I love Chili's! I wanted to try the Triple Dipper again, but with the Southwestern Egg Rolls, and they were pretty good. The Big Mouth Bites and Fried Mozzarella are still my favorites. The chips and salsa here is my favorite. My boyfriend and I came at an off time (3 or 4pm), so we were some of the only patrons there. I also love the huge chili pepper outside, it's very silly and a nice PokéStop. Our only complaint is that my boyfriend got the StrawEddy margarita, and both drinks were only 3/4 full (in the promo image it's filled to the top). read more

The margarita of the month was the Straw Eddy Marg. I got 2 of them for $6 each and they tasted amazing. Their flavor was a great combination of margarita and lemonade. The graphic on their menu and advertisements shows it topped to the rim but as seen in my photo both were served over an inch down from the top which is obviously a significant amount of volume. The chips and salsa were amazing, the salsa was a much better consistently this time. The chips were warm, salty, and crispy. My girlfriend ordered this variety item that had 3 types of foods and they were pretty good. The mozzarella bites were very greasy but good breading. Came here on what looked to be a busy Saturday night and sat in the bar area with my significant other. Our server, who was very friendly and kind greeted us at the table and took our order promptly even though she seemed to be swamped taking care of the entire area by herself and also taking care of the bar (maybe she was a bartender?). The food came out great with all modifications correct which we appreciated very much on such a busy night. We were having a good night until things seemed to get out of control with one of the staff members behind the bar. It was an older man with glasses that was cursing and saying inappropriate things about fellow co-workers through both his microphone and to other employees. It was hard not to focus on that since it was directly in the dining room and it was constant during the time we were there. Both of us have worked in food service so we know how it could get but thought his behavior was completely unacceptable especially the yelling, screaming, and cursing in front of guests IN the dining room. We caught one of the workers/managers mentioning his name, it was either Bryce or Brian? We will not be returning to this establishment as we don't support abusive workplaces. We've already told our friends and family about this and they are equally appalled since they also frequent this restaurant. Avoid this place if you're looking to have a good night without staff yelling and cursing at each other over their headsets. Seems that food is always on point. Restrooms are not the greatest and leave room for smell improvements-- always a sewer smell there. In the summer AC condensation drips near the bar area, in the winter cold air gusts by the dividers in the booths at bar area, and windows on exterior. We came here for my daughter's birthday. There was a lot of people waiting to be seated but I'm honestly surprised the wait wasn't long at all. Maybe 20 minutes and we were 7th in line on the wait list. Our server was great and very nice and attentive. However my food was cold to the touch. So I had to send it back. Almost ate here this evening. Walked in and said hello to the "greeter" who just stared at me. No greeting, no explanation of how to check in, nothing - just a blank stare. Saw the kiosk and entered my phone number into it. 8 to 18 minute wait. Which seemed odd since there were clearly 10 tables and booths sitting vacant. Evidently they are short-staffed. Watched another host continually rub his hand through his hair as if wiping sweat. Then he grabbed some menus. Kinda gross. Left and went to a nearby restaurant which had a 30 minute wait but a great atmosphere. People laughing and talking. Had multiple terrific interactions with staff and a terrific meal. The waitress was nice but the service was pretty terrible. She kept apologizing but it appeared as if she was assigned to too many tables. Not sure what the issue was. Items were forgotten from the drink to the salad I ordered and paid for. I asked for additional condiment and she never came back. The steak we received tasted as if it was still frozen and was the worst steak we've ever had. I overheard another server bringing the table behind us their order and said the server was busy so she'd help take care of them too. She then walked past us to a table beside us and asked if everything was ok and if they needed anything. (This table was also our server's table) if the food would have been on point I wouldn't have even minded how we were forgotten. I ordered Chili's to go tonight for dinner before a long drive and I specified to the waiter "Please make sure the pasta isn't just dry noodles, because I have had an instance where there was no sauce in my Pasta". I should have known, when you pull into a restaurant and the parking lot is empty it's not a good sign. I ordered a Bacon Rancher, thought it would be safe, hard to screw up a burger...wrong! Waited 30 minutes, told it would be 40. Number one on the wait list for the next 40 minutes still kept seating people before us that were lower on the list. Promised us several times we were next. Let me state up front that I love Chili's. Yes, it is standard "Chain-restaurant" fare. A lot of the food is pre-prepared, pre-packaged, and re-heated. But usually, most locations have good service and the food is prepared very nicely - for a chain. Not at this one. When we went there, first the service was less than expected. It wasn't busy, at all, but try to get someone to wait on you. The staff seemed to be walking all over the place, as if they were busy helping people, but there weren't that many people there and nobody seemed to be getting service. I don't really know what they were doing. We ordered the Chicken Crispers. This entree is usually my favorite at Chili's. After this experience, however, I may never order it again. It came out under-cooked and had a very rubbery texture. The flavor was definitely a little "off," as well. I picked around the outside of the food, trying to find some that was edible, but that wasn't easy. We did talk to the manager on duty. He apologized, but there was no discount offered or remedy for the poor food. That is unacceptable. We've frequented Chili's for years. Always had great food. BUT this time the service was horrible, rude and disrespectful. Arrived on a Friday night about 5:20 pm, Manhattan, KS and found that they had redone their parking lot, to find eight new, EMPTY, "to go" parking spaces to complement their already two existing spots. We have always had issues getting a handicapped spot. They only have four, but they are almost always full. Go inside to find the place had a line, despite the 8-10 empty tables, and a 20 minute wait time. Three receptionist standing around the welcome desk. I asked about the empty tables, she responded with they only had one server for that side of the restaurant. I then stated that's to bad, happening a lot now days. I then asked about the parking lot and the young lady perked up and bragged about how new it was. I asked her why they didn't have any more handicapped spots and she just looked at me with a blank stare. I asked to speak to a manager and one of the three receptionist started to laugh at my request, in regards to the parking lot. The lead receptionist asked, "You want to speak to a manager about the parking? Sir we're really busy." I said, "I would like to speak to them anyway." She got on her little walkie talkie and the gentleman chirped again laughing and while turning to the third individual who appeared to be doing nothing and said, "He really wants to talk about the parking lot", while shaking his head. The manager arrived and asked " How can I help you?" I explained about the disproportionate spots of empty "to go" vs handicapped spots. He said he was sorry. I am giving an updated review about this Chili's. My family and I decided to give it another try after we were informed that new management had taken over. Our experience was alot better alothough not quite amazing. They have a new club to join and you get free chips and salsa everytime you visit, which we love because they are delish. The food tasted alot fresher but the waitress was not slow with requests (we often asked twice), didn't interact just dropped things off and walked away before we could say thank you and our drinks were often empty. My friend and I decided to head to Chili's after a baseball game. I've only ate at a Chili's A LONG time ago, so we decided to give it a try again. Our waitress was very nice and helpful, but the food is what was disappointing. We got the chips and salsa as an appetizer- which was honestly the best thing that we ate. I ordered the smokehouse burger. It was very dry, and the onion rings on it were almost cold, and really soggy. I ordered a house salad as a side, which was inedible due to the crazy amount of onions on it. Just for us two- the total was $34. We have not eaten at chilis in quite a while. My wife and I went to manhattan to do some shopping and decided to eat there because Texas road house was busy. We should have taken the clue as to why. Food quality and taste is very below average. I had the ribs, they had very little flavor to them and we very chewy. My wife had a sunny side burger and thought something wasn't right with it, she kept smelling it thinking something was bad and just said it tastes funny. I decided to get a skillet cookie, my cookie came out not cooked and gooey. I see why this place has lots of tables available on a Friday night when others you have to wait to sit. I had tacos with rice and beans which were a little over done since the sauce and cooked to the hot plate and had to wait for it to cool down and eat.
