Ordered the shrimp fajitas and they were just okay. Shrimp was salty, rice was hard, and they gave me corn tortillas that were in literal pieces. The beans and guacamole were good. I was surprised and pleased that our service at the Garner location was absolutely fantastic. On a busy Saturday during peak dinner time, we didn't anticipate to have such quick attention. Our server, Mike, was top notch - bringing us drink refills before we asked, getting our food out quickly, and offering us boxes and to go drinks upon wrapping up. I wish that Chili's would start reopening locations in Northern Virginia. It seems like I am down to the Springfield location. We love the food, the prices, and service. We always have a good meal, but we have a 20 minute drive. Chili's is part of our eating out routine and we also love the rewards program if not just for the free chips and salsa. Only thing that needs to change is the fajitas option for bell peppers. Having the onions mixed in has made me start eating other dishes. We Had a 5 min wait, and was seated fairly fast. We Needed more time on the food order. The waiter took the drink order then didn't return for a small amount of time. This place is fifthly. There was garbage all over the floors and it looks like they have not moped or cleaned in a very long time. Dust all over the lights and ceiling fixtures. (This is my biggest problem with a lot of chain Restaurants.. they never have employees clean the fixtures or anything like that. Blah gross. ) I got the rancher burger without onions and my husband got the fajita. The burger was super greasy and there was less than a teaspoon of ranch on the whole thing. It was like eating meat, cheese and grease. Not worth the price. Blah. I tried the corn on the cob it tasted like it was sat in a warmer then smeared with butter.. just not good.. not fresh at all. My husbands plate had cold flavorless rice and the meat tasted like it was just defrosted in the microwave then cooked. Again not worth the price. This was my First time trying a chilis and a last time. One of my favorite places to eat! I prefer this location over other locations across Raleigh, and this one has great hours too being open late. My boyfriend and I normally come in after our dinner and order just the chips and salsa and a cookie skillet as a treat and we still get excellent service and he gets to sit back and watch whatever sports game is on. Haven't been in Chili's for a while thought I'd give them a try again since we had a gift card. At best it's mediocre food. Too many sauces and toppings and everything that just make the appearance of a mess on your plate. Heard extensive info about their quesadilla explosion salad, so opted for that. The lettuce and salad could have been fresher, but the flavors meshed well. The cheese quesadilla side was hot and melted perfectly. My guy had the ribs, slaw and fries. Only thing fresh was the fries, as they showed up behind the entree in a separate container. I had forgotten that most chains rely on pre-packaged, pre-prepared entrees that can be reheated in the oven or microwaved. Few cook or prepare from scratch. He said the barbecue sauce at least made the ribs tastier they were tender and did fall off the bone. I guess for casual dining, it's okay, but we probably won't make it one of our go-to's. As far as service, the only thing lacking was quicker refills on our beverages. Based on the previous reviews I've read, that seems to be the norm. Unfortunate, considering it's almost $3 for a beverage. Water with lemon may be a better choice. read more

Honestly hit or miss. I've had great lunch/dinner outings here and I've had bad ones. Overall, food is good. Service isn't bad. Certain staff I love because they are wonderful! I love the triple dipper. My favorite appetizer I usually order as a meal. I love having variety and options in one sit down meal and the triple dipper let's me have that. Usually I love this Chilis and I will give it another chance because I know this was probably just an off day. It started with the POS system not sending in the food and drink order. There was a little bit of time before this was noticed and the server took care of it well, so I had no problem with this happening. When the food came out, my order was incorrect and I mentioned it to the server who took it away promptly to fix the issue. I checked and it had been entered right on the tablet/bill. When the correct food was brought out by I assume a manager, the explanation given was that it was our servers first day. This is where I had a problem, as the order was correct on the screen. I do not believe it was okay to blame a server for a mistake that was not their fault. Taking all of that away, the food was good as always and we enjoyed our trip. I just find when something like this happens it needs to be brought to attention so proper accountability is taken. read more

Came here because of national margarita day and they was promoting the take home cups as well as the monthly $5 margarita . The bar wasn't crowded but the restaurant itself was kind of full. Their should've been two bartenders instead of one maybe we would've gotten better service . The original margarita was just too sour for me and lacked quality and that came in a take home plastic cup. The other one wasn't too bad it was called the hearts on fire, minus the fireball in it, it would've been great. I didn't even get buzz from both drinks. I think this location lacks quality of service at the bar but can't expect too much at a two star restaurant like chili's . read more

We got the buffalo sauce on the side. If you like buffalo sauce this one has a nice kick to it. I was surprised at the portion of my entree. I ordered the bacon avocado chicken sandwich with fries. Their fries were great, served hot dashes with salt and pepper. I felt like I had 2 sandwiches. I ate one for dinner and then saved the other for lunch tomorrow. Two pieces of chicken breast for each sandwich on a delicious bun topped with 2 slices of bacon on each sandwich and of course avocado, cheese and tomato. Absolutely delicious! I recommend this dish! My husband got the shrimp tacos it comes with 3 of them. He got rice and black beans with it. He said it was good! He finished all his food! Not one piece of rice left on the plate. Also if you don't have their rewards sign up for it! You can get free chips and salsa or a non alcoholic drink up to $5 I believe at each visit as long as you maintain status and I think you only need to go every 60 days to keep the status. I miss the old Chili's. I used to love going to their restaurants, Country style steak, amazing ribs, and that wonderful lava cake. It was one of my favorite places. Was being the Operative word. My meal last night was worse than bad. Even the lava cake sucked. There was a hint of the chocolate shell that looks like painted on poo. The waitress stood at the bar and had us yell our order to her. And the food was food I think but I'm not sure about that. My granddaughter was served under cooked chicken and I was served liquid Buffalo sauce That was more water than Buffalo sauce.
