Didn't have a meal the whole day so me and my girlfriend decided to stop by and have Chili's for the first time in awhile. She ordered the triple dipper meal and I ordered the smasher burger. Service was amazing. Wasn't until a few hours later my girlfriend said she wasn't feeling well. Getting sick like how she is now is a big let down from this establishment. Hmmm. Really? Probably the nastiest place I've ever eaten at. Disgusting. I'm sorry, but when just about everything I touched had a nasty scuzzy feel, sticky or crusty. How about wiping the place down. Perhaps a little vinegar in the water spray bottles to get a fresh douche around the place. General Manager needs to be a visitor for a day. Also, I don't normally complain about, or yet even eat at corporate chain restaurants like this, but my son was craving one of their specialty cocktails and was paying this eve. I immediately noticed the size and dimensions of the plates and the portions on those smaller plates. I guess I used to be a fan of Chili's, but after learning a thing or two about culinary adventuring, I stopped eating here unless I am traveling and Chili's happens to be the only food establishment nearby my hotel. Just a simple dining experience; well at least it SHOULD have been. Our meal deal included a drink upgrade option, which I took. I asked the server if there were any "adult" drink specials to which she pointed to a poster on the table. The drink options were "Spice" and "Nice". I ordered "Nice" joking to the server that "nice is better than mean." The drink I received was peppery hot, so I told the server. It was replaced with the correct one, but the server did not say WHY it was hot. So now we receive the bill, and it was significantly higher than expected. A quick overview revealed that we were charged a regular dessert fee in addition to our discounted meal add-on option for the dessert, as well as full price for my drink upgrade. When my wife brought all this to her attention, the server became argumentative. She had no explanation for the additional dessert charge and claimed that I ordered the "Spice" drink which had jalapeno. Glad my wife remembered my "nice/mean" comment, otherwise the server may have raised doubt in her mind. My wife then asked since we were charged full price for the drink, then where was my regular drink that comes with the meal. The server said that we could have it "to go." So, she was just going to cheat us out of the drink? As you can see, none of this is adding up. That's when my wife requested to speak with the manager. When manager "Robin" came to our table, she had already removed the extra dessert charge. After hearing our complaint and a quick investigation, she corrected everything. 5 stars for the manager, but unfortunately the poor service dropped that down to 3. Contrary to my typical response in such situations, I decided to leave a tip. The waitress seemed to be having a bad day, so I wanted to help alleviate it. read more

Nick did an incredible job managing the bar crowd during happy hour and was extremely respectful and attentive. That alone will keep me coming back BUT... chips and salsa now costs $6.99?! And the only happy hour food they have are... wings? I miss the happy hour of old and paying $7 for a basket of chips is wild. Not sure why this location has a low score but all my recent visits have been amazing! The waitress was new but the best one we've had in awhile even compared to Carvers in RB & Black Angus in Escondido which was a joke. Every complaint we had she resolved it and without hesitation. My son never ran out water which he drinks tons of & the burgers were all amazing! I can't remember her name but we had to tell her how impressed we were and shocked to here it was her first job as a waitress. Every time we order to go it's always on point & no complaints. My husband and I walked in and wanted to sit at the bar but there was no room... we waited for a few minutes at a table in the bar area as it wasn't cleaned yet, after a while my husband asked "can we get someone to clear this please" to the bar tender, in which she replied "yeah sure" with a nasty attitude and gave a mean expression, my husband was disgruntled and muttered "f u too" in which we moved to a new table that opened up and sat down... the said manager eventually came out and asked for our input on an "altercation" (I wasn't aware there was one? But we did share our experience) after a few minutes after placing our orders with our waitress and everything was fine... the manager came back out and said that "no one felt comfortable serving us until my husband apologized to the bar tender" I'm sorry, what? Along side with a couple of Coronas, and cheesecake for dessert. it was a great decision for it being impromptu to eat a late dindin at 9:30pm on a Saturday night. It was kinda busy still with about a less than 10 min wait to be seated which was not bad at all. Our sever Dan had a great personality- charming actually and a great attitude, took great care of us. The food came out in a timely manner and it was delicious! No complaints here. :). Great location right off the 15 on W. Valley Parkway in Esco. This review is mostly for their pickup process. Pick up area is all the way in the back in a hidden corner of the restaurant. Unlike Applebee's there is no bell to ring and you can see your food awkwardly just sitting out of reach getting cold while you can hear employees in the back having conversations, but they can't hear or see you. I stood there for 5 minutes without anyone coming out to see if there are customers waiting. read more

Date of visit: January 10, 2019 Normally, when my best friend and I get together to commisserate over dinner and drinks, we usually head out to Slater's 50/50... but this time we wanted somewhere closer to her place, so we decided to head to Chili's. It was a pretty busy Thursday night, with various sporting events being aired on the bar's TV set, but our server was able to find us a semi-quiet booth. Besides being closer to her place, one of the reasons we went to Chili's was to try something I'd been eying for quite some time - the Boss Burger. Picture one of Chili's burgers, but topped with smoked beef brisket, pulled pork rib meat, a sliced jalapeno-cheddar sausage link, two strips of bacon, and the usual accoutrements of cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomato, along with BBQ and ranch sauces and a side of fries. At $14.69, you WILL get your money's worth... especially since after eating a quarter of the burger I got pretty full, thus bringing the rest home for tomorrow's lunch. Then again, the appetizer of Southwestern Egg Rolls ($9.19) my friend ordered kinda helped. (Her entree was the Mushroom Jack Chicken Fajitas - $15.99 - and like me, she too couldn't finish her dinner.) There's a sense of familiarity with Chili's: not just with the menu, but also with the environment. It felt like the interior design of this location looked like the same layout as the Chili's at my place! At least the servers here were on point that evening, even if it took a while to get our drinks refilled (to be fair, we did come in on a busy night). So, a 4-star visit for the food and the copious leftovers we brought back with us, and going to keep Chili's in mind next time I'm visiting my best friend up north. read more

When you're hungry but don't want drive thru and have a few minutes to sit and relax, then Chili's is the place to be. Service is always good and so is the food. Competition is stiff for casual dining so they've been lowering prices without compromising the food quality which is appreciated. The parking here at this location is difficult and so is getting in and out of it but still worth the visit. If you're in a rush, just let your server know and in minutes you'll be out the door. I enjoy their minute steaks. Perfectly cooked and just the right portion with broccoli and mashed potatoes. My drink is always refilled when below half and servers offer to go cups too! I love this place. It has become my go to spot for a good lunch when I escape the stress of my office. read more

Actually 4.125. Had a craving to watch some MNF, drink good beer and eat some appetizers. Did some research and found out that Chili's has a happy hour (Mon - Thurs 3-7 and 9-Close. Fri 3-7, Sun All Day) and is is a short half mile walk from my hotel so I could skip a Lyft or Uber. Seating in the bar area was spaced out so groups were social distanced. Menu could be accessed via QR code.but does not have the happy hour offerings. I had to specifically ask the bartender for the happy hour menu. These should readily available at each table and bar counter during happy hour. Anyways, I ordered a large Stone Delicious IPA for less than $7 and boneless wings for $6. I found out that if you sign up for their rewards program, you can get free bottomless chips and salsa with a minimum $5 select purchase. I ordered the chips and salsa. Besides ordering from the bartender, you can order from the table tablet. Food and drink came out timely. Boneless wings were good but I prefer bone-in wings. Chips and salsa were satisfactory with chips being thin and crispy. Definitely a nice perk as membership is free. Service was excellent. Bartender checked on me often to make sure my needs were met. Dirty. Broken booth. We arrived right after opening so the filth on the table, the window sill and the little computer they leave at the end of the table tells us they just don't clean. The manager should be inspecting these things and instruction those who work for them. If those employees are not performing to Chili's standards, then action should be taken. The bench was broken on one side of our booth. I don't know where the breakdown is occurring if it's management or corporate but this specific location is in need of help. Let's see. The hostess was nice enough. We did not have to wait that long to get seated. The waitress was kind and somewhat attentive, but I think the place was understaffed. The playoff game was on, so that was decent as well. We started out with chips and salsa. Greasy chips and a thin salsa. The salsa was not enough, and we didn't finish the chips. The food was delivered. So that was fine. But we had a small booth table, so I had to drop the chips off at the bar so we had more room on the table. My gal had the smokehouse combo and she was happy with her meal. She had the ribs and quesadillas. I wanted something with barbecue sauce. So I tried the brisket barbecue burger with no cheese. I tried an extra patty as well, because I felt hungry. For some reason that burger was dripping in grease. I thought at first it would be dripping in barbecue sauce, but there seemed to be very little of that. I could not even taste barbecue sauce. There was only tiny bits of brisket, and it was nothing like the picture which showed an equal layer of brisket and an equal layer of hamburger patty. It was more like somebody scraped together some gristle and tossed it on top. I tried to save it with ketchup but sadly, I could not. I came into that restaurant hungry, and left hungry as well. I can't remember having a bad burger in my life let alone not finishing one, but today was that day. A few other things. We had a long drive so I went to the bathroom before leaving, and the toilet stall had no toilet paper. I had to use part of a toilet seat paper covering thing to get to the next stall to grab some paper. Also that pay at the table thing. It was not taking the gift card, and kept giving an error. We needed the help of the hostess, who could not do it, who turned to the waitress, who eventually had to go to the back to somehow get it to work. Also the pay at the table thing has some suggestions for tips. It lies. Percentages are supposed to based on Pre-tax totals. I don't like getting lied to. In any case, I ended up just giving the gift card and a bunch of cash to the waitress and just told her to keep it. She was a little surprised because I think she noticed I didn't finish my burger and I did not look like a happy camper. (I still tip over the percentage recommended) it was clearly not her fault it was bad burger, and my gal had enjoyed her food. All I can say is, I don't think I will ever eat at that restaurant again for the rest of my life. read more

This is the type of place that you can come in expecting a 3 star experience and almost be guaranteed a 3 star experience... this is NOT a bad thing mind you, there is nothing wrong with being A-OK in my book. The Fajitas here while not spectacular are surprisingly better than the majority of Mexican restaurants around my place...and there are a LOT of these. Never too much of a wait here, the staff has been friendly on pretty much every visit I have had here, and yes I will go back here. The Chips and Salsa are always decent and the Skillet Queso is a guilty pleasure. There are always some sort of special on dinners for 2 etc, and if you sign up for the birthday club you get a free dessert, and their rewards club currently gives you free chips and salsa. Now if they would bring back the Baby Back Ribs jingle..I want my baby back baby back baby back... I would give an extra star just for that! read more

Almost immediately after eating at chili's my family was sick. The only thing we all ate that was the same was the guacamole. When my wife called down to speak to Scott, the manager about what was in the guacamole. He told us they make it fresh..... in the morning. By the time we ordered it, it had been sitting in the refrigerator for over 8 hours. THAT'S NOT FRESH SCOTT! That is avocados being pulled in and out of a refrigerator collecting bacteria all day. I have eaten at many Chili's and this was by far the worst. There was a 15 minute wait for a table so we sat at the bar. The bartender was constantly on his phone and we had to flag him several times. The menus were sticky and gross, and on the way to the restroom I noticed at least four big tables that were dirty, and the floor was a mess as guests lined up on the bench and standing waiting for a table. The food was terrible. The flat bread pizza was super greasy and soggy. The fajita steak was inedible, literally could not even chew it enough to swallow, had to spit every piece out. The bartender of course saw this on the plate and just put a napkin over it, never asked how the meals were. That night and the following day we were both sick, the only common denominator was the food we shared here. Terrible service, not clean, horrible food, will not ever return. read more

Nice, clean & friendly eatery. The young lady in front greeted us warmly & seated us right away. Our waiter Jesus was polite, friendly, attentive & provided outstanding customer service. He was busy but our order came out promptly & our glasses were always full. We opted for the 2 for $25 deal, which came with choice of appetizers (we chose garden salads with ranch dressing), entree, and choice of dessert (we chose cheesecake). Hubby ordered the margarita grilled chicken & I ordered the mango-chile chicken. Both tasty with tender, juicy chicken, Mexican rice & veggies. Salads were good and the cheesecake was yummy! I eat at this location all the time, for both lunch and dinner. First I will say this Chili's has some terrific people working here. The manager's all aim to please and try to bring good quick service. There are some standout servers here as well. My only gripe here is the place seems legitimately "under staffed" whereby you'll have to wait unacceptably long to get a table. You'll see whole sections closed down and clearly not enough waiters and waitresses. To that end, it's not their fault, however, a note to the ownership would be to better staff this location as it's on a main thoroughfare and attracts a lot of people. There are some very good people here so understand it's not their fault there isn't enough people working at any given moment. Solid 3/5 and could easily be 4/5 if they staff it with more people. read more
