with a bill. I asked the hostess to please check on the bill so we could leave. We have always ordered delivery and takeout from Chili's and the food and service has been great. Today we decided to go and eat in the restaurant. After we were seated, it took forever for our server to come and get our drink orders. After waiting for our drinks, we finally got them and ordered our food. After waiting and waiting, our server finally appeared and we found out that she never put in order. After that, our meal came quite quickly, although we were already unhappy. Then when we received our bill, she had the audacity to add an $11 tip. Food was delicious, but don't plan to go back again, plus it was freezing. Not a good experience at all. read more

Chili's is pretty consistent when it comes to good food and friendly service. We feel comfortable, never rushed. The only complaint is that the kiosks rarely work. The last time, we had the server bring another one to our table. It didn't work either, so she ended up having to check us out the ol' fashion way. Tonight was a reminder of why I haven't gone to Chili's in years.... The service!! We got there, we waited loooooooong for our food, one of the orders was wrong, we waited loooooooong for it to be "fixed", so loooooooong that when they brought it, we asked them to take it back and box it so we could take it to go, we waited loooooooong to get the boxed order and check so we could pay. The waitress was all nice and all but kept apologizing and acting shocked every time she came by and saw that we were still waiting for something we had asked her for.... So here's my actual rant.... And as a disclaimer, this is not a personal "attack"... It's a "lesson of life".... For any waitress/waiter/server out there reading this... The one thing I feel the waitress lacked was OWNERSHIP... This is your table, your orders, your customers, your responsibility. Don't act shocked that we were still waiting... We're waiting because "you" had not brought our food.. apologizing every time, but continuing to lack ownership, doesn't do any good... At some point the apologies become annoying, especially if we keep waiting after them... Also as I was "studying" the check when it came in, she said, "it's still there because it was the 2 for 22, so it costs the same"... Now I'm not one to expect a free meal every time a mistake happens or something does not go the way I was hoping for, but what she was referring to as "it's still there" was the order that was brought wrong, sent back, and brought back corrected 2 hours after we had gotten to the restaurant. So although I didn't expect it, I did wonder if they had still charged for it, and they did, and they gave me an excuse (that I did not ask for) as to why they still charged for it. I think the fact that an excuse was given indicates they know they probably should not have charged it. My family said I should talk to the manager, but from past experience, the service and experience is a reflection of the management team, and given the fact that I had stopped going to Chili's years ago because of the bad service, just shows that it may be an issue with the chain's culture... So talking to the manager won't fix anything if the culture of bad service is already engrained. And by looking at the other reviews, it just supports my theory that this is a culture rather than an occasional "oops" Why two stars??? Because the food was actually very good... But if u look at my few reviews, I rate on the overall experience... And honestly, I don't know that the good tasting food is worth the experience... By the way, I could have been a jerk, sought the manager, asked for a freebie, paid with a card and not left a tip, but I was ready to go, so I just left one big bill, without asking g for change(wonder how long I would have waited)... Went to have lunch today with my sister. Hostess was no where insight, after a few minutes she comes out from the back drinking whatever she was drinking. After being seated waited about almost 10mins before one of the asst managers noticed us waiting so came over to talk to us, that's when our server finally came over. Food was ok, it's chili's. Had to wait another 15 mins after we finished eating to get the bill apparently all the servers were busy in the kitchen. I can say won't be back here too soon. 79912 Chili's gets every order perfect and they care that each customer is satisfied. This Chili's on Woodrow Bean gets every take out order wrong. I have a severe allergy to yellow cheese and seven times now no matter if I call, order in person, or use the app my burger is smothered in cheddar cheese-even the mushroom swiss burger! This last time was the kicker because after hanging up with the manager I tried to remove the cheese and eat what I could but the burger fell apart because it was RAW inside! We asked for no pink and got char on the outside of a raw burger. Do not eat there. Go to the westside location. The management at this one doesn't care to improve. read more

I ordered curbside tonight at Chili's. Order was a margarita chicken and a buffalo ranch chicken sandwich. Waited longer than expected, but that was the best part of this experience. When we arrived at home to eat this meal, I began to eat the raw buffalo chicken, that tasted like chicken s--t. Side salad was not fresh and ended up throwing the meal in the trash. Wife said her Margarita chicken had no flavor and was just a piece of chicken. Chili's has been around too long and needs to close their doors. Ok so you probably think I'm weird but this place is actually getting it's act together! Food is better than years past and service is getting more vigilant on orders. I'm not very keen on their online ordering system as I like to come in house and get a beer while I wait. Speaking of beer.... They have an amazing craft beer selection now and not just limited to the regular boring commercial stuff. I love the fact that this location is actually they're training facility as well so maybe some reviews about serving sucking or food not prepared correctly could be a bit harsh or not thought out. The central location is much smaller, actually all other locations are smaller than the NE location so we should count ourselves lucky! read more

Yikes, I really have no clue how Chilis stays in business. Why on earth would you go here over the dozens of incredible local places in EP? The food is over salted, over fatted, over sugared, frozen and then microwaved garbage. You don't like it. You are just scared of trying new things. I only went because we had a $20 gift card. We got some food and drinks and walked out just feeling gross. Also, and this is my biggest reason for hating Chilis, how can you call yourself "tex mex" and charge for chips and salsa? I've been a regular customer of Chili's for over 27 years. We ordered take out last night at 7:20pm. I get there at 7:40pm and waited til 8pm to get my food. Mind you the lady doing the To-Go orders was not very good. I watched the person in front of me ask " Doesn't bread come with the pasta, the waitress says well last I check we were out of the bread so the customers says well aren't you going to give me something else then to compensate me , she says let me go see if they defrosted more bread, I watch her walk over to the counter where there was a whole tray of bread, she grabs it wraps it up and gives it to the customer. Then she finally gets to me order after I've waited 40 mins since my called in to place my order. I said I ordered Chips and Queso she says well it's not on your receipt it's says Chips and Salsa I said OK, but I ordered Queso so at this point it should be free since I've been waiting here all this time. Mind you I had already paid for my order and TIPPED her already. she says let me check with my manager she comes back to me says OH, were all out of Queso. ( Which was a lie) just like she told the lady before me that they were out of bread for her pasta. I grabbed my bag and left. This waitress was clearly LAZY and is not trained on Customer Service.
