Yes--this is a 5 star Chilis. This is everything that Chilis should be. It didn't surprise me when our server told us it's a training facility. There was nothing that wasn't perfect. The hostess was an absolute ball of happiness. Our server was genuinely warm and made sure we never needed a thing. We could always see the manager either helping out or constantly scanning the room to make sure everything was excellent. (Sorry I'm terrible with remembering names). The food was the best I remember since the late 80's/early 90's Chilis. If you are a Texan, you will understand this. Also, a strawberry Presidente with chips and salsa is still the most perfect combination on the planet. Please re-train the staff at my home Chilis in McKinney at 121/Custer. read more

KNIFE HELD TO THROAT I had a very serious and unsafe experience at this bar. On April 8, 2026, I was there in the evening when staff were clearly over-serving alcohol. One individual had reportedly been drinking since early afternoon, and by around 10 PM the situation escalated to the point where he pulled a knife and held it to my throat. This should never happen anywhere, especially in a licensed establishment serving alcohol. In my view, the lack of intervention and oversight created a dangerous environment for everyone present. Instead of taking accountability. Since the incident, I have personally observed what appears to be continued over-serving at the location, which raises ongoing concerns about management and staff practices. I strongly encourage management to seriously review their policies, training, and security procedures before someone gets seriously hurt. read more

I am not usually a Chili's fan... For me this chain is just an endless menu of subpar bad for you food that has about as much imagination as a soggy prune danish. However when I was looking for a place to grab a drink before I had to go this was right down from my hotel. My boss and I headed in. She ordered a margarita and I ordered a big vanilla porter. They actually hand made the margarita.. no store bought mix... they hand squeezed the limes and did it all from scratch! My vanilla porter was excellent too. Our waiter was fantastic. Very nice, jovial even, and he paid enough attention without hovering. We didn't eat... I havent just lost my mind... but we did enjoy our hour here for sure! read more

We chose to sit at the bar for lunch today. Interesting point of view... from what we overheard from the staff, as well as a few of the guests, there must have been a heck of a good party the night before! So much so, that they were all too hungover to bus tables, clean bar ware, take orders or provide napkins/silverware. Our napkins were finally delivered by a man sharing the bar with us, who introduced himself as a former employee... we were sorry he left before we did, as we felt like our tip should have gone to him! The food was good, other than the sliders being dried out due to being over cooked, but the service was seriously lacking!! At our departure an hour later, the tables had still not been bussed, one of the bartenders was sleeping in a booth, and our server was letting it be known that she was "on a path of sobriety" due to not being able to remember anything from the night before.... To say that this Chili's is horrible would be quite accurate. I have been to this location multiple times over the last eight years, and the food/ service has just gotten worse. It's apparent there is a serious problem with the Jacksonville location because I have visited a lot of Chili's locations over the US, and the food and service was great. I went with a friend and we had to wait 30+ minutes just to place our order. We both ordered the 3 for 10 and had to practically beg our waiter to just refill our drinks. My loaded potato soup was cold, which is just nasty and other people who had come in after us got their food way before us, never mind we practically waited over an hour. I think that this restaurant is very poorly managed and it is unacceptable how they treat their customers. Would give zero stars if I could! read more

Went here with my family and ordered. The usual Chips & Salsa came out and all was well. On the second round of salsa & chips, I bit into something very hard that did not crunch or break. When I pull it out of my mouth, it was a piece of plastic. When I notified the manager she immediately apologized and began investigating what it was and how it ended up in the salsa. When she returned she explained what was the cause and apologized. Now, I would give this place a 2-star or less, but because the management handled the issue with such urgency and professionalism, 3-stars are appropriate. (Comp'ing the ENTIRE meal was a factor as well) Plus, the Chipoltle Chicken Flatbread was sooooo delicious, and the Watermelon lemonade was slammin' (according to my wife). Stopped at this location today. A little early for lunch but it beats fast food. Autumn was a rock star. She was possibly the brightest part of the visit. I ordered the bottomless bowl of soup, salad, and chips. The salad was disappointing in that it was wilted and gave me the distinct impression that it had been made sometime before posibly a day when it was served as it was pretty pitiful. Chips were great as always, and the soup was good. Overall it was a good value, and we were in and out in less than 45 minutes. I was not going to be one of those customers for a salad, as that usually generates a visit with management and so on. Stopped here for lunch today. Wow! What a great Chili's (and I don't generally like casual dining chains). This was one of the CLEANEST restaurants I have ever seen. Everything was immaculate. I was stunned by how shiny everything was - even the menus were clean with no food spatter or fingerprints. The food - a mushroom swiss burger - was exactly what I wanted and hit the spot. The staff was friendly and attentive without becoming obnoxious. It's a shame I don't think I'll even be going through Jacksonville again, but if you do, stop by. You'll be glad you did. read more

Places, Plates and Pillows is on the road again. Another job and another town, this time we are in East Texas at Jacksonville, Texas. Our last night here my co-workers and I went here for our last meal. We got seated fast, and the waitress got our drink order and out drinks very fast. We gave our order and before we knew it the salads were out and dinner was on it's way. Food came out next, everyones food was hot and tasted great. Service was the best we have seen in a Chili's in a long time. So if your in the East Texas area and need a place to grab a bite, this is a place to stop at. This is a good restaurant and serves the Cherokee County community very well. The issue I have is with the kitchen speed of getting food out to us diners. Simple three item appetizer platter and a small sirloin steak took over 35 minutes to arrive on the table. read more

I walked in with my friends and was "greeted" by a blonde and brunette. They literally stared at me like a deer in headlights and only responded when I told them I needed a table. I've been to this Chili's a few times and it's just OK. I've dined in and the menu was greasy along with the table... That alone gives me the heeby jeebies... Today I ordered my favorite enchiladas to go. I was so sad to find them over cooked and lacking their usual punch of awesomeness. I had black beans on the side.... I love their black beans... But today they were ice cold.... I mean c'mon.... All I ask is that you toss em in the microwave! But nope... If you are craving Chili's I'd say make the extra drive to Tyler... The food at Chili's is good if you are dining in but if you are ordering it online (taking out), your food will come out cold. I've ordered online from Chili's a couple of times and my cheese fries are always cold and the cheese is always over cooked. If you are dining in though, I highly recommend the 6oz steak! read more

The only reason I am giving this place 1 star is I have to , so I can write a review. This is by far one of the worst chili's I can ever remember going in. Service was extremely slow with several people standing around the bar. Our food was brought out on dirty plates, that would wipe clean with a napkin. I know this because I did it. Needless to say i didnt eat this evening. The people joining me expressed that their food was mediocre at best. I will never return to chiles order a steak extra well done even ask for it to be burnt and when it was brought to the table it was red and blood was coming out of it so the waitress was just going to take the steak off my plate and have it cook more what sense that makes I do not want to eat a steak raw but I want to eat the sides that where on the same plate that now have the bloody juice on them so I sent it all back did not get anything and all u get is the price of what u order off the ticket I remember when a restaurant would give u a discount if they messed ur food up but point being if I order something it should be right the first time and on top of that if u want ketchup on ur hamburger they can't put it on there u have to use the one on the table.
