I have heard about Texas Roadhouse for a while and been wanting to try it but there is only one TR here in WA and in the base so have never had a chance to try it! When I visited NC last Christmas, decided to drive here and try it out after a cancelled flight to light up my day! I knew I made the right choice! The complimentary bread is very good, I'm not a big fan of bread but I finished them all in one sitting. I ordered kebab with shrimp skewers! The food was cooked perfectly and with that price tho, it exceeded my expectation! The vibe inside was very lively and all the staff are very friendly too! Wish there are more opened ones in Pacific Northwest, I would come here every week haha

Had a birthday coupon so we decided to have dinner here. I ordered the 6 oz sirloin with chili and seasoned corn. My coupon was for a free sidekick so I ordered the grilled shrimp. The steak was tender and done to perfection. The shrimp were grilled perfectly and were delicious. As usual, the rolls and cinnamon butter were yummy

Consistently good. The food is always tasty. Went on a busy Friday afternoon and was seated almost immediately. Loud as usual, crazy packed but didn't feel rushed or annoyed. Our server was attentive and thoughtful. I tried the sangria margarita which was so good we also got the ribeye and ribs, a house salad, a cactus blossom. It was all good. Fast and easy checkout process and got a bag of peanuts to go. All in all a good time.

I swore I'd never go back to this specific Texas Roadhouse again. But 3 years later, I thought maybe things would be different. We decided to no longer trust takeout after the previous 5 times and to eat in instead. We were sat immediately and our waitress was very nice. We ordered L.I.T and didn't see her for awhile. When she brought them out, she asked what we wanted to eat. We had a voucher for a free appetizer and chose the blooming onions. We both ordered chicken fried chicken, both with extra gravy, seasoned rice, I had mashed potatoes, my husband had a baked potato. (This is important later). Our appetizer came to the small table at the same time as our lunch, so everything was super cramped. Within 20 minutes, I started feeling sick. I told my husband that I wasn't feeling well and would take the rest home. I waited patiently for him to finish eating. We brought the majority of our meals home. After a couple hours of a nap, I woke up feeling okay. So I finished what I had ordered and bam. Started feeling sick again. I decided to go to bed early, maybe it was just super greasy and salty? I woke up at 3:30 am...the day of my first day back at work after having three weeks off. FOOD POISONING. I couldn't call out sick, I was just out for a long time! I sucked it up, dealt with the joy of food poisoning at work, came home miserable. Husband was also very sick. My fever broke that night and I made a promise to the universe, "I'm done with the Wake Forest Texas Roadhouse forever."

I had dinner here last night and have no complaints. We ordered the mozzarella sticks, and they were delicious with the marinara and ranch sauces. I got the chicken Caesar salad with fries, and everything was so good and delightful. Our server, Brittany, was the best; she was so attentive and had great service skills. She was always polite and checking up on us if we needed refills. Overall, the experience was great , and I will definitely go back.

This place is one of my personal favorites!!! I come here some times maybe for a birthday or just to enjoy a nice dinner to eat out. One of my favorite things they do/have here is 1 the birthday dance/song they do and 2 there rolls with the cinnamon butter. Some times it might take like 30-45 minutes just to get seated or maybe even an hour but not that they are slow they just have so many people eating there. The workers are just so nice and are absolutely best they can do.

Our server, Dawn, was easily one best servers I've had in a long time. Knowledgeable about the menu, made a point to explain everything and no questions were too obscure. We had a variety of dishes, and out of everything the pork schnitzel wasn't really a schnitzel if you've ever had one in Germany, it was more like a breaded, fried bone-in pork chop, really good but not a traditional schnitzel. The asparagus, the risotto, the pasta, the chicken were all absolutely superior. The stars were the appetizers, especially the kung pao fried Brussels, those are a meal by themselves, some of the best I've ever had! The fried burrata cheese, worth the drive to Wake Forest. Their Cherry cobbler one word: YUM! The Farm Table is a roomy restaurant with tables well suited for family style dining and while a bit loud, certainly not uncomfortably so Totally recommended and thank me later for those Brussel Sprouts!

After a couple bites I gave up. When the server came by and offered me a different entree. She recommended the Lamb Kebobs. They were also dry and tasteless. Everyone else in our party had great meals. The braised Short Rib was the star of the night. I will have to give this place a second try and see if I have better luck.

Shannon was humorous, kind and explained the menu very thoroughly so that we understood. In addition, he asked us what brought us to Amalia's and catered to our occasion. While we were in town for a wedding, we also were celebrating some home wins as well which Shannon took note of and gave us complimentary drinks at the end of our evening which was so kind. We started our evening off with some NA mocktails made in house which resembled a mojito. There were fresh strawberries and a lime wedge on top of the cup. I appreciated that this drink wasn't overly sugary and was the perfect blend of refreshing we needed especially after a flight. From there, we got complimentary house bread which was outstanding as it contained oil and onions baked in. Delicious! Shannon explained the menu was tapas style or small plate. We lead with the zucchini appetizer which had pistachios on top and were given suggestions on how to eat it. We went with the sushi method and ended up rolling the thinly sliced zucchini with a fork and it was perfect!! A very fun experience and such a unique menu option. For our main dishes, my husband has the steak and mashed potato special while I had the truffle cavatelli with sausage. Both items were out of this word and the perfect portion size. Shannon knew we loved the bread and brought us more to our table even though I'm fairly certain that is supposed to be for the beginning of the coursing. While our bellies were too stuffed for dessert right then and there, we did get cannolis to go and they are currently up in our fridge. We look forward to trying! We were able to see the other patrons order dinner in house and the entire layout is a production. If you have the chance and room for dessert, I highly recommend because the staff prepares it for you at your table. In addition, there are lovely coffee pairings with each dessert as an option as well. **Note: Amalia's does not carry red sauce. Many of the pastas are white sauce by design. This was not a deal breaker for us but it might be for someone else. Thank you, Amalia's! You were exactly the Italian cuisine we craved!

After running errands, we drove just six minutes to El Chapin, a Guatemalan restaurant. Forget Tex-Mex--this is a completely different Latin cuisine experience. The two of us spent $76 (including tax and tip), but we intentionally ordered extra to take home leftovers. Parking was easy, right out front, and the restaurant itself is spacious. Since we arrived just a few minutes after opening, we had the place to ourselves at first and were seated immediately. Service was prompt and very helpful--the server even suggested we might have ordered too much food (he was right, but we didn't mind!). Here's what we tried: Plato Chorizo y Longaniza - a sausage platter with salad, rice, refried black beans, and two delicious housemade corn tortillas. Pollo Adobado - marinated chicken with rice, salad, refried black beans and two housemade corn tortillas . Ceviche de Camarón - fresh and tangy, though light on shrimp, which tasted a bit tough Fried Plantains - perfectly done, sweet, and satisfying. Plus, I had an unsweetened iced tea with lemon. The highlights for me were the flavorful rice (with vegetables mixed in, including carrots and squash), the marinated chicken, and the sausages. The plantains were also excellent. The ceviche had great flavor but could've used more shrimp. The only miss for me was the salad--generous in portion but iceberg-based, so a bit bland. Overall, the food was fresh, flavorful, not heavy or greasy, and we left with enough for another one or two meals. We'll definitely be back.

You really do 'get what you pay for'. The bar and dining area are casual, modern and inviting. There is also a spacious patio for al fresco dining when the weather is nice. I was particularly impressed with the Salmon BLT. This enhanced version of the classic BLT is hearty, meaty, slightly crunchy and simply delicious. Another favorite of ours is the Honey-Chipotle Shrimp Wrap with lettuce and roasted red peppers. There are plenty of lightly fried, slightly briny shrimp crammed into an interesting spinach tortilla wrap. The unlimited basket of golden brown, almost sweet Hush Puppies comes with semi-soft honey butter - addictive. There are several lunch options on the 'Small Plate' menu (we found the servings to be more than adequate). That old standard, Fish and Chips was done to perfection. The thick piece of delicate, mild white fish was was covered in a light, golden-brown batter. I substituted Fried Okra for the Potatoes, and it was delicious. The Flounder and Oyster small plate is another winner. The ten crunchy, juicy fried oysters and a large founder filet were cooked just right. Small plates also include a small cup of Cole Slaw. The colossal slice of Coconut Cheesecake was simply scrumptious - creamy, smooth and so coconutty. Do yourself a favor and indulge.
