We've been loyal customers of this Chili's for years because the food and service have consistently been great. Unfortunately, today was our third negative experience in a row, and it has reached a point where it affects whether we return. Our server -- the red‑haired male with a beard -- turned what should have been an enjoyable visit into a frustrating one. Service was slow, he spent more time socializing with coworkers at the bar than taking care of guests, we didn't receive drinks before our food, and at one point he spoke to us in a dismissive and inappropriate manner. The interaction was uncomfortable enough that we chose not to stay for the meal at all. The manager was polite and listened, and we appreciated that. But when employees prioritize chatting over guests and speak to customers in a disrespectful way, it sends a message that the customer experience isn't valued. That's the kind of pattern that causes long‑time customers to stop coming. We're not looking for compensation or a free meal. We simply wanted to enjoy our time and be treated like we matter. We hope this feedback helps, because we would like to continue being customers -- but experiences like this make it difficult. read more

For the appetizer, I went with the Triple Dipper. It was mostly decent overall but the Nashville Hot Mozzarella? Way too salty. Like, extremely salty to the point where it was hard to eat more than a couple bites. The rest of the dipper items were fine, nothing special. Main dish was the Ancho Salmon, which surprised me in a good way. The salmon itself was solid, and I didn't expect the pesto sauce (or whatever that citrus-chili drizzle is) to work as well as it did - it blended nicely without overpowering. Flavor was there, but the rice on the side came out a bit dry, which was disappointing and made it feel less cohesive. Overall, not a terrible experience, but the long wait combined with some inconsistent food (especially that overly salty mozzarella) left me underwhelmed. Chilis, Happy Hour and World Cup soccer, trifecta. WYSiWYG. You always know the ambience in Chilis is frenetic and wonderful. The service was jovial and lifted the atmosphere. We ate in the bar are which was roomy and friendly. My wife loved the cosmotini. I had cold Modelo which pairs with everything Chilis. Tres dips were all very good and again it is based on Chilis and not fine dining. The burger and fries equally good. We had a wonderful time with plenty to take home. read more

My husband and I had a very enjoyable lunch at this restaurant. When first entering it was welcoming, clean and we were seated immediately. Our waitress ( Nai) was amazing friendly with a great sense of humor, she was helpful, attentive and courteous not just to us but to others as well. My adult kids and I love trying the margarita of the month. We would get the chips and salsa and my kids enjoyed the fried mozzarella stick and the burger. The food is a bit salty for my taste so I just stick to the margarita and chips. They have great happy hour too. Service is always nice, but they get really busy. Sometimes we sit at the bar and sometimes we sit in the booth. They have great happy hour menu so it does get so busy. I think we pretty much tried all the margarita of the month except for December. The service is good despite how busy they are. I do have my favorite server who seems to enjoy being there. He's always on top of everything. I forgot his name.. sorry. I've been here quite a few times and I must say on average this place is pretty consistently good, seems to get better every time I comeback so that is pleasing. We had a gentleman waking us whom said it was his first day. For his first day he did pretty well. Him and his shadow were very tentative! Place is always well lit with tvs and the perfect ambiance. Cleanliness is never an issue here either! Food came out hot, took somewhat of a long time but they were also very busy. So I gave grace for that! If you're looking for something reliable to eat. My wife and I came in for dinner. The nice hostess said we had a 5-10 minute wait. Approximately 10 minutes went by and a party of 6 walked in. They were told it would be a 15 minute wait. 5 minutes later they were sat and we were skipped. I ask why we weren't seated first since we were here 10 minutes before them. My friend and I came here on a Monday for a NFL playoff game. At first we were seated in an area of the restaurant where nobody else was. We asked to sit by a TV since we came to watch the game & were able to be seated elsewhere right away. Chips & salsa are good as always. The January margarita of the month was mostly sprite & watered down. I got my usual triple dipper with ranch and had leftovers for later. The Nashville mozzarella was hot so it had a nice cheese pull. My friend got the steak & shrimp fajitas and added guac. I have never been to this location nor a Chili's in years! I went in to try the viral mozzarella cheese. We went on a weeknight and surprisingly it was a lot of people but not packed though. We were seated almost right away. The host who was a bald man was nice. The waiter (I forgot his name already but he told us he's been working in the back for years but it was his 1st day out front) was sooo nice and very accommodating. He did an amazing job for his first night being out and is a great asset to the frontline. We got the 3 sampler appetizer and chose hot honey mozzarella, sliders, and Nashville tenders. They were all delicious and lived up to its hype! My son got steak which he devoured. My husband and I both got cheeseburgers from the $10 menu which is a steal! You get a drink, burger, fries, and side such as salad or the chips and salsa. We love their chips it came out warm, it was light and crispy and lightly salted! We did have a quick dinner and was out of there within an hour. I need to keep this place in mind when wanting to grab a quick lunch, bite, dinner or even to watch the games and hangout at the bar since they have a bunch of tvs! Once again we haven't been here for quite a few months but decided to try again. We each did the 3 for me. I had the double smash burger and added bacon. My wife had the Oldtimer burger. Both burgers were very good. Also had the chips and salsa. My wife really likes the chips as they're so light and crispy. The salsa is mediocre when compared to that of Mexican restaurants. Our server was ok but the best service was from the guy delivering everything. They still have an issue with clearing dishes as we sat with dirty dishes for at least 15 minutes or more before we were asked about dessert and slow on refills as well. The real thing that's the problem is the stupid Ziosk! Kept trying to log in and it was constant "Error". It took forever to have the manager finally get our complimentary dessert removed from our bill but I give her props for also taking one of our drinks off even though it was just a Diet Coke. The molten chocolate lava cake is always delicious. All in all we were there a good extra 20 minutes going through the Ziosk mess. It was one of those times a server goes above and beyond without being too much or you fell repeatedly interrupted. Spot on what server should do! The sliders were deliciously juicy and actually cooked to a perfect medium-well just how i like . AAAAnd the og mozzarella sticks definitely came in clutch with a cheese-pull that stretched out for DAYS. I THINK MY KIDS AND I HAD TOO MUCH FUN WITH THAT ONE . Stopped by for a quick bite! It wasn't busy (2:00pm on a Tuesday). The host said it would be about a 10 minute wait. We asked if we could sit in the bar because there were several open tables. She didn't bother to walk us to a table just handed us the menus. Our waiter was nice enough except he kept calling us "you guys". We were 2 women. We had the burger lunch special which included a side salad. The burgers showed up but no salads. When I inquired he said "they" must have forgot. So he brought our salads to us. But since we didn't want our food to get cold we ate our burgers first. This has never happened, there's usually an order in which your food comes out. And if I hadn't asked about the salads we probably wouldn't have gotten them. The service was okay but not anything to rave about. The waiter may have been too distracted. Today I just ordered an appetizer southwestern egg rolls and the sliders and I asked for three of the ranch dressings. When they brought my meal, they only brought one ranch dressing and two of the green ones. I'm not sure what they are maybe avocado or something like that. I had to pay a dollar extra to get the two other ranch dressings Because they supposedly come that way. Unfortunately, they didn't say anything when I ordered which pisses me off. Today some friends suggested we go to Chili's La Mesa for lunch for the widely advertised 3 for lunch special for $11.99. I looked up the special on their website but there was no mention of it. The only website option was to order online. So I asked Google. Google gave me info on the special, see screenshot below. However, when I got to the restaurant, I discovered that all the entrées on the 3 for lunch special have been eliminated except the burger. A classic example of bait and switch. I tried to convince my friends to go somewhere else, but since we were already seated, they wanted to stay. The salad I ordered was $18 and did not include a drink. So Chili's got an extra 10 bucks out of me today, but they lost a customer and caused me to write this awful review. Always enjoy Chili's. The food is good and reasonably priced. They have great good variety of beers on draft. That 3 for me is the deal of the century. On this occasion, the service was great, food met expectations, my only issue was the wait and seating. Checked in party of six, TWO BOYS, 5 and 7, told 20-30 mins, fair, it was busy. You can see your place in line here at Yelp, we were 8th, 10 mins, 4th, making good progress, pretty sure we would be seated soon, even saw a table and told my grandson there is where there are going to put us. Now they start seating party's of 2, 3 even four that came in after us. 15 mins, we are on deck. Great, 20 mins, (boys 5 and 7) no call, table i saw, empty, 25 mins, nothing, table empty, people arriving being seated. 30 mins, nothing, etc. etc. finally i walk over and comment, excuse me, it has been 35 mins, people who came in 4 mins ago are being seated, are we still on there? There we were, she says just a moment and literally takes us to the table that has been empty for over 30 mins??????? Server was great!! Speed was great, for us two games for two boys. Got a old smasher burger, I ate half and got terrible stomache pains afterward, i took the other half of the burger home and when my girlfriend looked at it it was very pink inside, i didn't notice when i was eating, it has now been 6 days since and my stomache is still not 100%. I love chilis but my experience from this location was terrible, i recommend finding a different location. I will never be back to this location and will be staying away from all chilis locations for a while. Make sure to check your food is fully cooked and if it tastes a bit weird don't keep eating. On top of this the service was terrible, our server rushed thru our order and walked away before we could order alcoholic drinks, so I just didn't order a drink. No one came to our table asking if we needed anything after that, we had to flag down our waitress to get the bill because the kiosk at the table didn't have our bill on it.
