I really wanted to give all five stars for this location. From the staff taking my order at the drive thru menu board to receiving our order, it was a good experience! But the actual sandwich (which I order every time I visit Schlotsky's) wasn't the best because I don't like so much roast beef, but that is personal preference. It was fresh and had the signature cut in the middle since I ordered a medium. Also, the entrance has a huge upward dip. So when you are crossing traffic from the opposite side your vehicle will bottom out. Same with exiting although it wasn't as dramatic of a bump. Just be aware of potential damage! read more

The bread was different not what I remember from 2 years ago. I asked for no Mustard or onions on my original sandwich, I got anyways. Never have received an inferior sandwich from the Hillsboro or Waco Schlotzsky's. The restaurants are clean & service has been typical of most fast food restaurants. If you get in the points program, every Wed, it's a buy one, get one individual pizza deal. No doubt, they should re-evaluate their prices, because they are a tad high, but what restaurant isn't, in this "challenging" economy? I'm a baby boomer & can still recall going to the first Schlotzsky's in Waco. Always have been a fan of their unique sandwiches & will continue to patronize their stores. read more

I will admit that it isn't a great location, it is kind of hard to turn into, but the restaurant itself is really good. I go fairly often and the service has always been spit on. Always polite, always accurate and always delivered with a smile. Don't hesitate to give it a try. I like Schlotsky's anyway, for the $ the food is delicious and always nice and hot. When I get tired of the regular grind of hamburgers or pizza this is a nice change. And that Bread!!!! read more

Got a cinnamon roll and it was not good. It was hard and cold. A cinnamon roll is suppose to be soft and warm. I called to ask about this and they said it was made fresh but it was hard because it was sitting out. Not at all satisfied for my first time here. Took 25 minutes in the drive-thru. There were only 3 customers total. After I arrived to the window and paid I waited another 15 minutes. I would've left but I was trapped in the drive thru between cars. The worker came back to the window 3 times after I paid to ask me what I had ordered. When I got home my flat bread was ICE cold and appeared to be raw/way undercooked. I was not able to eat any of it. This is one of the most expensive fast-food places in town and they should be able to do better. read more

Of the national chains with stores in Jacksonville, I think Schlotsky's was the most recent addition. Located on property adjacent to Denny's, this restaurant has only been open less than a year. During their grand opening, they had over hired and were trying out their employees until they could "cut the roster" down to the compliment of employees they would keep. This store is still experiencing growing pains that generally come with any new business venture. Despite this, the quality of food is what you would expect. The keeper employees are not rude. They do make mistakes but those are few are far between. I have to order anything I eat without tomatoes. It's hell living in the Tomato Capital and be allergic to tomatoes. The one cool thing this store has that no other fast food restaurant in Jacksonville has is a computerized drink dispenser. It has a touchscreen to scroll through an on screen menu to select your drink. Once you select your drink, it is programmed to dispense a preset amount of liquid before shutting off automatically. I think the default amount is for the smallest size they offer which means for larger drinks, you have to go through the process of selecting your drink more than once to fill your cup adequately. read more

I was passing through Jacksonville and I decided to stop at this location. I live in the Fort Worth/Dallas area and I have gone to 3 or 4 different Schlotzsky's in my area and they have all been alright. But the Schlotzsky's in Jacksonville was awesome! There was actually meat on the sandwich, in DFW they put a tiny amount of meat on your sandwich, I didn't realize I was being cheated until I went to this location in Jacksonville. The employees were also extremely nice, not like in the city. I go through Jacksonville a few times a year and I will be stopping again. All other Schlotzsky owners need to stop at this location too and find out how they need to be running their stores! Best schlotzsky original I have had since I was 7! read more

We went for a Valentines day lunch and we ordered and it came to 34.00 dollar and we were shocked at the price for 2 lunches. We said no way and went to Pizza hut for 1/2 the price. You can also eat at Subway for 21/2 times for that price. Very disappointed in the pricing at Schlotzsky's read more
